  • This is a simple demonstration of a gentle way to rope and tie down a steer if you're alone on the ranch and the steer needs to be doctored, is in the wrong place and needs to be loaded in a trailer or needs to be restrained for any other reason.

Good demo heard of a lot of people breaking legs doctoring cattle in the pastures doing the steer tripping but that looks like it works real slick when yer doing it alone

Thank you, what a true stockman you are. This makes me shake my head sadly.. "heard of a lot of people breaking legs doctoring cattle in the pastures doing the steer tripping". And steer-busting is a popular "sport". Just.so.wrong.
    You do it so right!
    Thanks again.

Good lord you ever rope a wild 850 yearly....he would be near dead before your barn trick would work.
Besides never tie off on grounded steer people unless you have help...always half hitch and carry the rope tail.
This guy is a barn boy.

Lol. What a jerk you are. We doctor alone like this every day. If I didn’t tie off when alone, I wouldn’t get my job done.

Literally did this today. Several times. You might want to actually know what you’re talking about before you try to sound like you do.

No it does not as a matter of fact about 90 percent of what you see in the rodeos is not done on ranches.
