I'm currently very tired so I'm not gonna say anything else about it (sorry lol) but idk here's something else to think about.
Yeah, we've definitely discussed this before. It's especially suspicious considering that it is drowned out by Logan's part, however it absolutely has not been talked to death. @@PickYourPoison notice how in all the episodes where a dark side is first introduced the opposite always gets pushed away morality a.k.a. Patton isn’t there Remus hits Roman on the head I wonder how wrath is going to somehow get rid of Logan
I like to put quotes around “dark sides” and “light sides” since it’s just a matter of how Thomas views that side as Remus said in his song “good and bad all made up nonsense” !
@@kingofchaos5672 Ooh, one popular theory I’ve seen is that Rage will speak through Logan, and honestly I think that’s a cool way to do it. But it wouldn’t really be getting rid of him, maybe he would blind Logan causing him to retreat for the episode?
One of the ideas that I had was that rather than the dark sides being opposites of the light sides, they are the flipped side of the same coin. Remus and Roman both deal with creativity, but they are different types. Patton and Janus are both dealing with morality and are both dealing with protective Thomas from emotions ( Patton buries his sadness and Janus hides them with lies ). Virgil is the other side of Logan, who is always working on planning and keeping Thomas going, and Viral is a sort of vigilance and deals with caution ( he is also very grounded but always very stressed, which comes from over planning ) Orange, in my eyes, would be the other side of Thomas himself This was before this video,
this makes more sense on why Deciet would be Pattons opposite but given what they represent doesnt make sense however orange being Immorality or Hate would be new
I thought Apathy because of the part of SvS Redux where Patton claimed apathy to be "worse" than selfishness. Going off the idea that the "bad traits" are escalating. This theory is very nice though, sound logic and I think you could be right.
I see the orange side as like Virgil dark/light side which i call "breaker" for some reason, and i see him as "Confidence" Bc confidence is sometimes bad and sometimes nice,Confidence by being thinking your better and confidence by standing up for someone or your self And the name is think it will be also "us" or possibility "il" if Virgilous is not Virgil full name, Ppl say Virgilous is Virgil full name, But my opinion is only Virgil, so my opinion the light side's name will end as "il", But the question is what name ends with "il" and will it be still part of the like Roman Revelution or somethimg like that
Virgil is likely the neural side that Thomas has confirmed, however you’re correct about confidence having good/bad aspects. Roman is already confidence/Thomas’ ego as has been said in more than one episode, but all of the light sides have some part of them that is bad and all the dark sides have some part about them that is good. For example, Janus is also self-preservation. Thomas confirmed in a livestream that Virgilius IS NOT Virgil’s full name, so you’re right about that, however Virgil is probably the neutral side, so it’s name will probably end in -US for that reason.
i suppose, but he has confirmed that there will be seven sides and that one of them is neutral. I suppose the neutral side could be logan but only virgil has been both dark and light.
I think that Logan's opposite side would be the scariest because so far Logan has been able to handle deceit and Remus so I would like to see how he would handle his opposite side
Also i see Deceit as Logan's dark vers. Bc Logan is logic, and as i learn from school, Logic means the truths, While deceit as thw lies I see virgil as patton dark vers bc Patton is all positive and Virgil as negative but there's a posibility the orange side can be Patton's dark vers, Or maybe there will be another side maybe "pink" "endigo" or something else as to be patton's dark vers(And yes ik the thumbnail only have 7 side box selection thing) While Virgil dark/opposite vers is the orange side
Our theory is that the sides have a double opposition, or two sides that oppose them. To use your example, Deceit mostly opposes moral truth, or Patton, however it can also oppose logical truth, or Logan. It doesn’t really effect creativity, or Roman. Virgil is neutral, so he opposes EVERY side in some way, both dark and light. Thomas is pink and Logan is indigo already, so it’s definitely only orange remaining, and it probably opposes MAINLY Logan, but also Roman. This means it has little affect on Patton, as anger doesn’t change one’s moral stance in most cases.
Deciet would most likely be Logans opposite while patton being virgils opposite doesnt make much sense so the orange would be something like HATRED or RAGE.
