him: pauses to sip.
also him: doesn't sip.
( love when he does that :D)
All of the Peterson's videos are helpful, almost half of them are unintentional Coke commercials.
WTF! 😂😂
Make that Diet Coke. Jordan is one tough bad ass to stomach that crap.
@@laserleftfootttt7683 I doubt that he drinks coke anymore
@@laserleftfootttt7683 What's wrong with Diet Coke you uncultured swine?
@@darthsalad6211 its backed by a commercial entity that doesn't give 2 shits about your wellbeing
Jordan "now jung was very interested in this" Peterson
i laughed way too hard at this ...thank you for the laughs
@@raghadxx7395 you posting this made me resee this comment again I've completely forgot I did and I had to lol at my own joke 😂
This was really funny! 😂😂 Thank you!
One thing I love about Jordan is that he understand his knowledge comes from others.
I thought that's just something we do with Joe Rogans name. 😜
This video automatically attracted my attention.
Kevin Mohr majestically phrased
because it matters.
All these videos end as soon as they get interesting.
Ah, that exquisite dance on the blurred line between psychology and spirituality.
nicely said :)
caveymoley Huge chunk of psychology is coming from philosophy and spirituality. Only part of it is mechanistic and scientifically reductionist. Freud for example built his psychoanalysis on Greek Biblical mythology and the Jungian archetypal psycgology derived from that. And these mythologies quite precisely describe our psyche through allegories.
Psychology branched out of philosophy and it is a combination of hard sciences, social sciences and art.
Omgosh yes ❤😭
*Mystery is an attractive phenomenon.*
Next lecture: how many sips of Coke Zero in 9 minutes qualifies diet cola as a gateway drug.
westwass im alittle sad because i'd watch it
Listening to him talk makes me feel good.
I was expecting this to be like, “and this is why you like butts,” but this is good too I suppose
im not alone with that butt thing then
Murfitizer 😂😂😂😂😂
big fat squishy shiny juicy butts. as opposed to, their giant keen brains or deep sensitive hearts. or superior taste in movies and music
p.s. i think the butts fascination is either a joke played on us by nature, or a message/warning to not take erotic attraction too seriously. don't put up with anyone's &^#*&% just, or primarily, because of the size and shape of what it comes out of
@Graig Simmonette yeah but what's the DEEPER why. why aren't, say, elbows instead such strong signals of reproductive complementarity?
Utterly fascinating work
I watched this twice, then had to go back to the original video/lecture (thanks for the link, btw) and watch that twice. I'm about half way through about a year's worth of JBP videos at the moment.
cmonkey63 Hello, if possible could you tell me where you found the link ?
Great video
I love this man
I love these videos
Good video!
The amount of tension when he brings the can to his mouth but doesn’t drink it, lol. He did this in his live talk too, he’d bring his water to his mouth, hold it there for a second, then start with another sentence before even sipping the water.
Aaah, The Reverse Pavlov move.
I have Low Latent Inhibition (LLI) and what Peterson explains @4:09 and onward, I experience just that. My memory is beyond photographic. When the brain acts as a uncontrolled sponge to literally all that is stimuli, your mind can go nuts. For years on end I had to find a way to control that without using Ritalin, weed or any drugs but damn it can be a struggle from time to time.
Wow very interesting
agreed highly ,Terry holland
Spot-on
You think it matters, therefore it does and you perceive it as so.
It's like a state of precognition. Your brain works based on your preconceived ideas to make the world seem the way you want it to be and as it fools itself with this time saver it also is surprised when it learns how wrong you were,
You're driving and want to turn left in front of traffic ... you look to see if it is clear and then turn when it is safe to do so, but sometimes your brain just thinks it's clear and suddenly a car that is there isn't seen until too late and it just seems to come out of nowhere right before the crash.
Or you buy a silver Mercedes thinking you will be the only one in your neighborhood with that car and suddenly you notice just how many their are around you because suddenly once you own one that car matters to you.
Or that good looking person in class who you were certain was flirting with you ... is just friendly and treats everyone that way ... You just didn't notice and thought you were special and had a shot at them ... Until their rebuke set your world straight
Mind over matter, make it so
William Blake quotes "The doors of perception" by the way...
We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are.
Correct again.
brilliant
Spiritually speaking, being "SELF"ish is ultimate. This world has reversed everything spiritual as taboos or immoral.
No, it's the opposite. This world has reversed the immoral to be moral and the moral to be selfish.
@@Molotov49 mentioning masturbation and alcoholism with murder is hilarious. Like you did some and now saying no it's immoral.
How can we find the rest of the lecture? Thanks
JP: your brain focuses on what's important and tunes the rest out
My ADD, staring at a poster behind my laptop:
Things are made out of what matters.
The drug example is so accurate. Weed tends to put you in the present.
Wait, What?
Yes weed highlights the otherwise mundane in our mind.
Hey big JP fan hoping to see you on tour in Southern California. I do have a question for the viewers and Mr. Peterson. Who would win in a fight between Dr. Peterson and Bill Nye. Thanks
Taylor Leipnik Peterson hands down. Without a gaggle of leftists to distract a target for another to sucker punch from the side, they can’t handle an aggressive opponent - especially one on one.
Imagine JP and a bunch of unsorted in lobster costumes vs Bill Nye and bunch of cringe feminists having a turf battle on a downtown street. XD
Who will win? If you ask the media it will be Bill Nye. If you ask CZcams it would be JP. Either way it would be fun to watch. Best bloodsports ever.
Are they using gloves or bare hands?
First two minutes were on point. I really hope he one day realizes that, what he was referring to there was what Jesus was largely talking about.
*The word you're referring to is "adapt."*
Thank you- so I want all of those lives of potential manifest reality of mine. I know I only get one, yet I’m oscillating in my heart-head while remaining here, because I know that, “there is but one life, and then the judgement.”
