Keto Mini Tiramisu for One | Low-Carb Single-Serve Tiramisu Recipe

  • KETO TIRAMISU
    This is one of my top three favorite desserts ever. It's a keto adaptation of the Italian tiramisu desserts traditionally made with mascarpone cream and espresso. For a single-serving version I use the TPH vanilla microwave mug cake as the cake layers. You can use strongly brewed coffee (even decaf) if you can't get espresso, and cream cheese works well if you can't find mascarpone cream.

      Egg yolk is a thick fat so you could try butter!

      You can leave it out, check out the written recipe linked in the description box. I have ingredient swaps listed out there, namely whipped cream or coconut cream. Sam is right though you could use some whipped butter but the texture will be different. I would recommend some heavy cream instead, about two tablespoons. :)

    Tiramisu is my favourite too but struggle with the texture of the ground almond.

      I think they just squished it to one side so that they could put the egg yolk/erythritol in it

    Is it safe to eat so much erythritol in one serving. I read too much can have laxative effects.

      It depends on the individual. My family can tolerate it well, but I get bloated. I find that I don’t have any issues woth monk fruit, so maybe give that a try instead.

    Wow that is an inordinate amount of sweetener for 1 person! That would taste way too sweet plus give me "disaster pants" for sure. I'd have to dial it down to my own taste, but thank you for providing a template recipe for my fave dessert.

      @@r2gasa It's not safe. I don't know why someone would make a vid that gives potentially dangerous advice. I've made tiramisu so often it's ridiculous, and most times, I make it low carb. Tiramisu doesn't even need egg whites, especially on Keto. Use whipping cream instead, and fold it into the marscapone after whipping that too. Folding it all together gently creates the most amazing mousse without the danger of raw eggs. Also, not sure if this person sweetened the coffee, but not doing so will result in a super bitter coffee layer. Just saying.....
