Octopath Traveller already had a main theme that gave me chills. This however.....elevates it to a whole other level, period. Absolutely mesmerising...! Plus, the way one can switch from day to night is magnificant.
When videogame meets art, meets nostalgia, meets greatness. I can't express how amazed I am by the content Square-Enix built here. Final Fantasy can't match this by trying. It has that much more soul than it. The campfire scene is a recognition to Chrono Trigger. Some creator showing Square-Enix the right way. As opposed to how they've misled the RPG genre since 2001 and FFX. Finally a good game.
they tried to make Final Fantasy into modern titles(as always because FF is always innovating while trying to keep anything from old generations) so Octopath Traveller is a letter that they didnt forget about old jrpgs, and they also has plan to remake all the old series games, i hope someday Chrono Trigger got a remake
Although I love this one so much … I prefer the main theme from OT1 over this one … while this one is cinematic … to me it misses some building up parts like in the first version … but after all … I still love it …
Totally opposite opinion of yours. This is like versions of A WHOLE NEW WORLD, the movie version or the pop version. The build up totally nails here than on the og. I do love the og too. I see the og as the INNOCENT version as this the MATURE version.
(Spoilers) Oh neat you get a few decorations after beating the main story final boss :D (Now time to beat Galdera and see if he also adds something to the title screen)

Fun fact if you beat the final 2 bosses the main menu changes to reflect that.

Me too! some of the flourishes and accents get drowned out by the main melody. Also, I love brass and the original had that in spades.
