I recently installed the newly released BT Moto Stage1 flash for 18+ Goldwings... The tune has made a made a major improvement for the Wing's performance. Pretty much all of what you said the tune did for your GS, it did for my Wing. 👍
Great video and very thorough test and evaluation! I always wanted to get the BT MOTO tune for my K1600B when I had it but never did unfortunately. But I am glad you got it for Air Wolf :)

I have the same bike minus the upgraded exhaust. My bike hasn’t demonstrated the same mannerisms you noted. I’m pretty sure that I’d never “flash” it to improve it’s current level of function.
Have BT Stage 2 in my 2020 S1000RR M, big gains is an understatement. Now looking to do the same for my new 2023 1250GSA. Not really looking to make it faster because if I want to go fast I just jump on the RR. But the cold start issue on the GSA is not acceptable for a $34K bike. Do you know what's causing this cold start stall? Guessing it's not getting enough fuel. That shouldn't be a problem, especially in AZ. And it's a closed loop O2 system WTF..Awesome video, good quality and the Drone topped it off!
So no before and after dyno, no catless headers and no evidence of any performance improvements? I'm always looking for performance gains but from what i have seen, the most you'll get is 7 bhp and a little more torque by installing a catless exhaust and muffler at about £2.500. Would anyone notice the improvement over the the loss of weight in their wallet?
Im very curious what you describe about the idle issue you describe because I have had two R1200 GS here in EU (Sweden) and one thing that I immediately noticed with them compared to all my previous bikes, was that when I cold start my GS it just starts without making a high rev idle for maybe 30 seconds. It just starts and stays at the same low rpm at once (like a car engine) and that's something I love! I'm thinking it maybe is an adaptation to the US market and regulations? I see you are in New Jersey and we have quite strict emmision regulations in the EU, on the other hand I know for example California has one of the most strict car emission regulations in the world.... At the same time I wonder why other bikes seem to do that annoying high rev idle - is it maybe to get the engine warm faster? On the other hand it shouldn't begood for the engine to rev 2000 rpm when cold to get warm - it's kind of a contradiction 🤔🙄🫣
I think anything not done by the dealers would void warranty.... I did here that even putting lights on dose ..... there are few videos up of indicators voiding warranty... even though the dealers sels the same stuff ... its all got to be done by bmw to keep it in warranty
From what I understand there has been an increase in the rpm limit, it will not be accepted in lubrication as there will be more cylinder friction. Will it have to change the time between maintenance or oil quality?
I change the oil every three thousand miles either way but no time needed between changes according to the website. I just changed the oil and use synthetic, my video will be out shortly on what I use 🤙
Yes I have this tune on my 2020 R1250R and BT told me the tune keeps the exhaust valve open at all times which is a big reason it sounds so much better!
My dealer has a disclaimer on their service forms that they're not responsible for custom tunes. So if they update the software, it would be to latest factory specs, and then you'd have to reinstall your custom flash. Also, if something goes wrong, and they can trace it to the custom tune, no warranty...
@@FLYANDRIDE15 its hard to know if bmw are telling the truth but i would imagine they will have a way of telling if a map has been installed and could use that to reject a warranty claim

Excellent points you make. I will say that after the BT moto tune, it took away the high rev at start.

Not sure about UK but check out website. Hit or miss on warranty but likely impacted , haven’t tested it yet :)

I believe you can undo before you take it and then reflash after but would have to check with bt moto.