@@jamescarmody5653Lies and Decieving is not the opposite of logical thinking decievness is the opposite of morality and anxiety is not the opposite of morality anxiety doesnt have a opposite either your anxicous or your not thats it so logics opposite has to be not seeing things at face value or rather not thinking straight ahead
Honestly, I really hope that Logan and Rage are the same person in the same body, I think I'd be neat and much harder to reason with since they wouldn't have logic on their side
I’ve seen a bunch of theories on that and honestly would love to see it. That would make the episodes much more dramatic. Logan has been completely integral in every issue before so I’d be interested to see what they’d do without him.
I’ll be honest, at first I wasn’t sold on the whole rage thing, but now I really think you’re right. It makes a lot of sense, and unless everyone is overlooking something huge, I cannot think of any other answer.
I'd say he's either Thomas's frustration because logan got orange eyes when he got angry and I dont don't remember any of the sides representing feelings like anger
@@stranguhh2878 that makes sense since the same kinda happend with Remus and Deciet so ..... how bad is this one since they are getting worst and worst so this cannot be good
This is amazing! I am very impressed by both your research and your convincing argument. I was also impressed by how you both showed your evidence on why the other theories could be disproven. It was a very enjoyable and entertaining video, thanks!
Yeah I agree that the orange side does have to do with sloth considering they keep mentioning procrastination. Also, on tumble I saw that the orange side could be representation of a rebellious student that's "cool" but deeply insecure.
Does that mean Virgil’s opposite is trust? Are we going to have a trust side? Since trust is opposite of anxiety Edit: everyone thinks that orange is jealousy
no, virgil probably won’t have an opposite. Thomas confirmed there will be seven sides and one will stay neutral. Jealously is almost anger than someone has something you don’t, so that still factors in
Based off of your point about how rage has not been said in the series, do you think that Virgil's "other" side's name was paranoia? I remember that sticking out to me in the newest video and I think it can stick with the over vigilance that anxiety can cause? Great video!! I'm excited to see if he really is rage! You guys make really great points!
absolutely, it’s been almost said several times without ever actually being said. Roman said para- and then stopped himself and made up a word instead. Thank you!!
@@PickYourPoison IKR!! Like also how logan was like: "Ur just being para- (with everyone looking at him) expressing an unhealthy amount of concern, thank u for being on guard..." maybe it triggers virgil into thinking the others still see him as a dark side?
OKAY OKAY 👏 This is copy pasted from reddit posts I made Ok ok, just hear me out. This was mostly copied and pasted from texts between me and my other fander friend ------- the first 2-parter and room we saw was all about Virgil’s character arc. The second was Patton’s. The next one will be Roman’s, and the 4th will be Logan’s. When people were talking about the 4th “orange” dark side, I didn’t think he actually existed. 3 lights and 3 darks made sense. So when it was revealed that he exists I was kind of pissed because I felt like it threw off the balance. But then I thought about it…If you haven’t heard of the whole “blue crayon” theory, basically there was a promotional poster portraying the sides as colored crayons: red, light blue, dark blue, and purple. Now, I’ve never seen this poster myself and I’m going to look it up, but allegedly in this poster the dark blue crayon was broken. This has led to theories that Logan is going to snap. Then, I saw an animatic where an animator was basically portraying their theory that Logan IS the orange side, and I agree. Logan’s going to snap during his character arc, and it’s going to turn him into a dark side. After all, orange is the opposite of blue… “But like what would the opposite of logan be?” Common theory is ignorance. This actually still makes sense if Logan is the orange side, because his motive would most likely be to be the only one in charge. Ignorance stems from people having their own logic and not listening to anyone else, let alone their own morals, vigilance, etc blah blah blah… Notice how Logan starts off(in the first episode) all cheery, and as the series progresses, he gets more and more…well, Logan. I wonder why that happened 🤔 I think it’s just leading up to o r a n g e b o i It’s kind of sad, actually. At first he’s portrayed as a friendly teacher dude(Thomas even calls him teacher dude in Logic vs. Morality I’m pretty sure) who just wants Thomas to learn and enjoy it. But as Thomas’ mental health worsens, so does Logan’s. He starts to lose his emotions and denies he ever had them in the first place, maybe to convince Thomas and the others that he’s not scared or miserable about everything going on in Thomas’ life. “I’m sorry but imma laugh if this doesn’t happen-” IMMA LAUGH HYSTERICALLY OUT OF ANGER AND THEN CRY IF THIS DOESNT HAPPEN ------- Basically, Logan’s gonna break/be pushed