Hi Amanda, Thanks for uploading. I like to do embroidery, and I've watched some videos I'm going to SUBSCRIBE bc it's beginner friendly, which I am, and I'm so ready to learn and grow.

Hi Amanda, thank you for this video! I've been embroidering on and off since I was 10. One thing that always annoys and frustrates me is finding a great way to store left over strands of floss. To explain better, say you cut off 10 inches of floss from a bobbin. Now you need 2plys and that's what you peel off. And now I've tried a lot of methods to store the left over 4plys but I don't seem to go back and use it if I ever I have to use the same floss again! I've tried putting it back on the original bobbin but it doesn't quite sit well as the strand maybe quote short and end up getting tangled. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!

Hey there! I unfortunately don’t have a better system for this either haha I generally tend to put it back on the bobbin and if I don’t use it I set it aside so I can grab another strand. I wish I had a better way though!

Hello, I'm new to cross stitch and I purchased a pack of embroidery floss from Walmart, there is no DMC code on them (the sticker) is there a way to find out what they are? Or would they just be considered misc.

Hey there! DMC is a specific brand of floss so they unfortunately wouldn’t have a corresponding number. There are a few brands that you can find conversion charts online but I’m not too sure if there’s one for Walmart brand floss!

One thing you could try is purchasing a DMC thread color card if you’re looking to match the thread colors to specific codes!

I was going to ask you the very answer you gave. Bi have over 330 floss all unnumbered. I just ordered a real thread card. How hard is it to match and number from the master list to floss?

It’s doable! Some of the colors are pretty similar though so there may be a few that may be challenging. But the threaded cards are very accurate with their color.

Well… I’m new. I received a kit from Amazon that came with a bunch of floss., I also purchase MORE floss at the local craft store. What brand? heck I don’t know. I just wound all the floss that came in my Amazon kit along with the floss, I purchased from the craft store onto the bobbins and didn’t pay attention to NUMBERS because what difference do they make? 😅😅😅 it was only about four colors so….
I’m still not sure how I’m organizing all this floss, but I’ll get to that later for now I’m learning how to do a running stitch
    Be back later. 😅

No worries! Whichever way you feel is easiest is the way you should do it!
