Why are you still protestant my brother? I pray the holy spirit opens up your heart more to learn about our catholic faith. :) God bless you and your family!
If you are still protestant then you did not understand St. John of the Cross. Union with God is only possible through the reception of the Eucharist. The Eucharist is necessary for the perfection of the virtues and the growing in fullness of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Without the Eucharist it is not possible to reach the Unitive stage of spiritual development.
St. John of The Cross I love you so much😭 THANK YOU my Dear Heavenly Friend. The Church sleeps on you but you are for sure a most Powerful Intercessor in The Presence of The Eternal Father - especially when it comes to the only things that matter - Heavenly things. I am indebted to you. THANK YOU for choosing to be my Friend! Dr. of Magnanimity, I hope to visit your Earthly House in Spain as soon as God allows it. I wish there was one close by so I could start making arrangements to visit. I will keep searching though. Thank you so much St. John of The Cross, I love you. -Ebele
im a muslim sufi and for long time on the spiritual path for god . And St.John of the Cross is playing a very important role for me no matter if i am a muslim or not . As he is describing myself -what i feel -what i think about the relationship between me and the almighty god . He is/was truly a gift for the humanity.
Wali Khan if you like St. John of the cross, look more into Aquinas. Aquinas was heavily influenced off Islam philosophy, very interesting hearing medieval scholasticism and golden age islam in dialogue
That was excellent. I also recommend for beginners on St. John of the Cross to get Ralph Martin at Renewal Ministries his cd series Transformation in Christ: The Wisdom of St. John of the Cross. He also has great ones on St. Teresa of Avila and Thérèse of Lisieux ,Carmelite saints.
How did that guys say so little yet I understand so much? Wow I have the Sky high Clarity right now seconds into the video. Thank you so much Jesus. I get it now. God bless all. 1 more day... Happy Birthday Jesus.
I also recommend the book by the Carmelite friar, I a i n Matthew, " The Impact of God". Breaks down St. John of the Cross writings in an easy to understand everyday way and how you can apply it to your everyday life
Lord hear Your chosen good People who believe in God Almighty God bless you all brothers and hears your testimony of our St Teresa d'Avila and St John of the Cross
I was researching fire of the holy ghost, for six years and built a massive data base anyways I read every book I can find and laughed so hard when I bought living flame of love in a value bin..... I thought what does a catholic know about fire of the holy ghost. Anyways I wasn't laughing after I read that book it was the most advanced writings I have ever seen in all Christiandom. I started talking about it in Prodestant church and they all looked at me like I'm a green alien
Even as a Protestant I am deeply appreciative of St. John of the Cross. His writings, quite literally, saved my life.

God loves us all unconditionally. Millions of NDEs are testament to that truth, shorn of sanctimony.
Selah.

The picture shows St Paul of the Cross, the founder of the Passionists, not Saint John of the Cross.
What picture are you referring to Jacob? The picture on the right side of the wall of the sanctuary is that of St John of The Cross
@@tonygibson6436 There is a freeze frame that shows him at St Paul of the Cross's tomb. But I see -- it is unrelated.
Very interesting video.
Cool
Is he the spiritual director of St. Teresa of Avila/of the Cross?
I have think St.John of the Cross would hate the tomb it does not represent the man.
You get over expecting everything to represent you at some point. Especially if you become a saint.
If you're detached then a wooden box or a golden casket are equally of no consequence
