    Great scans, I know its a personal preference but I think you're pretty generous with your warmth and magentas... in some cases B were better, but at other instances I noticed an unrealistic magenta cast in the shadows. I think the issue with the lab scans is the extreme contrast. Maybe reread the scans and notice that at some points their cool tones are a bit more accurate than yours. But all in all, great work.

      For sure, I did plastic adjustments to my scans but would dial it in a bit more, I have been known to lean into warmth and magenta a bit more though haha

    The lab scans were with more detail. Good video

    What lens and camera are you using to scan? Your sl2? And? Do you use a ball head or just screw it in to the Mount?

    • @lukasvanderlende
      @lukasvanderlende  Před rokem

      I’ve changed a few things since filming this video. I use my SL2 with a Leica R 100 APO Macro lens with the 1:1 adapter. And I have the negative supply pro riser mk3 now and I screw the camera directly in

    Lukas, thanks for the video. What's your actual scanning equipment? I see you're using a Leica SL2 (or your SL2-S)?....I use the same. What lens are you using and are you using multishot? If so how's that working for you in terms of resolution. Cheers, Matt M....Las Vegas.

      Thank you! Yes I’m using my SL2 and I’ve been using a sigma 105 macro but just recently bought a Leica R 100 macro that I’m going to be using. I have the negative supply kit. I’m working on a video walking through my whole scanning set up since a few things have changed!

      @@lukasvanderlende Looking forward to the video. And I appreciate all of your video work. I know it's a lot to juggle to work (gotta get paid), find time to create, and edit videos. Cheers!!!!

    I'm pausing and answering after the first few images. Image "A"' is the lab scan. I would say Frontier. I personally like to colors of the lab scans.

      @lukasvanderlende  Před rokem

      You’re right, I do like the scans, I just feel like they were missing a lot of detail, specifically in the highlights!

    • @YoYoYo
      @YoYoYo Před rokem

      @@lukasvanderlende You mean dynamic range? Yeah, I believe the operator should have used "All soft" setting but he didn't and that's why they look like this. Actually frontier have excellent highlight details(if operator used the proper settings). Anyway, the Frontier is liked for it's colors not sharpness.
      Frontier scans are quite contrasty by default.

    i've been thinking about getting a negative supply scanning setup recently. do you have the premium 35mm kit?

      I really like mine, I’ve got the “pro version2” 35mm kit

    Nice for some reason the lab has me beat with sharpness but the edits with negative lab pro, any way to match the sharpness like do I need to recalibrate my scanner?

    how do you color correct batch files at once? or do you have to do them individually?

    • @lukasvanderlende
      @lukasvanderlende  Před rokem

      I’ve been doing them individually but with negative lab pro 3.0 it’ll be batch editable

    Are you using the Leica R100m ? Do you use the elpro to get 1:1 macro or do you crop in for your scans? Thank you.

    • @lukasvanderlende
      @lukasvanderlende  Před rokem +1

      I use it now, at the time of this video I didn’t have it yet. But I do use the R100m with the elpro

      Thank you very much man! Do you see a loss of sharpness on the side of the frame? I have very similar gear to you (SL2+24/90 & M10R+28f2/50f1.4) I like the vibe of the channel, keep it up. Subscribed :)@@lukasvanderlende
