    Thank you for showing scriptures that show there are missing books from the Bible. This does not mean that the Bible has been corrupted or not preserved. You did not say this but many might falsely conclude this. If we false conclude that, then the Book of Mormon would have to be corrupted since there are some missing text (book of Lehi, etc). However we know that both the Bible and the Book of Mormon have been preserved by God (Alma 37:2-5). We should not and cannot demean God’s word in any way, especially since He is the One Who preserved them.

    Great insight about the parables of Jesus and its similarities to how Isaiah writes! One thing on the topic of the video: we should we remember that the Bible, as we have it right now, has been preserved by God Himself (Alma 37:2-5). Thus, we should not doubt the Bible or its teachings. It is 100% doctrinally correct and true (1 Nephi 13:39).

      We believe the Bible as far as it’s been translated correctly. And the Book of Mormon explains many of the plain and precious truths that have been removed from the Bible. Yes, the records written by the apostles are true… but we need to be careful whose hands they passed through after they were written. In my own experience, I’ve had the most trouble with contradictions in the Old Testament. The very people who wanted to kill Lehi and forced him to leave, were the ones who controlled ghetto scriptures.

      @@WhatBibleSay Regardless of these justifications, the Book of Mormon is clear. The scripture still says the Bible we have now is true and preserved by God, regardless of things being taken away. The Book of Mormon “was given by inspiration … proving to the world that the holy scriptures [the Bible] are true” (D&C 20:8-11). The Apostle Mark E. Petersen said, "The Bible in and of itself is a divine miracle. The preservation of the Bible and its survival to our day is likewise a miracle. The fact that it has endured the merciless onslaughts of blinded clerics, ignorant and prejudiced kings and governors, not to mention the later attacks of a misguided intelligentsia, is also a miracle. … We do not need to worry too much about those words ‘as far as it is translated correctly’” You wouldn't disagree with an Apostle, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Book of Mormon would you? Or would you rather support the Bible, as they do?

    According to the Bible... In Genesis we read that Adam and Eve were joined together as husband and wife in the Garden of Eden. There they would have remained forever, having been joined together by God Himself. And what God hath joined, no power on earth, including death or the grave, has any power to undo or annul. Then came the fall and they became subjected to pain and death. Their union however was and is eternal because it was ordained of God. Eternal marriage therefore is of God and not man, and existed on the earth long before the Bible. It's true that in the resurrection, no marriages are being made, but what about after the resurrection and final judgement? Are we not to be resurrected as male and female, since that's the way we were created? What kind of heaven includes the resurrected bodies and souls of both males and females, but consigned to live as celibate eunuchs throughout all eternity

    The scriptures are true. Besides that, there is something inborn in us as humans that tells us that there is more to life than the time between birth and death. All major religions agree that we continue to exist after death, and that there are consequences for our actions in life (good or bad). Logically it would follow that if marriage is so important to God for us in this life, that this relationship would be at least as important to God after this life. Yes, to this brother. Jesus Christ gave Peter the power to seal/marry a man and a woman on earth and they would still be sealed/married in heaven. Amen.

  • @jwlindsey
    @jwlindsey Před 22 dny

    Where Matthew 22 is mentioned, I really believe that Jesus must have alluded to (if not outright taught about) eternal marriage in his time. Here is my reasoning: 1. Verse 23: specifically states the Sadducees, who don't believe in the resurrection, asked Jesus to clarify some teachings about marriage after the resurrection. If the Sadducees do not believe in the resurrection, what caused them to even bring up the question? It may have been spurred on by a teaching about eternal marriage that may have been circulating among the groups who had been listening to Jesus and discussing his teachings. 2. Verses 24-28: the Sadducees bring to mind what is called "Levirate Marriage" designated in Deut 25:5-10. The purpose of which was to ensure the 1st brother's "name be not put out of Israel" (that he may be remembered). The time period for Levirate marriage was not eternal but only to keep the original brother's name in regard so he would not be forgotten. 3. Verses 29-30: Jesus' response had to do with the marriage relationship specified in Deuteronomy, not Eternal Marriage. “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” (i.e., The 7 brothers were not sealed by the power of God.) "But in the resurrection they [i.e., the brothers] neither marry nor are given in marriage but are as the angels which are in heaven."