7:28 there is a fairy inside the can telling him what to do
hahahaha
It's how Johnny Depp does it.
Where can I see the full lecture of this?
I'm genuinely curious, why do you not get copyright strikes for Jordan Peterson's vids? Is it because you put links in the description about source material? Or Mr. Peterson simply doesn't care if his work gets duplicated on another channel?
I've wondered this too. I think it's the latter.
He may want this to be heard
I love you Jordan 🥰♥️
I look around in my home ..and its beautiful...I notice every damn thing and color cause I love it....I notice handsome clever and sexy men....I notice beauty ...I find JP attractive he has a handsome face..and the his intelligence .ooooh few men can follow him
Where is the rest of the lecture?

Oh, no! The messiah's imperfect! He's drinking coke! Someone tell Santa!

JK Rowling messed up so many times with her angry, ill-informed or badly-researched comments on social media (Trump & boy in wheelchair, or PewDiePie, for example). Is a person still intelligent if their anger/ego/impulsiveness make them post things that are wrong? Writing books involves deep research, multiple edits and proof reading by the writer and by others, whereas Rowling's Twitter posts are probably much closer to her true personality and intelligence.
ForViewingOnly JK Rowling is intelligent, that doesn’t mean she can’t post silly comments or express her ideas. Like what you want her to post her comments the same way she is writing one of her Harry Potter’s novels? Go fucken educated yourself please. Gosh
According to JP’s own view, he should be Rowling’s servant. I mean she only happens to be one of the wealthiest women in the world, by her own talent. Meritocracy at work.
Intelligence is different from wisdom. Just because you're smart (have a lot of brain power), doesn't mean you're wise.
ForViewingOnly that's a very Zizekian point, as he argued that who we are online is a truer representation of ourselves. However, we should also take pains to make the distinction between being intelligent in a field or domain, and being a good person or having good ideas
It has been noted since at least Plato that artists have a curious access to great insight which they can show others, but seem largely incapable of embodying themselves.
I am having a hard time right now. I was playing bingo and lost $1000 because I didn't have the last number called. VERY depressed. Hate myself, am embarrassed. Part of me doesn't want to go back and the other part of me wants to go back. What should I do?
I’m convinced that people are subscribed to Peterson just so they can thumbs down his videos as soon as they are posted.
Steven Liddicoat nah that would take too much effort for those types
KazzArie
I dunno, man. People fucking HATE him.
Steven Liddicoat I never thought I would see the day I would start maturing (I’m 35 now). Nobody I know takes bill nye seriously anymore because he turned into a climate evangelist.
I gar-ren-tee it! That is how the Left operates.
I wouldn't be surprised, I know there's one subscriber who does that to me 😂 the lengths people go to seriously baffles me
Pay for college by taking Peterson classes. Film and post on CZcams.
You an observe a lot by watching.
I've approached 358 women. Every person has the potential to be different, the book is not always the book cover. Having success in getting dates.
Right b4 I watched this I said, "I need a break from Jordan Peterson," 😓
I need a Jordan Peterson VSauce cross over
It does matter, somebody uploaded my programme for me
does he plan his talks or does he just riff lol
so? what am I attracted to? did he answer the question? did I miss it?
I always end up drinking a coke zero when I watch these
as a non native english speaker I'm struggling to understand everything he says, my brain is cooked by now, I need to work a bit more on my English vocabulary to be able to understand everything he says properly.
His english is a very high level, you'll notice even in professional interviews, they often have to pause to really take time to think about what he said.
He's talking about the body's biological response to its stimulation from the outside world, and how it manifests our experiences as an individual human
Wooooooooooooah
Your attracted to every thing
We're attracted to the now, the moment. For example, you know when you're doing a very intense workout, like speed rope or pushing your body off the floor with exercises like explosive pushups and gum ball burpees, it gets the heart thumping, it doesn't matter one bit what's going on tomorrow, or in a week, even what's happened in the past. All that matters is that moment.
Dopamine's the best drug in the World, and it's free. Same goes for cold showers. It centres you because you have to just focus on your breathing in that moment. If you don't focus on your breathing, you'll only think about the cold, then you're fucked. You'll start shivering like a bitch and you may even feel a bit of shock.
Learn from the past, enjoy the present, give a shit about the future.
Huh?
Dr Peterson likes to get high on caffiene.
07:12 - he's wrong, isn't he? The snitch is worth 150 points, but if you're down loads you can lose the game despite catching it
Uborpriest Theoretically, I think you are right. But if your team has defended reasonably well that would not happen.
8:16 CocaCola Commercial
.... an anomoly (the unexpected) ....
I liked the video but think it's a bit inappropiate for this teacher to have a sandwich maker on his desk during a class.
2:00
If he'd be on Pepsi Max with ice and lemon he'd be God. But he's too modest to do so
he's always stretching definitions so that they fit into his over-generalized 'grand theories'. an 'anomaly' has nothing to do with 'incentive' on the part of the observer. replace 'want' with 'expects'
This is from way back when the man didn't know Diet Coke was keeping him from achieving his full potential.
A big booty.
666th like
I think he has a coke addiction.
Really? and your sources are???
the coke cans on his desk, lol
ha ha!! GOTCHA!! I'm an addict TOO!! (but not of that gross ASPARTAME!!)
Elke Summer he made a video where he said he used to have a drug probably actually. Watched it few months back.
sina yyy Not sure if you’re serious, but aspartame has been proven to be carcinogenic.
Power of jbp is diet coke
Can he stop filming himself? This is such a bad video. It looks like he loved to stare at himself talking. Narcissistic much?
Daniel your comment is just as useless as it was a year ago. Stupidity seems timeless which is profound
