Nice job on the show. Way to go re-creating round 1 here. Looking forward to watching round 2. Great work!
I'm late coming to this video but it's really good and I went back and rewatched your episode to refresh myself. Glad to see I'm not the only one struggling with freezing up propane tanks, I was told from a proper blacksmith friend to put it in a tub of water and it makes a big difference if you haven't figured that out yet. Keep up the videos dude.
Very cool, excited to see the next one
Thanks for watching! Part 2 is now live!
Tomorrow can't get here quick enough! I can't wait to see round 2!!!
You did awesome on the show!! Thx for your inspiration!
Awesome part one redemption, looking forward to part two. Great way to show your skills.
We enjoyed seeing you on the show and know you have mad skills! Great vid :)
Girl in the Woods Thanks for tuning in guys! I had such an awesome time being apart of it, and it was fun recreating the challenge haha
Looking very good, cant wait for round 2
Thank you! Round 2 is up now!
@@RichardsonForge Yes seen that as well, amazing knife
This is awesome, can't wait for round 2 🙌
Thanks Abby!
Great video. Love your channel, looking forward to round two 👍
Nice to see the redemption!
That was fun to watch! Awesome blade! #LL100!!
Very good brother
Bro I seen u come on and about lost it bro. I wanted u to win soo bad. Still think your one of the best.
Thanks for the kind words Dalton! I had a great time on the show none the less!
Wow, not only did you do an awesome job, this is far better produced than the actual show in my opinion!! Nice job, gonna watch round 2!!
Thank you!!
Nicely done Brad. Good quality vid and also narration. I think you got something good going there. Just one little side note, plz keep the music volume down theway you did most of the vid already. I don´t mind shop noises in the background while any narration is going on, it´s part of the hole *being in the shop experience* I just turn down/up the volume, but suddenly starting loud music overlay...well I guess you get my drift. Anyways, can´t wait for the conclusion and cross my fingers for you to get a recast on the show and a chance to go through to the finals.
Regards Smarty
Great redemption Brad!
Thank you!
I would love to go watch the episode. I can't see where the season and episode you were in? Let me know?
Hey man was cool to see you one the show. Trust me I know from experience how hard it is to be on the show but it was so fun hope you had as much fun on set as I did and we all have.
Thanks man! It's definitely quite the experience haha nothing but good memories!
We are still only halfway through season 5 here. Probably won't get to see your episode this year.
I was rootin 4 ya
Bro that is just awesome to be recognized and asked to appear on the show many of us knife-nutts watch, how ever did you pull that off getting featured on the show I mean?
Thank you, it was an awesome experience! I made some history channel connections over the last couple years, and they asked if I would be interested.
I think you make some of the most beautiful and quality knives I have ever seen, I’m looking forward for your redemption round on tv, honest question, the chain wrapped around the anvil, I see it a lot, what does it accomplish? I honestly don’t know? I am just getting started on making my own blades. Thanks for your videos!
Thank you for watching! The chain helps to reduce the high pitch ringing noise that the anvil creates. Good luck getting started, I'm happy to answer any questions!
glad you justified your effort. not needed here, we know you can do it. like I said, it was the chevy steel, ahahahaha Ron
Just watched the episode. It was such a shame I was rooting for you!
Thanks for tuning in! It was a great experience none the less!
Definitely a TV show is way different from your own workshop in real life. I watch your videos regularly and you very good works. I only have one question, what is the chain hanging around the anvil for? I have seen it in other videos and I'd like to know. Regards from the end of the globe.
Thanks for watching my videos! The chain helps to reduce the high pitched ringing noise that the anvil puts off.
I’ve had my paperwork in for almost a year now ,not one word after all that
Pretty cool you were on though ,
Re-apply! They're constantly scouting for smiths, it may just take a while to finally get selected for an episode. Thanks!
Brad Richardson ,I’ll do that
Thank you
I never see anyone on the show tempering their blades down after quenching them, is it just not televised or what is the deal with that?
I read somewhere that they temper them off camera. But who really knows....
The blades are all kiln tempered prior to round 2.
@@RichardsonForge awesome, good to know and I wonder why they do not televise this step lol could be deceiving for 1st timers trying it out for themselves lmao I can hear them now "but it'll be fine, they never temper blades on F.I.F show" D'ohhh
Set the propane tank in a tub of water. It was ice up on you
Won't ice up
That's a nice trick!
Used to love forged in fire. Last few seasons it's more about the challenges and testing and not about the skill of the contestants. PS: Watching Jay Neilson break knives on purpose pisses me off!
Agree
Sorry man I was pulling for you.. didnt help you out any I'm afraid.. maybe they will let you go back..
You put a hot blade in water? Come on man everyone knows that’s a big no no. 🤦♂️
Festus McGraw hard to justify letting it cool with time during the challenge. I was to anxious to move onto the grinder haha
@@RichardsonForge I was giving you a hard time. Good job. What was the guys name who won?
