It amazes me how some parents can just be like "how dare my child grow up into their own individual person with their own beliefs and values!"
I agree with you. I don't know (I'm not a parent myself) but I think it has to do with parents who can't accept that they can't control their adult children and decide their life according to how they want to be seen and their own narcissistic reputation, is more important than their child being happy and living life to it's fullest

While I do love my meat, I would never judge anyone who ate different than me. I wouldn’t want someone telling me how I should eat or judging me, so why would I do that to others.

The mother wasn't being open minded, you can still get big and strong without eating meat. There are plenty of protein substitutes for vegetarians, plus the fact it's best to follow your nutrition by sticking to the four food groups. Great video Illumeably. 👍

Big & strong is false, I work for a sports nutrient company, & we sell both animal & plant-based protein. I major in biochem, my boss is also a doctor, & he vouch that plant-based is difficult for hard gainer, though less side effects. Especially for us asians, as 90% of us are lactose intolerant.
My weight is at 38kg, height 154cm. I’m not suitable for vegan diet. I’m in my mid 20s, had 2 kids, but I have a fast metabolism, regardless of how much I consume. I know a lot of people who tried vegan diet & ended up malnourished.
I hate vegans, due to how aggressively they force their belief down one’s throat, you can’t even own a leather product. 🙄 Never heard of food chain cycle?
But I’m ok with vegetarians. My late grandma is a vegetarian due to religion(Shintoism).

If the guy has the right to eat vegan then it's his right, and if the mother is non vegetarian then it's her right!, why would you want to make your mother force feed leaves?.. I am a non vegetarian and i can't eat a plate of salad at lunch, I would choose to be hungry rather then eat a plate of leaves. She should not be forced to eat something she clearly hate!

Dude, I was aight with salads, soya milk, and tofu even way before I became vegetarian (age 15). I’ve been consuming such foods ever since I can recall. It ain’t like vegetarians eat foods that their counterparts don’t-it’s just that We eat no meat.

Exactly because I was a vegetarian as a child but my father and my second oldest sister tried making me eat meat especially meat I didn't like because they refused to respect me being vegetarian but my Mom and my first oldest sister respected me being vegetarian.

When I was a kid going to middle school I ate a ton of salads for lunch cause they never really had anything I liked to eat except for pizza which wasn't all that great but probably out of the 5 days I had school I would eat a salad for at least 3 or 4 of the days.