over the edge somehow, and it’s gonna cause him to try and take over Thomas’ mind because he doesn’t want anyone’s getting in his way. And as anxiety became vigilance, logic will become ignorance. No but fr imma be so mad if this doesn’t happen and it prolly won’t- AND T H E N i was listening to Logan’s playlist and… “Erase Me” (i realized after making this post that the animatic i saw was of erase me so liiiiike) This song heavily implies that Logan is angry and resentful at the others(my first assumption being specifically Thomas, idk why) for ignoring him. It sounds almost chaotic. The singer sounds almost like they’re screaming. I see this song as the thoughts Logan has about the way the others treat him, that he keeps locked in his head. I can see this as him finally snapping…very soon(at least as soon as next season, as we’re still in Roman’s arc.). Also, some of the songs on this playlist sound like they belong in Remus’ playlist. Remus is the only Dark Side left. Is this a sign that Logan will join him? P e r h a p s…
okay, yes, that is a lot of good points. The problem is that the flaws that all of the other sides have coincide with a dark side. Patton has no empathy, and Roman is egoism/confidence. It would make plenty of sense if Logan opposed rage without technically being rage. There of course is a seventh side, because Thomas has confirmed that there will be three dark, three light, and a neutral. Now despite Janus being ‘accepted’, the pretenses under which he was excepted throws off the balance of the sides, and therefore the balance of thomas. He was accepted under false pretenses where patton was almost forced to give up and accept him. He is not a light side, just as virgil is not a light side. Light sides aren’t who Thomas trusts, they’re who lead him on the path of being a good person. Virgil doesn’t affect this path at all, because one’s anxiety doesn’t 100% factor in to whether they are inherently good or bad. That’s why he has to be the neutral side. Janus is still a dark side because despite his acceptance, he still wants thomas to focus on self preservation by any means necessary, even if he has to hurt others to do so. Of course Logan is angry, but that doesn’t necessarily make him the new side.
most of the situations are actually made up, believe it or not. It probably started as a way to vent until Joan stepped in and helped with the plot line to make it a series though
My really really really out there theory: virgil is the fight or flight response while his counterpart is the rest and digest response( parasympathetic and sympathetic system of the human nervous system) i know it's dumb
1) This was so well written and the fact that you two did research to support your points is super cool. I don’t have the energy and time to do that, even if I want to. 2) The ending was super funny. (Because my sense of humor is dead)
@@PickYourPoison Yeah that would ruin a lot of people’s efforts Including yours... But to be fair, when speculating about that hooded figure in POF, no one said "It's a homeless Leslie Odom Jr., you guys"
Seeing other fans talk about how Orange could be Rage had me a touch dubious but your theory of it being like the combination of wrath and sloth as soon in the Divine Comedy fits in SO well with the Sanders Sides narrative, repression has been a recurring theme and repressed anger could 100% be a thing to be brought up, especially with the animosity stirring up between some of the Sides right now. Consider me very much on board with this theory.
I personally don’t think the “each side having an opposite” is true because it is literally canon that Roman and Remus used to be the same side and they were split apart because of Thomas putting good creativity and bad creativity on different standards so they could not be made as opposites and there is no way Roman and Remus can be neutral because they literally represent good and bad also Janus joined the light side in the most recent episode so what does that technically make him neutral and on a sidenote isn’t it just Janus power to control people?
well yeah, theories aren’t perfect, but we have been getting a lot of comments asking us to clarify that so we’re going to. Of course it doesn’t mean we’re right but it’ll be out there. Thanks for your input!
Oh I also forgot to say in the first episode the word anxiety was used so it isn’t that much of a far stretch to think that it is just deceits power to do that so I don’t think we should rule out other things like for example insanity I am pretty positive that word has been used before
In the lates sides video about thomas dealing with intrusive thoughts you can see logans eyes turn orange when he get angry at remus and you can see that thomas home is very messy wich relates back to thomas realizing his sin just like you said
Considering the Sander side that came out on the 7/31 im going to say you were spot on. I'm thinking that either Logan may have a split personality where he is "physically" both a Light & Dark side but can only mentally be one at a time. Actually using the example of the Wrathful and the Sullen, i would say Logan maybe the Sullen side and "drowns" himself in logic and facts. When ignored he becomes Wrathful and attacks others without actually thinking.
