- A favorite of Minnesotans! The famous Juicy Lucy! Mmmm. So good. You MUST use American cheese on this to achieve the juiciness in the middle! You can even sautee mushrooms and onions and put on them too!
FUN FACT: A Jucy Lucy or Juicy Lucy is a cheeseburger with cheese inside the meat instead of on top, resulting in a melted core of cheese. Two bars in Minneapolis claim to be the inventor of the burger, while other bars and restaurants have created their own interpretations of the style.
2 ½ pounds ground beef
2 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
Sliced Cheese (any kind I used swiss, and American cheddar
Hamburger Buns, split
Sliced Tomatoes
Pickles
Sliced Onion
Lettuce
Mayo
Mustard
1.Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings in a large bowl; mix well. Form 2 thin patties from the beef for each burger. Each patty should be slightly larger than a slice of cheese.
2. Cut each slice of American cheese into 4 equal pieces; stack the pieces(i used 2 slices of cheese per burger,cause we wanted it extra cheesy). Sandwich one stack of cheese between 2 ground beef patties. Tightly pinch edges together tightly seal the cheese within the meat. Repeat with the remaining cheese and patties.
3.Preheat a cast-iron or other heavy bottomed skillet over medium heat. Cook burgers until well browned, about 4 minutes. It is common for burgers to puff up due to steam from the melting cheese. Turn burgers and prick the top of each to allow steam to escape; cook until browned on the outside and no longer pink on the inside; about 4 minutes.
I did mine on my Ninja Foodi Grill! You can also grill on you charcoal grill or gas grill outside!
Serve on hamburger buns with all the topping you like.

These looked so good. I like to chop up cheese and cooked bacon and mix that into the patties and making sliders then putting them on Hawaiian King rolls with mayo and dill pickles! Yummy! 🤤

Just make it about 1/4 the size, skip the roll, and you can eat something like that for dinner (unless you're vegetarian I suppose). This kind of burger is great as a protein meal with veggies of all kinds along with. A skinny burger with an ounce of cheese inside, topped by another skinny burger sounds good to me anyway.

I use blue cheese and impossible meat !! I also use a flat griddle and grill mushrooms onions topped with beer!!! No bun use lettuce wraps !!! FN INCREDIBLE being vegan you can still have a juicy burger
