This looks like a mission for the Super Hornet pilots from “Top Gun Maverick”. I’d say ‘Hangman’ should lead them.

What i did was, i manually fly the jet to the lowest i can go which was 20ft. Then on the console infront of you select the Autopilot button then go altitude hold.

Great video and mission. Question. How do you keep the F14 from seeing you encounter to WP2? I’m 20ft off the deck with radar off and RWR on and he still sees me and shoots me down every time. Thanks.
Hey, thanks for trying out the mission. I think it was timing + i got lucky i guess. Somehow the Tomcat was circling around not aware of my presence. I did expect him to find & lock me up quickly so the mission gonna be a fun & thrilling to fly. I guess i will tweak the mission a bit. May how far you reach before getting locked on?
@@Rodz88 as soon as I turned to WP2. Looked at it in Tacview and I should have notched left and defeated the phoenix before pressing on. Mission is good. Tomcat spotting you is a good variable. Adds to the pucker factor! 🤪 thanks again!

How are you so steady at low alts?!! I’d be worried to look down or away from the HUD for fear of crashing, I’d have to be the RIO on this type of mission.
Oh, the hornet fly by wire makes it so easy to fly so low, after you settled down around 20 feet above sea / ground like i did, i set it on altitude hold, so i can work hands free off the stick.

from what shitty mil advertisement is the music. I only remember the Animation being very bad.
the whole point of a cinematic is to get your story across using images, not text. You would have been better off writing a book to get this story across, than creating a cinematic. I have been looking a the same image continuously (boring) and just reading the story. Instead of using text to say the SAM sees you, you could have used a close up shot of the RWR. You could have used images of the aircraft blowing up, which you didn't. I can name countless more of these examples. Terrible effort tbh.

@@Rodz88 I would also like to add for realism you should have had a wingman, same with the Tomcat. They wouldn't fly such a mission solo. I also was really hoping to see either some SAM evasion or a dogfight with the Tomcat with the suspense you built up, but neither happened so it was pretty disappointing. Sorry to say.