      @@WhatBibleSay I get it you believe the bible is corrupted or you wouldn't be Mormon. Yet the evidence shows one is true and the other is false. I pray you examine each for the truth. That "testimony" test of LDS is not biblical. I don't disagree that you get a feeling just as Jehovah's witnesses and Muslims and Hindus. The terms set forth in Moroni 10:4 are manipulative and use circular reasoning. D&C Section 9:8-9 - tells us that if something is true it will make our "bosom burn" and we will FEEL that it is right. Maroni 10:4 says: "he will manifest the truth of it unto you" The BIBLE WARNS us against this SUBJECTIVE type of truth test. The LDS test for truth violates the Biblical test. Why? Because we have a sinful nature that can be DECEIVED. Proverbs 28:26 "He that trusts in his own (bosom) heart is a FOOL." The Biblical test begins first with PRIOR Scriptural revelation and to test all things by it (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:12-2:3; 1 Thes. 5:19-21). 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV "STUDY ... rightly dividing the word of TRUTH." Acts 17:11 "EXAMINE THE SCRIPTURES to see if what said is TRUE". 1John 4:1 says: "BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT, ... because MANY FALSE PROPHETS (J.S.) have gone out into the world." The Bible repeatedly warns us about false teachers, false prophets, false Jesuses, false gospels and counterfeit Christianity (Matt 7:15, 24:24; 2 Peter 2:1-3; 2 Cor. 11:3-4, 13-15; Gal. 1:6-9). Scripture explicitly warns us against demonic spiritual deception (1 Tim. 4:1). "And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." 2 Cor. 11:14 Even when Paul and Silas delivered the truths of the gospel to the people of Berea, the Bereans were commended for EXAMINING the Scriptures to validate the claims of the apostles. There are NO Biblical directives to pray for new revelation based on a warm feeling for verification. Would you pray about the validity of the Koran or about whether or not Muhammad is a true prophet? If no, why not? Are the Muslims not sincere? They pray 5 times per day. Don’t they feel good or right about their faith? I have sincerely prayed with real faith in Christ and He has shown me Mormonism is false! I don't ask that you believe me, believe the words of the Bible that Jesus affirmed. Luke 24:44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” "Before me NO god was formed, nor shall there be ANY after me.” (Isaiah 43:10) If Mormonism is true, then God could not make this claim, for he was just a man at one point; nor could he claim that no gods would come after him, for that is the goal of J.S. and LDS members. Isaiah 44:6 says, "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is NO God." & "Is there any God besides me?.. I know not one". God is saying there is NOT an infinite amount of Gods, and there is none like Him. LDS teaches that there is. He was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ Himself did" (King Follett Sermon) Either the BIBLE or LDS is FALSE.

