My late dad was a postal worker and he was loved by people in the area he delivered mail for 45 years. There's no shame in making an honest living, at all. And stop forcing your kids to be with someone they don't want to be with! Let them be happy, as long as the person they're with treats them with respect.
I totally agree!!! After all, it doesn't really matter what someone does for a living. It still doesn't make him/her any more/less human than the next person.

My dad also worked as a letter carrier for 38 years. I had a great life growing up. I still work as an electrician and have countless stories over the years from people that knew him and tell me what a great guy he was. Us "blue collar" men and women do a lot of good work. Bless our dads.

i do deliver newspapers, 6 different ones, plus (depending on the day) 1 to 3 magazines. there are changes almost daily. we do it in the dark, we do it when it's snowing or frozen. also there are "clients" with special wishes (want it on the window sill, in a bag in the garage or whatever).
i had many older students doing my job when i was away, and i can assure you, a lot of them failed badly.

I respect the mail carriers in my neighborhood. They deliver the mail every day that's not Sunday. I love mailing letters and getting mail. The person who writes back to me the most is my 3rd grade teacher. She loves getting mail. I also love getting mail. My very first best friend also writes back to me. Every letter I receive, I put into an empty Amazon box. So far, I have 8 letters, one from my kindergarten teacher, three from my 3rd grade teacher, one from my elementary school teacher, two from my very first best friend, and one from my elementary school principal. I have written to my elementary school music teacher, but he never wrote back. He's probably still mad at me.

Im 22 but when i was 21 i took the online test for the postal service but ended up getting an offer but turned it down for another job. However they dont want you to leave your current job. And a post office job is a government job.

Well that's stupid. He could have just chosen to represent good people instead and remained a lawyer. Also, I don't think that's how it works. You can't just decide to sometimes be a lawyer and sometimes not. There is a board that has to certify you to practice law in your state, and idk if there are other things to keep up with, I'm sure there are.