OMG I believe this might actually be correct, at the time of this comment a new sanders asides video has come out "Working THROUGH Intrusive Thoughts" *SPOILER ALERT* and in it we see Logan trying to help Thomas work through his intrusive thoughts caused by Remus and at 22:06* as Remus ignores Logan in a blind fit of rage Logan shouts out Remus to stop ignoring him and as he does his eyes turn ORANGE more proof that the orange side is Rage!!!
If you're interested, we have actually made a video on Working Through Intrusive Thoughts where we compare it to this video!!! Thanks for the support!!!
WOW IM HERE AFTER WATCHING THE LATEST SANDERS ASIDES VIDEO AND THIS THEORY IS JUST ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT?? I THINK YOU GETS ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY MY MIND IS BLOWN???I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS FROM OVER A YEAR AGO the little "43770" hello in orange was such a small piece of evidence that i would've never picked up on...that's so cool omgg im not super deep into this fandom but woah this was a great theory it's crazy how right you were/are going to be AND AAAAAAAAAA I CANT WAIT FOR A NEW SANDERS SIDES VIDEOOOO
what if orange represented curiosity because rage is more of an emotion and curiosity sounds like the opposite of logan. like they say, "curiosity killed the cat" wich might be why this side is unknown.
Logan has been described as curious himself though. But then again, roman and remus are both creativity so maybe the orange side could be the "dark" side of curiousity
you know, there are theories that are just, out there, and than there is this. it makes so much sense, it is so well researched, and the newest video fits perfectly into the pattern you discovered with Logan's rage at being ignored!
I love this theory and it's really put out! and it sorta fuels my own theory on the orange side with a lot of your evidence, it's strange but still! Great theory
I HIGHLY agree! I noticed some of that from the SvS video and it always makes me so happy when other people talk about it!!! The blinding rage was sooo cool though, and the connection with Dante’s Inferno!
Gonna combat a point brought against this theory, yeah, Patton is not only positive emotions, he also represents more negative emotions, like sorrow. BUT, from what I’ve seen, he doesn’t cover anger. Patton may get frustrated, but he doesn’t usually burst out in anger. Honestly, I don’t remember him bursting out at all, he shows mildly strong anger, but never a full fit of rage. The other sides also only react in anger because of something else. They don’t represent anger themselves. Therefore, this theory still stands.
I was at the point where the quote “Because i was one of them” was and i tried saying it along then when virgil said “because i was one of them” i died of laughter. I have officially lost my sanity
What if Orange is Impulsive? Logic is the opposite of Impulsive, so that would make sense. Logan got fed up with Janus in the last video and ‘impulsively’ lashed out. I could be wrong, idk
My first guess was spit which I thought of around the time the original selfishness vs selflessness came out because of the "who did you think was impersonating you" like since when angered its possible to justify anything with enough arguing.
every time I see amazing theories like this it makes me wonder if (in this case Thomas) has seen it and is just thinking "oh shit they figured it out" other than that i like to think that we'll be introduced to rage after a long hiatus or smthn just to emphasise sloth and it could be something like Logan being angry that Thomas is extremely behind schedule to the point that his rage appears because of Logan. Ooo itd be even bigger of a plot twist if a different side ended up "releasing" rage and th story arch turning into rages surprise of it not being logan!
This is great! Your legit making sense of the tangled web of the canon! Logan's opposite doing rage or blinding rage makes complete sense with Logan's constant outbursts, his feeling of wanting and needing to be heard turns into him bottling up his feelings of rage then the bottle exploding and ending with Logan hurting the sides feeling. (I'm pretty much just saying what you said :^) I want to come back to Virgil though, yes the color purple doesn't have a complementary pair but there is a certain shade that matches Virgil, gray for paranoia. I remember then scene in (can't think of the episode) where Logan is about to tell Virgil to stop being paranoid. But before he does he stops himself and him and Virgil share a weird look with each other. Along with that gray isn't even part of the color wheel so this would technically go against the rainbow theory. I could very well be missing something important though.
