      Hey Thanks! I’ve been wanting to launch this channel for several years, but didn’t think I wanted to be in the videos myself. After sharing the idea with many others and nothing happening, I finally decided I better just do it myself. 🙂

    Another good one: what does the Bible say about praying to Jesus? 🔥 Ive been contemplating this. Kinda wanting to speak with Him directly.

      Yes. I know when Jesus visited the people in 3 Nephi he instructed them to pray to Him while he was with them. Very interesting.

    A synagogue on every corner and not one righteous man to be found. If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly appear. It obviously says that not many of them suckers are going to gain life.

    Peter is not the rock. Christ didn’t build the church upon Peter. He built it upon himself with him being the head. Paul explained it in Colossians 1:18. The easier way to look at it is. Christ is the head of the church the body is the believers. So church = Christ + body of believers. Think about it. The church in Corinth, Ephesus even in Jerusalem all congregated in houses. They had no synagogue. The Jerusalem Christians were able to go to their synagogues but the gentile churches met from house to house. But they were addressed as a church in the epistles. Remember Jesus foretold the new place of worship under the new covenant in John 4:21. The apostles attested to it in Acts 7:48.

      I fully understand your point, and you are right but getting caught up in a semantic that is causing you to miss the mark.
      Yes Jesus is the Rock. He's the foundation the pillars and the roof. He is the centerpoint of the entire church.
      But he is not here running his church, so he calls prophets. This has been a pattern from the beginning of the Creation, that continued through the Old and New Testaments, and continues today.
      Peter's job as "the Rock" as Jesus named him, was to do all he could as Prophet and Apostle, to represent Jesus Christ and do what He would do.

      God forbid I miss the mark. There’s no room for semantics in scripture. The instruction to the church in 1 Corinthians 4:6 is not to go beyond what is written because everything is explained and interpreted in the gospels and epistles by the apostles and chosen disciples. Those scriptures survived despite the heavy persecution of the early church because the will of God regarding them is in 2 Timothy 3:16. When Paul said his last goodbye to the Ephesians in Acts 20:32 he committed them to the word of God as their guide to sanctification, not an existing nor upcoming prophet. Nothing essential to our salvation was left untaught by the apostles or they would had failed their mission and ministry. Until now, the apostles are still preaching the gospel of the Lord through the scriptures we have at hand. The apostles are not prophets. Paul explained their distinction in 1 Corinthians 12:29. There are prophets in the new covenant like the daughters of Philip in Acts 21:9. Peter’s job is the same as the rest of the apostles which was to preach the gospel, including the word of the prophets commanded in 2 Peter 3:2 through the apostles. The only apostle tasked to prophesy the details of future events was the last living one. John in Revelation 10:11.

      A couple questions: How can you claim this? "Nothing essential to our salvation was left untaught by the apostles or they would had failed their mission and ministry."
      And how can you be certain we have their complete writings?

    • @OpieApproved
      @OpieApproved Před 13 dny +1

      @@WhatBibleSay The simple answer is because I have faith in my Lord. I believe his words and his promise to the apostles are true in Matthew 28:20.
      How do you suppose those apostles are able to preach the gospel to ALL nations, and how do you think Christ is with them as they teach ALL nations to obey ALL his commandments until the end of age, if Christ is not with the gospels and scriptures they first taught by mouth and next by letter to this day? See what Paul says about how they taught the church in 2 Thessalonians 2:15. The scriptures survived and will continue to survive until the end of this world because Christ has spoken it in Matthew 24:14. I don’t know what you believe. But I believe no man not even an empire, nor the coming beast could stop my Lord from his will regarding his gospel. It’s as complete then as it is now and as it will be til the end. May you find the truth about God through Christ who saves you. I hope you hear.

      Hi there. I’ve read your comment and scripture passages you’ve displayed. May I ask how was the Gospel received -- by Revelation. When Christ spoke about the Church built upon this rock, he is referring to -- Revelation. Jesus is indeed the head of the Church and He reveals his mind and will to His people through His servants. This goes back to authority and power which God gives to His children. Jesus gave the priesthood and ordained these men so that they can speak and act in His name. All the true prophets spoken of in the scriptures have the priesthood and the Spirit of prophecy and do God’s work. Those who receive God’s servants receive Him. Jesus spoke of not having to worship in any specific location but that you can be able to worship him in spirit and truth.
      When Jesus fulfilled the first covenant or the law of Moses. The Passover ordinance which God had commanded the house of Israel to remember and practise was essentially converted into the sacrament which Jesus instituted among His followers. The sacrament is what we as Latter-day Saints would term a “saving ordinance”. Saving ordinances enable us to be qualified to enter the Father’s presence and be with Him and Christ in their Kingdom forever. It’s a saving ordinance because it’s about our personal covenant relationship with Jesus Christ and reviewing that connection and promises we made to Him, it exalts us to be like our Father in heaven. We take upon us His name, keep His commandments and always remember Him. Church is a place for us to receive saving ordinances and as a gathering place for the saints for Jesus has commanded His followers to be one in heart, mind, spirit and purpose through His intercessory Prayer - John 17.
      The Gospel must be taught by God’s authorised servants and we cannot receive Jesus without receiving the ones that he has sent including for today. On the topic of the Gospel. What is the Gospel, really?
      You’ll find that in this world, we need God’s power, not just his word to save us! I testify that the apostolic and prophetic authority has been restored through the earth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! It is built upon God’s laws and a Zion culture is being established where once again God will try and come down and dwell with His people when they are ready. These things I bear record of in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
