When replacing this fuel pressure check valve install a length of fuel line to position the check valve to a more accessible location for future work . Also install a test gauge port fitting there .
Awesome recon. It works just like you said. And you can see what you'd doing while working. Just get new bolts to replace fender over tire. But the best way to do the job to me.
Take it apart and clean it; put new prints and put back together. Cost me .20 for the 2 o rings. You also need to clean that filter housing once a year and check/clean the tanks and lines.
This is a check valve or anti drain back you could say. But it also a fuel pressure regulator as well it maintains your pressure for the fuel system. They do come apart it’s like two valves in one. There are two different springs inside one is small it’s for very low pressure used just to hold fuel back when engine not running. The other is a bigger spring used for regulation of the fuel pressure. There are little o rings that seal off flow when no fuel flowing. The little o rings usually breaks. I have just replaced the o rings and they work fine. Just pay close attention to the way it’s comes apart it’s a three peace housing. By the way the fuel line that comes off that valve should run straight back to the fuel t fittings at top rear of transmission before splitting off to each fuel tank. IT SHOULD NOT run back to that fuel filter housing.
Thank you so much Jose. I m dealing with exact same issue now. This was a great video 👍 👌 👍 👌 👍. Also I m seeing air bubble in my water fuel separator. Do you think that also is a check valve issue? Where do I get an after market like the one you got? Thank you again so much for this great video
Thanks so much for your video I have a Coronado and I’ve been having chugging issues and I suspect that pressure regulator valve that you were showing in your video is my problem and I think I may be able to get to it a little bit easier because I might Toronado I don’t have to remove that fender to be able to squeeze back in there I’m just not sure I’ll be able to get back to do it if not I’ll have to pay somebody else but I think you’ve confirmed for me that is the part that’s gone bad thank you so much
no sir pressure regulator valve would not be this problem. the fuel check valve only work went turns your truck of . it would have pressure on the fuel line to trun your truck on
And also i read about a special barometric module chip that turns off the egr that might delete using the egr system called the ugly fix module.you anything about that too???..
yes that's one way to take off the egr but but the egr tube would get clogged up with time . so is quick fix go get you somewhere but with time you would to change all the egr system .
My truck feels like it’s lacking fuel or power around 1700-1800 rpm. RPMs are set to 2100 on the computer. New Air Cooler and Air hoses, turbo is good. Would a faulty check valve cause those issues?
Tee a fuel pressure test gauge into the fuel outlet port of the fuel pump . 20lbs. at idle , 65lbs. at 2100 RPM’s . line . 35lbs . fuel pressure at cylinder fuel return port . Lengthen test pump hose to read in cabin under full load .
Hey houstone you know anything about the egr valve actuater stystem?i got the same motor system 2004 detroit 60.i had a air leak in the egr actuator.i changed the actuator and messured the up&down rod as best i could and put it back together.the actuater looks like the one under your turbo but a little bigger..anyways after i put it together i get a split second hesitation when i excelerate.i press the gas ,split second pause and then it goes..i heard it needs specail computer calibration..i dont know if its true or not..what do you know???
my egr system is baypass I work off road. but yes the best way is by ecu system . done by scanner. you have get a scanner on to the ecu. and also and the foot accelerator you have part like valve call map sensor sometimes they go bad . but get a scanner first.
@@charlesbasher9686 my has a plate on it but the full system is on the truck. I work on the oil field south TX. just make sure you work off road to get done on your truck.
Hi Dude, Where did you buy aftermarket check valve. I have already replaced two valves brought from Freightliner in last 3 months. May i have website or contact information where i can buy aftermarket fuel regulator check valve. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for taking the time to show us O.O !
I've also gotten parts from Freightliner that have went bad within a couple months. It was the coolant sensor and oil pressure sensor.
Awesome recon. It works just like you said. And you can see what you'd doing while working. Just get new bolts to replace fender over tire. But the best way to do the job to me.

my father truck came like that with the fuel line attached to the bottom of filter canister
Where you find the little orings for the check valve?
Would you know what is the operating pressure of such valves

@@vicpetrishak7705 I figured out the problem. Air Cooler was leaking and so was the Air Compressor.
The part number for the check valve in his hand is 23535129
