  • Part 8: • Danny Trejo on Running...
    Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz44B.
    ------------------
In this clip, Danny Trejo reveals why he didn't have a speaking role in the cult classic film "Desperado," noting that the director Robert Rodriguez felt that he could say more with his facial expressions alone. From there, the conversation shifts towards the character played by Salma Hayek in the film, which Trejo recalls made everyone love snakes. Elsewhere in the segment, Trejo also speaks to what it was like to work with decorated actors like Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Val Kilmer in "Heat."

Heat is easily one of my favorite movies, and like my favorite movies, changes spots from time to time between the top few, but never leaves. Trejo was fantastic in it! Endlessly rewatchable and the music is insanely good. To paraphrase:
DeNiro: Did you tell them my out?
    Trejo: I don't know, Neil. I ... I can't remember.
That last line just killed me, man. The way he delivered it. The defeat, the self-disappointment, but also the courage and friendship of the honesty. He didn't lie or beg for mercy. He really didn't know.
Trejo: Don't leave me like this, Neil. My Maria, she's gone. My legs, I can't feel nothing. Don't leave me like this.
    BOOM
Top notch acting, directing, timing. My heart was in my throat. I gained so much respect for Trejo after that scene. There's a terrific documentary out about him too.

@Pretty Ahki If not mistaken, as this is what bugged me the fuck out, there werent any other prior nor since that one mild scene. Pachino pissed me off with his over the top antics on that role outside of that classic scene & Bobby mastered his craft and got even more refined in this role then went on to do Ronin a few later which was one of his top ranking best ever. Heat's a one and done for me but Ronin can get watched forever over & over. I remember an interview when Mase first had some success and he rode around in his new truck with the audio of the shootout blasting out of his whip haha.

One of the funniest parts of the movie, is after Danny's character is dead, and El Bucho is looking at him as the big boss tells him about the guy he sent, and he is clearly describing Danny's character and El Bucho just looks sicker and sicker as he realizes who they killed. What a great movie.

I really don't think he can bring himself to let go of the milking format he does. I remember it's been over a year now, but he tried and released a full interview 1st saying "trying something new seeing how this works let us know if you like getting the full interview 1st." And then he released the parts I can't remember who it was. But I'm absolutely sure everyone loved it because EVERYONE always says that anyway can we hurry and get the full instead of milking it over a year? He couldn't bring himself to do it that was the only time and he instantly went back to this format. Now I try not to even watch I just wait till the full drops. He can't stop the ride the wave format, a rapper had a fight the other day Vlad immediately puts "flashback video" to a clip when he interviewed him. Nipsey Hussle is killed he immediately tries to cash in posting a clip from 100yrs ago he did with him. Every chance he gets to keep going on about the same subjects: Terry crews, boosie flashback, Cosby show actor working at trader Joe's being a failure at life in his opinion he runs the topic into the ground.
