Ulsan Hyundai - Hyundai Heavy Industries
Jeonbuk Hyundai - Hyundai Motor Group.
    The two teams
The operating entity is different. The derby between the two is famous for being very fierce.
And Daegu Incheon Gwangju Stadium is a new small stadium because of the too big World Cup Stadium. Incheon has even built a new Asian Games stadium, so there are two large stadiums that are rarely used

Yep. There are too many large stadiums that are not used very much. The stadiums that come to mind right now are Goyang Stadium, Yongin Mir Stadium, Hwaseong Stadium, Ulsan Stadium, Daegu, Gwangju, Incheon (2), Seoul Olympic Main Stadium There are no k1 k2 teams in the stadium of 35.000 to 60,000 people. especially, Seoul Olympic Main Stadium used more for concerts.. (Of course, some stadiums are used by K3 teams, but there are few spectators)

As someone who watches basketball and American football, it is cool to see how unique these football stadiums are on the other side of the world

I'm a K League fan, and now we have more fans showing up to the games since the world cup 2022. One of the best leagues in Asia for sure

For those interested, K-League 1 has very long highlights on CZcams, and a very good media coverage especially Twitter in English. Some teams and stadiums are interesting. I think they still need to improve the overall level, though. Decent league and interesting enough to watch at least once. Ps. Thanks for the video!😊😊

yeah.. Actually K-league is No. 2 in the official afc league rankings. (1st place Saudi) It is also the league with the most wins in the afc champions league..

In fact, the game in 2002 was too harsh a rumor for Korea. Compare the full video of the Korea vs itally match against the one edited on CZcams. Severe fouls and unfair judgments suffered by Korea disappeared from CZcams editing videos.
As a result, the 2002 rumor still follows Korea 20 years later. But I think every country had its home advantage. In 2002, Japan advanced to the round of 16 with an offside goal in the Russia game. But who remembers that? It's been more than 20 years, but people only swear at Korea. Because Korea has a small population compared to Japan and China (It was also these two countries' netizens who actively produced and spread the rumor), and many countries hate Korea's success.
With the exception of 2002(Or a home game), Korea has never had much advantage in judging. Rather, Korea is often judged unfavorably at international competitions. Because it is inferior in sponsorship and connection power compared to Japan and China. But people still only seem to remember 2002.

The comment about the cranes had me laughing way harder than it should have done...perhaps. The football specific stadiums are fantastic...the ones with tracks around them not so much.
edit I think the Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium is my favourite but there are a lot of good ones to chose from.

0:05 - Dae Han Min Guk (대한민국), as they call it themselves.
3:35 - I lived in Korea. Summer heat isn't as big an issue as the ridiculous humidity from the ocean. Rain is only a problem during fall's typhoon season.
4:40 - Japan's Okinawa is the Asian Hawai'i. Jeju's weather is more like the Isle of Wight. Good enough for summer, but it ain't beach and surf territory.
5:55 - You can tell it was built in 1990 by its appearance. It's functional but hardly a looker (like many post-war buildings, pre-World Cup). It was built around the same time as the Sampoong building (re: the 1995 Sampoong disaster).
7:50 - I've been to Hwaseong, it's a fun three hour slow walk around the castle walls. You walk on the parapet above the traffic going in and out, never have to cross a street. The buildings inside the castle are limited to four floors tall (unlike most Korean cities) so that any other part of the castle can be seen if you face inwards.
8:15 - You can tell by the picture that South Korea has real winters. It's usually not that cold (rarely worse than -10C) but the humidity makes it bitter.
9:30 - Oh yes, Sungnyemun gate, one of five in the city. Read up on the "2008 Namdaemun fire" when some attention seeking old man burnt it down for no good reason (he got ripped off on a private business deal, so he took it out on a historic site). What you see isn't the original, that's the rebuilt gate after the fire.

I used to live near the Gwangju World Cup Stadium (AKA Guus Hiddink Stadium). It's a nice stadium that has been wasted on some pretty crummy teams. Gwangju is more of a baseball town.

Don't take the drama too seriously. Rather, a country that really needs serious consideration is a society where both dramas and news are silent.

@@haejeegwon9774 a society where both dramas and news are silent." This is a brilliant idea! I had never thought of this. At least the news is silent. Does any country like that exist?

    • @haejeegwon9774
      @haejeegwon9774 Před rokem +6

@@neilwhitaker6284 There are more than people think. Most countries hide the dark side of their country. What's surprising about Korea is that they always criticize their country. Aren't all the most famous dramas, movies, and songs like that? Squid Game, Parasite, The Glory, and even Gangnam-style lyrics are in fact mocking K - materialism. In fact, however, Korea ranks in the top 3 most safest countries in Asia, and according to the OECD's school vi*lence report, Korea is among the safest countries compared to Europe and the United States.

    • @neilwhitaker6284

@@haejeegwon9774 OK I didn't really think of it like that because those movies I have never seen but I understand what you are saying. My impression of Korea was it was a clean, safe, prosperous and orderly nation but I have never been. In North America Koreans tend to assimilate well and work hard so my view of the nation is a positive one but then I am not like most people :)
