Architects are not supposed to change the economic systems related to architecture, they rather should respond effectively to the constantly changes around the cities integrating sustainability and public space
Architecture as a profession has a severe case of saviour delusion. For more than twenty years now they all tell the same speech, and each one acts as if no one else is saying it. Environment and social justice, we get it. Now how about talking at least 10 seconds about the hardware? After all, chipperfield is an expert designer of builders, not an expert sociologist, or anthropologist, or social scientist of any kind.
rich kid, rich man, works in a rich city - doesn't understand how the ungrateful poor people can want to leave the EU which has presided over the demolition of their industry, income and well-being. Out of touch ... design your beautiful interventions in Museums ...... its what you understand.