No one really knows, but our theory is that when Virgil considered himself a dark side, he was paranoia, thus why it would be a sensitive subject for him since he doesn't want to be dark. Since he was introduced in black and didn't become purple until later, it's possible that black/gray were his dark side colors.
I see the orange side as a very powerful side a feeling that can muffle all the others which I think anger would be a good option since it can make you see things different
Am I the only one who thinks Remus is Logan's opposite rather than Roman's, and Virgil is Roman's? Remus literally defies logic (he even says so himself), while Roman does mention in accepting anxiety that the only thing standing in the way of his hopes and dreams is fear.
OHH MY GOSH!!!! I got this recommended to me after I watched the newest episode and I thought "wow that's really fast for someone to make a theory"- but this was from a year ago 😭✌ This is CRAZY because it completely makes sense- and the next Sanders Sides episode is the season final so I'm excited and scared to see what'll happen 😭 Amazing job with this video too!!!
With the new video that came out, Rage definitely feels like a possibility especially when you think about how Thomas actually presents himself, a happy positive person Anger would be a big disruption to him as a person, and when Logan said stop ignoring me it was while Thomas was looking at the messages and he was getting more and more irritated the longer they went unansweredred
I was thinking of the same thing! Maybe its my undying love for Logan, i dont know, but nonetheless this video is amazing and your points are explained beautifully.
This was so good! How do you not have more subscribers. I never thought of Rage as the orange side before but this makes total sense. And the research was amazing! Definetly a sub from me!
I believe that the orange side is the opposite of Roman even though Roman and Remus are "good and bad creativity" Remus has no reason or rhyme which is the complete opposite of Logan who is logical. Rage also works completely against creativity due to the fact that the angrier you get the more you lose your grove. As a person who has anger issues and is an actor and artis it's a huge road block because when you do something wrong the angrier you become the more you mess up. I agree with the theory the orange side is range he is just the foil of someone else.
Also as we see in Thomas's video on originality the more angry or frustrated Roman became the more obvious the "copying" became meaning his anger was working against him.
you’re right about all of that. we can’t say for sure which one rage foils, so we picked Logan, however we think each of the dark sides foils two light sides to a degree. Janus foils both Patton and Logan, Remus foils both Roman and Patton, and Rage would foil both Logan and Roman
Yeah this makes a crap-ton of sense. I bet a lot of viewers including myself could benefit from episodes on coping with rage as well, _especially_ since there's so much to be angry about in the world that needs actual planning to fix. Good video!
I’ve kind of always assumed the orange one would be the leader for some reason with Janus as the vengeful henchman, using his self preservation side to fight to stay in ‘power’. Remus literally dresses as a sort of jester prince mix, so I kind of assume the costume for orange will be simple, but still powerful looking. I also think instead of hiding as a side (Janus), or taking out an already risen side (Remus) he will instead block someone from popping up or drag the other sides down to his realm so that he’s at his most powerful. I also sort of think that the orange side will be drawn from the beliefs Thomas grew up on. As logic is inner decision and ideas, the orange one would be outside influenced or peer pressure. Possibly even gaslighting or something.

Thomas confirmed in a livestream that Virgilius IS NOT Virgil’s full name, so you’re right about that, however Virgil is probably the neutral side, so it’s name will probably end in -US for that reason.
Confidence is probaly Remus since he hides nothing.
@@jamescarmody5653 that's true he has no filter
I think your theory has been confirmed in the latest Sander sides. I don't want to spoil anything so I recommend going to watch it.
We’ve already watched it and started a theory on it. We’ll be posting the reaction within a couple days and the theory really shortly after :)
@@PickYourPoison Okay and can't wait to see it.
well Virgils counterpart could be "sleep" which is seen in thomas's vines
i suppose, but he has confirmed that there will be seven sides and that one of them is neutral. I suppose the neutral side could be logan but only virgil has been both dark and light.
@@PickYourPoison yea, I think it's Virgil because he's been on light and dark sides. But Logan could be as well now that I think ab it!
I'm pretty sure that Thomas confirmed that sleep would not be a part of Sanders Sides!

In other words:
Watch out thomas, A storm's coming.
“If the orange side was ignorance he would quite literally be an idiot” 😂
I think that Logan's opposite side would be the scariest because so far Logan has been able to handle deceit and Remus so I would like to see how he would handle his opposite side
yeah, I'm super excited about it
Also i see Deceit as Logan's dark vers.