  • @GarySaint-xm6tr
    @GarySaint-xm6tr Před 26 dny

    In Luke Jesus gave us an account of the Rich man and Lazarus. Both died, yet they were very much alive as spirits. The Rich man even asked Abraham to send Lazarus to his brothers, so they would repent, after seeing Lazarus come back from the dead, and not end up in the place of torments, where he was. Abraham said, " They have the law and the prophets, if they believe not them, they will not be convinced though someone come back from the dead" This scripture shows us we absolutely do not need a body to live! We are alive as spirits with or without a body. So why would we need, or even want a body? It would have to be to be able to do something we cannot do as spirits, or there would be no point, right? Please pay attention. I am showing you how you can know what the meaning of life is. So if we believe the Bible, we believe that we are intelligent spirits housed in a body, which body is absolutely not nessesarry for us to live. We are looking at why we would want a body. The New Testament teaches that Christ created heaven and earth, all things visible and invisible. For Christ to have created earth, He had to have been a Spirit right? Right! So intelligent spirit can create. Now, to further understand our abilities as spirits without a body, we must look at some other scriptures. In Revelation 12 we read about a war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought, and Satan and his angels fought. Satan and his angels lost the war ,and were cast out of heaven down here to the earth. By this, and other scriptures, we see that every time we read in the Bible about a person being possessed by a devil, they are being possessed by one or more of those angels who were kicked out of heaven. Right? Right! Now we look at an example of those cast out angels possessing someone. In Luke, we read about a man in the tombs. He was cutting himself. He wore no cloths, and no person could bind him. He was crazy, out of his mind. Jesus walked up to the man, and the devils possessing the man responded that their name was "Legion" when Jesus asked their name. The begged Jesus to not cast them into the open, where they would have no body, but instead, they sought to be cast into the bodies of above 2000 swine that were feeding on the side of a hill. Jesus allowed them to enter into the bodies of the pigs. Let's look at our similarities to the demons. They are intelligent spirits, that do not need a body to live. We are intelligent spirits that not need a body to live. Here is where we see our true identity. Can those angels that were cast out of heaven that possessed the man in the tombs, have a body of their own? No! If they could, they would have just manifested themselves into their own body, rather than seek the bodies of pigs, instead of the option of no body. How much do those intelligent spirits that possessed the man want a body? So much that they would rather possess the bodies of pigs than have no body at all. Are they jealous of us, because we have a body and they can never have one? Yes!!!!!!! Do they hate us, because we have a body and they can never have one? Yes!!!!!!!! Are they at war with us, because we have a body, and they can never have one? Yes!!!!!!! The war that started in heaven is still raging. Only now it is being fought here on earth. We are the angels who kicked Satan and his angels out of heaven!!!!!!! We are the son's and daughters of God. We are the son's of God who sang together and shouted for joy at the creation of the earth, spoken of in Job 38: 4,7. Jeremiah was ordained a prophet unto the nations before he was born. See Jeremiah 1:5. We do not need a body to be ordained or sanctified. In 2 Peter, I believe it's ch. 4, we read how Jesus went to the spirits who were disobedient after the long suffering of the days of Noah, and preached the gospel to them , between the time if His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, so a spirit can repent of some things. However, there would be no purpose for mortal life, if a spirit can repent of all things. If you look at all the capabilities we have as spirits only, it is everything we can do with a body, except, eat food, drink fluids, and copulalte. There is the answer to the purpose of life! Would God trust an immortal with a body of flesh and bones that has sexual organs, like Adam and Eve had in the garden of Eden, that could not be killed, even by Him? No. The Bible teaches that everyone's body of flesh and bones will be resurrected and immortal, but only those people who repent of all sins that violate the law of chastity as mortals, will have an immortal body that has sexual organs. In the example of the 7 Sadducees brothers, and one Sadducees woman, Jesus was only responding to them, not everyone. He was saying, those 7 Sadducees brothers, and one Sadducees woman that do not believe in the resurrection of the dead, and therefore do not believe He is the Messiah, will be like angels in heaven, who have no sexual organs, and therefore cannot be married or given in marriage. Do you believe Jesus was telling the Sadducees that they would be angels in heaven, who do not believe in Christ? Come on. Follow the they in that scripture, and use only the King James Bible, the others have been changed to reflect their beliefs that Christ was talking about everyone. You will see that the they means only the Sadducees, but is applies to everyone who does not believe in the resurrected of the dead. A Celestial body is a body that is immortal, and has sexual organs. A Terrestrial or Telestial body is an immortal body that has no sexual organs. Those people who are resurrected at the first resurrection will either have Celestial bodies, with sexual organs, like Adam and Eve, or they will have Terrestrial bodies, but only those who lived the law of chastity as a mortal will have a Celestial body. There will be many Adams and many Eves during the Millennial reign of Christ on the earth, but there will be no fornication or Adultery. We are here to be tested to see if we can handle an immortal body that has sexual organs.

      I understand where you are coming from, but that’s the problem when you only have one verse to determine an entire doctrine. That’s why “in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” When you combine all the words of multiple prophets, and multiple accounts of Jesus, we get a more clear picture.

      @@WhatBibleSay Are you aware that everyone that sees a certain doctrine a certain way says the same exact thing, even though their compilation of scriptures they used to come up with their understanding is diametrically opposed to a dozen other understandings. That is why I go to the basics. Does the Bible teach we are intelligent spirits that do not need a body? Yes! Does the Bible teach our body will be resurrected and immortal? Yes! What can we do with a body that we cannot do as a spirit? Eat, drink, and copulalte. That's it! The reason we want a body is to be able to eat, drink and copulalte. If the only things we can do with a body that we cannot do as a spirit only , that would require a mortal test is copulalte, then the purpose for mortal life is to see if we can be trusted with an immortal body that has sexual organs, like Adam and Eve had, that cannot be killed, even by God, because God declared it as a result of the atonement of Jesus Christ, and He cannot go back on His word. We can repent as spirits, but if we could repent of everything as a spirit, there would be no need for a mortal test. Considering the only thing we can do with a body that we cannot do as a spirit only that would require a mortal test is copulalte, there must be eternal marriage, otherwise, having a mortal body would be a waste of time. We would not want or need one.

