Hiring a editor is the best move you can make because I’ve spent hours and hours recording and editing videos on top of working 12 hour shifts. I still edit most of my videos because it does get very expensive when you don’t make any money from CZcams.

I agree about youtube shorts killing the platform.
TikTok is to blame for that.
Ever since TikTok emerged, all platforms tried to become a TikTok clone. But it is a natural move of a profit-oriented company to copy the competitor's moves that work the best. It had to happen this way, and we as the weakest piece of the chain have to deal with it now, and make the best of it.
Well, I had never met Jade but I instantly recognized she was savvy at marketing because of her stunning JADE outfit. I will have no problem remembering her name! Went right over to her channel and listened for hours. Thank you Think Media for another great podcast.
Recording separate hooks within the long form session is a gamechanger.

LOVE IT! My first self-help book was “7 Habits” too! Still lean back into the truths he lays out. Truly timeless!
Even though YT is not bowling, there are common denominators:
A. Getting to the top level only looks easy.
B. What works under some conditions doesn’t work on others.
C. Conditions change constantly, the top players are able to adjust and adjust quicker than their lower level counterparts.
D. It’s easy to get discouraged. However just like bowling, the top players have been at it for years and it’s a long road with a lot of bumps and bruises along the way.
E. It’s easy to get a break now and then but the consistent players know why they are getting the good results, the lower level players don’t.

Jade is SPOT ON. I hate lengthy intros. If I need to know something, I check outage the shortest time video in the queue.
It is so challenging to continue to not only create content but keep up with the "trends". I don't care about monetization, just views. I want my message out

So do not try to make your thing for everybody.
Practice creating art that resonates with you.
And it will reach others who will appreciate it too.
Do not get caught up in praise or criticism.
After all, not everyone means what they say.
Therefore do not let it go to your head either way.
With negative people-avoid their company.
Their negative vibes can block your creativity.
Choose not to allow mean comments to discourage you.
It comes from the mouths of jealous hearts
with nothing better to do.
You cannot control what others say
or call you.
Choose to focus on your goals.
And make your dreams
come true.

To be honest I see a new one changing: regular hooks - since too many use them, they are getting less effective. Give the people a value hook and they stay. Use an outdated hook and they are annoyed and leave.
What's a good example of a "hook"?
I watched the whole video, shocking. It inspired me to keep moving forward with the educational part of my content. I naturally wanna move torwards teaching. I’m also a video editor by trade, and I find it quite relaxing so I think just checking in with our strengths and niches is key to growing our brand.

She's so right about cold emailing CZcamsrs to promote your editing. I have only received 2 emails from editors and both were terrible one sentence outreaches. The bar is set really low if you want to get editing jobs. I would love to get good emails from good editors.

Great video! I focus on getting to the point I don’t do intro because name and niche is on banner. People want to see what the title is about in beginning not 5 min later and if like me they stay and watch. Monetized in April now close to 13,000 in affilate sales from March and April. I'm not a content creator and I can tell CZcams changed. CZcams is no longer recommending me the new videos of channels I'm subscribe to, or even from channel that have content relevant to me, I have to look for this videos by myself.

My approach will doing a workshop of helping someone in front of an audience in real time and interviewing testimonials of how they applied my steps going struggle to success. I will do a demonstration approach rather than just use my own words using more action for all to see. Proof

There has been a NEW CZcams CEO since February 2023 last year, this means NEW RULES that CZcamsrs need to follow to grow on CZcams. In February 2023, Susan Wojcicki stepped down as the CZcams CEO. Then shortly afterwards still in 2023, Neal Mohan became the new CZcams CEO.

Nah I wouldn't say 1 minute intros are gone..I've been hot lately and that's how I have got going
She is real.... she knows what she is talking about. My 30-40 minutes videos will normally obtain around 10 minutes watch time. Just imagine if we got thousands of views, we will get hundred of even thousand of hours watch hours. Thanks for sharing! Very insightful.

One thing that I find, extremely, annoying comes from viewing as a creator. There are too many videos out there that should be titled "I talk about nothing for 20 minutes before I give you what you clicked for" or "I could have made a 3 minute video, but it takes me 20 minutes to get there."
The length of the video doesn't matter much, to me, but 30 seconds is my bench mark. If you're rambling about nothing at that point, I'm gone.
For advice or coaching channels, give me something that I haven't already seen every other creator do. Stop wasting time on perpetuating "old" advice.
To niche or not to niche and I would also add quantity vs quality. I think everyone is gonna fall into an industry or niche but then the key is to break that down into sub topics. And for quality vs quantity it's both. Repurposing content is the unlock for being able to do long form and short form. And now sites like Opus Clip and Munch can do it for you.
I wish you would have had more color on your Grow with video stage …. You couldnt find any other black You Tubers 😢interesting
It is certainly hard to deliver value when the people in the world got declining intellectual abilities. But, there are still diamonds waiting to be found.
Not what I’m seeing in my genre. The longer the video the better. Watch time matters most. Snappy edited videos only equal less watch time.
What is a first class honors degree?
I have 4 channels. One is fully monetized. On this channel that’s not niched at all, I have enough watch time but not enough subs. I’m doing some shorts but I really don’t like them. I much prefer long form content.

Just throw around the "value"word. A real story has value in its essence or perhaps there's no value to a story at all. But to say this or that has "no value"... Is not valuable when you don't clearly define what you mean by value. A trailer might be the magic that makes something work. Some introduction is actually a welcome thing. So define value clearly or stop saying it every 5 seconds
How many subs before you should consider an editor unless you’re full time on CZcams I imagine this is reserved for people with more resources.

When you are listening to video after video you don't need to see intro after intro with every bloody presentation...get to the point..no filler pointless chatter
I always click off of a long intro. ALWAYS.