Bc Logan is logic, and as i learn from school, Logic means the truths, While deceit as thw lies
I see virgil as patton dark vers bc Patton is all positive and Virgil as negative but there's a posibility the orange side can be Patton's dark vers, Or maybe there will be another side maybe "pink" "endigo" or something else as to be patton's dark vers(And yes ik the thumbnail only have 7 side box selection thing)
While Virgil dark/opposite vers is the orange side
Thats not always true
Logic isnt always truth logic is seeing things at face value and accepting that its like that because it makes logical sense
Deciet would most likely be Logans opposite while patton being virgils opposite doesnt make much sense so the orange would be something like HATRED or RAGE.
@@jamescarmody5653Lies and Decieving is not the opposite of logical thinking decievness is the opposite of morality
and anxiety is not the opposite of morality anxiety doesnt have a opposite either your anxicous or your not thats it
so logics opposite has to be not seeing things at face value or rather not thinking straight ahead
Wait, u learn from school?
You really portray facts well while also being able to deliver it in a speedy way. I am truly impressed, you have a real gift.
thank you sm!
I'd say he's either Thomas's frustration because logan got orange eyes when he got angry and I dont don't remember any of the sides representing feelings like anger
Not gonna lie, I am TERRIFIED TO MEET THE ORANGE SIDE!!!

Since trust is opposite of anxiety
Edit: everyone thinks that orange is jealousy
no, virgil probably won’t have an opposite. Thomas confirmed there will be seven sides and one will stay neutral. Jealously is almost anger than someone has something you don’t, so that still factors in
OK I LOVE THIS?? THANK U FOR THIS THEORY AAA
Coming here after “Working Through Intrusive Thoughts” is pretty eye opening and just, Congrats. I think you’re probably right on
Based off of your point about how rage has not been said in the series, do you think that Virgil's "other" side's name was paranoia? I remember that sticking out to me in the newest video and I think it can stick with the over vigilance that anxiety can cause?
Great video!! I'm excited to see if he really is rage! You guys make really great points!
absolutely, it’s been almost said several times without ever actually being said. Roman said para- and then stopped himself and made up a word instead. Thank you!!

Ok ok, just hear me out.
This was mostly copied and pasted from texts between me and my other fander friend
-------
the first 2-parter and room we saw was all about Virgil’s character arc.
After all, orange is the opposite of blue…
“But like what would the opposite of logan be?”
Common theory is ignorance.
This actually still makes sense if Logan is the orange side, because his motive would most likely be to be the only one in charge. Ignorance stems from people having their own logic and not listening to anyone else, let alone their own morals, vigilance, etc
blah blah blah…
Notice how Logan starts off(in the first episode) all cheery, and as the series progresses, he gets more and more…well, Logan.
I wonder why that happened 🤔
I think it’s just leading up to o r a n g e b o i
It’s kind of sad, actually.
“I’m sorry but imma laugh if this doesn’t happen-”
IMMA LAUGH HYSTERICALLY OUT OF ANGER AND THEN CRY IF THIS DOESNT HAPPEN
-------
Basically, Logan’s gonna break/be pushed over the edge somehow, and it’s gonna cause him to try and take over Thomas’ mind because he doesn’t want anyone’s getting in his way. And as anxiety became vigilance, logic will become ignorance.
No but fr imma be so mad if this doesn’t happen and it prolly won’t-
AND T H E N i was listening to Logan’s playlist and…
“Erase Me”
(i realized after making this post that the animatic i saw was of erase me so liiiiike)
This song heavily implies that Logan is angry and resentful at the others(my first assumption being specifically Thomas, idk why) for ignoring him.
I love how everyone is coming back now that the new Sanders Asides has given us more information on the Orange Side
Yes I’ve been saying this and I’m glad someone else does aswell, I also loved how you compared it to Divine comedy.

most of the situations are actually made up, believe it or not. It probably started as a way to vent until Joan stepped in and helped with the plot line to make it a series though

My really really really out there theory: virgil is the fight or flight response while his counterpart is the rest and digest response( parasympathetic and sympathetic system of the human nervous system) i know it's dumb
that’s not dumb at all actually. If he did have a counterpart, sloth would be sensible.

