IRAN (is not the problem) is a feature length film responding to the failure of the American mass media to provide the public with relevant and accurate information about the standoff between the US and Iran, as happened before with the lead up to the invasion of Iraq.
We have heard that Iran is a nuclear menace in defiance of the international community, bent on "wiping Israel off the map", supporting terrorism, and unwilling to negotiate. This documentary disputes these claims as they are presented to us and puts them in the context of present and historical US imperialism and hypocrisy with respect to Iran.
It looks at the struggle for democracy inside Iran, the consequences of the current escalation and the potential US and/or Israeli attack, and suggests some alternatives to consider.
This 79 minute documentary features Antonia Juhasz (The Bu$h Agenda), Larry Everest (Oil, Power, and Empire), and other activists and Iranian-Americans. The DVD also contains a 20 minute preview version ideal for meetings. The goal of this movie is to promote dialog and change the debate on Iran, so please consider organizing a screening, big or small, in your area.
Produced by Aaron Newman, an independent film-maker and part of the Scary Cow film co-op in San Francisco. He is an anti-imperialism/pro-democracy activist, founder of the SF Chomsky Book Club, and a member of Hands Off Iran
There are differences of opinion between many of the voices in this film, but all agree that a war would be unjustified. Below are brief video introductions for each of the people who participated.
very nice video,hope this video dont got ban
there should be millions of view on this
There is a difference between supporting your country and ignoring the fact that the idiots in charge keep picking fights with people.
think about an Afghan child:
'All i want is peace, to live and to play and to have my family around me I do not want "heroes" who bring me destruction or try to save the "land". For is soil worth my family?"
@RadicallyHonest Well said.
As much as I agree with you, shouting is not necessary...
I didn't understand but from what I got he bashed them very quick and then said they were a rational Government. They don't like being exposed so it seems.
Capitalist at it best.I wonder what would happen to our gas price if the Middle East decided to embargo oil on the United State of America? Would it show up on our gas price because we're tapping on Reserve? What does the 4th part of Porter's five forces model tell us about bargaining power? Doesn't lies within the U.S or Iran? Is the U.S vertical integrating Iraq to defused that threat?
I wouldn't speak of bravery of Afghans if i escaped from Afghanistan and lived in NZ, and then call others "pussies". A different opinion does not make u any braver than those who share another opinions.
Now, before u get all emotional and irrational, do you think the people of Afghanistan enjoy all these wars? All the fights you do, do it for yourself. Don't claim that you are figthin for Afghanis. Because many of us do not want your fights.
American's central bank and the process of fractional reserve lending results in an ever expanding supply of fiat money, that will eventually inflate and destroy its value..........post WW2 America dropped the gold exchange standard and has used oil ever since as the sole resource to back the value of the dollar.......we need the oil to run our economy and need it to be traded in dollars.........a clever but very foolish and unwise practice in the long run......

@mandinko23 i bet you the only reason why this video doesn't have that many views is because americans don't want to face reality and blame everything on someone else...
