    What camera and lens did you use for the 2nd image, the young lady? That image looked flawless, painterly and just beautiful for straight out of camera.

      Canon 5D Mk IV . 70-200 2.8 EF L series, which have almost nothing to do with the soft look. It's all in the lighting. You can get the same beauty out of a Yashica Mat with film or a consumer level DSLR. The quality is in the light; the ratio, the diffusion (size) the direction, the feather and invisible shadow relief (never a "fill").