      With the limited doctrine you have, I understand where your misconception comes from. The truth is that God the Father has a perfected body. He wants His children to become like him. He sent us here to receive a mortal physical body and be tested. As we learn to control our physical bodies and act in God-like ways, we become more like our Father in Heaven. After this life we will be resurrected and have a perfected physical body like God has. This is truth as taught in the Old Testament but filtered by the Deuteronomists. Why reject biblical truth? We are commanded to test any teacher or "prophet" to see if it conflicts with previous revelation. The bible tells us to watch out for false teachers and examine the scripture just like the Bereans did to see if what the Apostle Paul was teaching was truth. Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and EXAMINED the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Test Joseph Smith against the words of God Jesus affirmed. You may be aware that the Quran also contains some truth as it copies stories from the bible as well. Does this make the BOM or the Quran as a whole true? No. Each claims to receive revelation from an angel to restore corrupted parts. Neither explains what the corrupted parts are. It is interesting that Muhammad and Joseph Smith both claimed God gave them authority to have multiple wives, J.S. having even more than Muhammad. Do you see the problem? Remember, Jesus said be aware of the yeast of the Pharisees? Mathew 16:16 It is the parts added to or changed to the scriptures that make Joseph Smith, the Pharisees (orally not to the scriptures) and Muhammad false prophets. It is simple to spot the Joseph Smith teaches a different false Father and son. So did the LDS apostles after him. I pray you recognize the danger you are in. 2 Timothy 3:16 ESV All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, Proverbs 30:5-6 ESV Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar. Either you believe the biblical scripture or Joseph Smith's teachings followed by LDS. You cannot hold both as truth as they contradict each other. Don't be fooled. The BOM says the prophet Nephi has a vision the Bible was CORRUPTED and "plain and precious parts" were removed AFTER the 12 apostles and after the formation of the “great and ABOMINABLE church” (1 Nephi 13:26-29). Nephi claims this church was founded by the DEVIL (1 Nephi 14:3) No other Christian Church believes this. While Christians believe in one God in three persons. Joseph Smith and Brigham Young taught numerous Gods past and future. Joseph smith said: He (Father) was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ Himself did" (King Follett Sermon) Brigham Young made it clear God is a polygamists. "The only men who become Gods, even the sons of Gods are those that enter into polygamy." (Brigham Young) Journal of Discourses 11 p.269 Joseph Smith changed the biblical, eternal God into an evolving, created god, who is not all powerful and is one of an endless number of gods. This is a PROVABLY FALSE claim if you believe the bible. "Before me NO god was formed, nor shall there be ANY after me.” (Isaiah 43:10) If Mormonism is true, then God could not make this claim, for he was just a man at one point; nor could he claim that no gods would come after him, for that is the goal of J.S. and B.Y. Isaiah 44:6 says, "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is NO God." & "Is there any God besides me?.. I know not one". God is saying there is NOT an infinite amount of Gods, and there is none like Him. LDS teaches that there is. In the Bible, Jesus' teachings in Matthew 19:3-6 indicate that monogamy is God's ideal for marriage. In this passage, Jesus quotes from the Genesis creation account, specifically Genesis 1:27 and 2:24, saying, "the two will become one flesh," not more than two. Jesus also said, "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the TWO will become one flesh" in a quote from Genesis 2:24. Jesus criticized polygamy. That is why I ask: What made you believe the bible is corrupted to make a new God that is not eternal, not creator of the Universe and approves of polygamy? You have to believe this if you follow the BOM and it's "prophets" Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. With love I pray for you.

Notice it says “if ADAM had not transgressed…. They would have had no children.” It does not say “if ADAM AND EVE had not fallen…” Eve partook of the fruit first. Eve was going to be kicked out of the garden. Of course they couldn’t have children if Adam is still in the garden and Eve is out. Now because of the transgression of Eve, Adam had to choose whether be with Eve and have kids OR not partake of the tree and be alone again. Which is the better option? Be with Eve and have children. God knew this was going to happen because of man’s imperfections (2 Nephi 2:24) so He prepared ahead of time by choosing a Savior. This does NOT mean God wanted the Fall to happen. I sing in local ward quire. I can't sing in SLC due to Requirements. Jeff doesn't qualify yet, suckers broke the rules to allow Satan's helper sing in the Tab Quire. Jeff knows how to lay a trap. Note: you can't catch a mouse with aluminum foil as bait. You catch a mouse with delightful mouse goodies. Jeff knows he can't catch members being Protestant. Jeff lures members away being deceitful of who he really is and displaying a delightful persona that the Naive fall for.