We’re so glad u enjoyed! We just feel like Thomas would much more likely chose a multilayered representation
I personally don’t think the “each side having an opposite” is true because it is literally canon that Roman and Remus used to be the same side and they were split apart because of Thomas putting good creativity and bad creativity on different standards so they could not be made as opposites and there is no way Roman and Remus can be neutral because they literally represent good and bad also Janus joined the light side in the most recent episode so what does that technically make him neutral and on a sidenote isn’t it just Janus power to control people?
we have a video coming out in about a week that is going to further explain what we mean by that, but i do see your point.
• PickYourPoison • oh ok! Thanks for being kind about it!
well yeah, theories aren’t perfect, but we have been getting a lot of comments asking us to clarify that so we’re going to. Of course it doesn’t mean we’re right but it’ll be out there. Thanks for your input!
Oh I also forgot to say in the first episode the word anxiety was used so it isn’t that much of a far stretch to think that it is just deceits power to do that so I don’t think we should rule out other things like for example insanity I am pretty positive that word has been used before
youre right, but if our theories are correct, we can assume that at that point Virgil was paranoia, and not anxiety
I.... LOVE THIS VIDEO! You both did SUCH good work with your research! Honestly im really impressed.
I think he represents False Bargaining.
The newest episode proves this even more. Logan's eyes turned orange when he snapped at Remus.
All I can say is that they put so much effort into the Sander Sides
OMG I believe this might actually be correct, at the time of this comment a new sanders asides video has come out "Working THROUGH Intrusive Thoughts" *SPOILER ALERT* and in it we see Logan trying to help Thomas work through his intrusive thoughts caused by Remus and at 22:06* as Remus ignores Logan in a blind fit of rage Logan shouts out Remus to stop ignoring him and as he does his eyes turn ORANGE more proof that the orange side is Rage!!!
The end of the Sanders Aside "Working Through Intrusive Thoughts" only proves this theory further. You may have nailed it y'all

what if orange represented curiosity because rage is more of an emotion and curiosity sounds like the opposite of logan. like they say, "curiosity killed the cat" wich might be why this side is unknown.
Logan has been described as curious himself though. But then again, roman and remus are both creativity so maybe the orange side could be the "dark" side of curiousity

Ay nice a heart
PREDICTION ON POINT SO FAR
I was at the point where the quote “Because i was one of them” was and i tried saying it along then when virgil said “because i was one of them” i died of laughter. I have officially lost my sanity
This was one of my many theories about what orange could be, good job!!
You know, this makes a lot of sense, I really hope Thomas sees this.
Keep up the good work guys!
If Thomas has seen our videos we are in the worst timeline. Also I definitely would like to see some more emphasis on the sloth side of rage!
Imagine if Oranges name is Dante. I would like it.
Or maybe Aquiles, cause guess what is the first sentence in the Iliad. Rage
Aquiles would also fit the pattern of Remus and Janus ‘s names ending with ‘us’
This is great!
(I'm pretty much just saying what you said :^)
I want to come back to Virgil though, yes the color purple doesn't have a complementary pair but there is a certain shade that matches Virgil, gray for paranoia.
We actually just posted a video a couple of weeks ago that dives into the sides and their opposites that you should check out!

With the new video that came out, Rage definitely feels like a possibility
especially when you think about how Thomas actually presents himself, a happy positive person
Anger would be a big disruption to him as a person, and when Logan said stop ignoring me it was while Thomas was looking at the messages and he was getting more and more irritated the longer they went unansweredred

Definetly a sub from me!
thank you so much! Glad you liked the video!
@@PickYourPoison Actually I noticed that the dark sides foiled 2 light sides it's really cool that you noticed as well.
It is so gonna be Rage, in the newest video Logan’s eyes turned orange when he raged!
Yeah this makes a crap-ton of sense. I bet a lot of viewers including myself could benefit from episodes on coping with rage as well, _especially_ since there's so much to be angry about in the world that needs actual planning to fix. Good video!
This is what I've been thinking! Thomas has also been getting increasingly angrier throughout the series. The other sides have been too.
Coming back to this after the newest Sanders Asides...
"Stop, IGNORING ME"
