I just bought one of these. I believe I’m going to look into the wireless thermostat issue is that way I can make it a longer run with the fuel. I just bought a jug of 5 gallons of kerosene. It was $45 ridiculous. Good video by the way, straight to the point no fluff.
After doing alot of research on these kind of heaters after trouble shooting the one I have. I also run mine on diesel which has more btu than kerosene, and it's alot cheaper. And I found if you have a smaller 50,000 btu model, you have the same identical heater as an 75,000 or 80,000 model. The only difference is the size of the spray nozzle. I looked at my owner manual and according to the parts list, that is the only difference! You may have to adjust the pump pressure, but then you'd have on size better model!
Diesel has an energy density of 139,000 BTUs per gallon, kerosene is similar to that of diesel fuel; its lower heating value is 131,890 BTUs per gallon. The sticker on the back, is telling you the best fuel to use based on outside temperature. (basically what fuel not to use in cold temperatures) I like the temp switch.
I got Mr. Heater 140k btu, for my 2 car garage and it's Way overkill...Lol....but my garage is not insulated, so I want overkill.....But I can literally leave One of my garage doors Wide open, and it's comfortable in freezing weather.
Diesel fuel sold with no road tax onto the price, to be used off road for agriculture, etc. It is dyed red so law enforcement can tell if a truck is illegally running off road diesel.

Mines looks the same but says the 1 k kerosene for fuel type. Did they make them to only burn kerosene and not diesel?