    Great video. I don’t understand how “mainstream” Christian churches see grace as this “get-out-of-jail-free” card. To them, nothing is required of them personally - Christ fulfilled all the requirements for salvation for us, so we can all be saved by His grace…so long as we profess to believe in this triune version of Jesus. Sounds like a pretty wide and simple path - I can see why it’s popular…put Jesus never taught an easy way. He taught about service, sacrifice, humility, obedience, ordinances, living a higher, holier way. I believe in God, the Eternal Father, in His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. 3 separate, unique personages - the Father and Son having their own separate, glorified and resurrected bodies of flesh and bone, and the Holy Ghost having a spirit body, yet they all 3 are united in purpose as members of the Godhead. Just as in the intercessary prayer, when Jesus prayed to the Father that his chosen apostles could be one, as He and the Father are one. He wasn’t implying somehow morphing the 12 into one mega-apostle with 12 persons in one Apostle, like the 3 persons 1 God trinity…but each united with the will of God in bringing about the immortality and eternal life of man.

    @1:31 I look at this verse in CONTEXT of a church or a denomination..." EZEKIEL 37 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take *the children of Israel from among the heathen,* whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, *and bring them into their own land:* 22And I will make them one nation in the land upon the *mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:* This pertains to JEWS. Are you a Jew gathered from the heathen and brought to your own land. Are you in Israel? (v. 24) And *David my servant shall be king over them;* and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. This is a prophecy of the Millennial Kingdom, NOT the Church. You have taken the verse OUT OF CONTEXT. When was the church divided into the House of Judah and the house of Israel? @2:00 The prophets of the Bible were JEWS, and they were tied to the kings of Israel and Judah. The oracles of God were given to the Jew. In Jesus time you had John the Baptist as the forerunner of the Son of God. The Twelve Apostles were chosen, as was Paul. ROMANS 3:1-2 1What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? 2Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. The foundation of the Church was built on the Apostles and Prophets: EPHESIANS 2:19-20 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 1. Jesus Christ the Cornerstone 2. Foundation of Apostles and Prophets 3. The saints Was the foundation laid with Joseph Smith in 1830? What continuity does he have with the Church Fathers of Matthew, John Mark, Luke, John Zebedee, Paul, James Zebedee, Peter, and Jude? (These men wrote the New Testament) Are we still building a foundation 2000 years later? @4:40 Unity is based on PAUL'S DOCTRINE in his epistles. He talks about faithful stewards: 1 Cor. 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1. The mystery of Godliness: 1 Tim. 3:16 2. The mystery of Christ in you. Col. 1:27 3. mystery of Iniquity. 2 Thess. 2:7 4. mystery of the rapture. 1 Cor. 15:51-52 (hinted at in John 11:24-26) 5. mystery of Israel's blindness. (Rom. 11:25) 6. mystery of the Bride. (Eph. 5:32) 7. mystery of the gospel of the Grace of God. (Rom. 16:25) 8. mystery of the crucifixion. (1 Cor. 2:7-8) 9. mystery of Paul's commission. (Eph. 3:7-9) 10. mystery of the One Body. (Eph. 3:3-6) Col 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; Paul states that heresies must exist to prove what is true: 1 CORINTHIANS 11:18-19 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. 19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. @5:00-5:22 You claim a man cannot go to the Bible as a sole authority as there are hundreds of denominations and they all teach something different? YOUR STATEMENT [I'm just not going to join any of the denominations, I'll just focus exclusively on the Bible and I will be fine.] That is what I did. That is what Timothy did BEFORE he was personally trained by Paul. 2 Timothy 2:13-17: But *evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.* 14But *continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;* 15And that *from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.* *16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:* 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. The Calvinists/Reform churches hold to Calvin's Institutes. The Mormons to the book of Mormon, Doctrines and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. The Jehovah Witnesses to the Watchtower magazine and the New World Translation. The Roman Catholics to the writings of the church fathers, the Apocrypha and the Magisterium. The Jew to the Talmud. Christian Science to Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and Manual of the Mother Church. The Seventh Day Adventists to Steps to Christ, The Desire of Ages and Conflict of the Ages. And various Anti-Paul Cults to the Clementine Recognitions. What do all these "sects" have in common? They added tradition, men's words, and personal revelations from "god" to the scriptures. @8:00 The devil comes out of the bag. Your channel is called, "WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY." Most of what you are saying not only incorrect, but also dangerous. Most of the verses you cite to prove your point are those commonly used to refute it. Look to Paul’s epistles when he criticizes the church for taking pride in whose teachings they follow and points to a single authority, Christ, who is the Word-Made-Flesh. Reliance on anything else, even your “prophets”, is blasphemous.
