    You are 100% Right ! Older is better built, easier to work on and will outlast the new. Keep it running !

      Your tractor must be a newer model, as there were a lot of changes in options over the long production run

    Love the old garden tractors. I have two old Sears suburban models. I use them to plow my garden and pull wagons.

      we have a couple of the Sears Suburbans too, but I need to do some repairs to get them in action the Suburbans were very well made tractors

    I have a 1964 Wards 9HP Garden Mark Squire that has been in the family since 1970.....I still use it to snowplow my driveway but it spends the remainder of the year slumbering in the garage.....A couple years ago, I cleaned it up and repainted it into a red and white paint scheme, replaced most of the wiring and installed a pair of headlights.

      The old Simplicity--Garden Mark tractors are great long lasting and useful old pieces of machinery. My old Garden Mark is the best old garden tractor of all that I have owned. My ol Wheel Horse and Sears Suburban tractors have been good also.

    that tractor is the same age as me, and is running better than me!!! regards alan.

    I have a 66 allis b112 and a 67 allis b110 with the hydraulic lift and use it as my primary mower. Hard to wear out. Built tougher than the ones built today. Probably equivalent to an $8000 lawn mower today. They aren’t as fast but cut good and are easy enough to keep them up on your own.

  • @trucks_n_tractors_6335

    I’ve got a bunch of new and old lawn and garden tractors and I will say my old ones are built way better than the new peerless until about 2000 we’re some of the heaviest duty transaxles the peerless 2300 was put in some of the heaviest garden tractors such as many of the bigger John Deere’s like my 316 I believe

    Very nice brand of Tractor love Montgomery wards but I have to say that I think this is pretty much just a spin off of the simplicity tractors of that era you can clearly tell this by the color scheme and design is pretty much similar except for a few subtle differences

    • @mrobsoletesvintagehomestea9156
      @mrobsoletesvintagehomestea9156  Před 3 lety

      The only difference between the MW and the Simplicicty is the Garden Mark logo on the hood.

    • @Ellenslife851

      @@mrobsoletesvintagehomestea9156 And also the design of the seat bucket I believe on mine it doesn’t have that round tube frame holding the seat bucket up

    • @Ellenslife851
      @Ellenslife851 Před 3 lety

      And my simplicity tractor does not have the curled lip on the front of the Hood either but it could just be the difference and model this is the first simplicity tractor is actually owned

    • @mrobsoletesvintagehomestea9156
      @mrobsoletesvintagehomestea9156  Před 3 lety +1

      Their were minor changes to the hood and seat set up in the newer models, but the basic tractor is the same.
