I could listen to Josh all day long, such a nice guy and absolutely filled with knowledge and good insights. Great show lads.
Trent at the right of a centre back trio is a rancid idea.
Belter show lads. Lets not forget Trent is only a right back under Jurgen. He has only played under two managers and one of those (Southgate) see’s him as a midfielder. So it is not against the realms of possibility that Amorim see’s him as such.
He’s 100% moving into the midfield
Nice one mate!
He’s far better as a wingback than center midfielder.
@@normanfernee3500 we’ve not seen him enough in the midfield, why make an attacking talent that good defend?
Don’t think he has the legs and physicality to play in a midfield 2 though
Szobo can’t play in the double pivot. He’s perfect for the left side in a 3-4-3 as he does for Hungary where he’s brilliant.
@DomLeer Yh I also think Harvey is actually a better midfielder than him. Szobo is in the team for his athleticism and pressing. I think next season he could probably play further forward
Considering Bajcetic can play CB and DM wouldn’t it make sense to have him in the middle of a back 3 if Amorim likes his middle CB to go forward?
Not dominant enough in the air to sit against a central striker
Great vid guys. Really interesting. Probably more questions than answers at this stage. There are so many different permeatations with our current squad. I don't think anyone major will be sold this summer as Amorim needs to figure out what he has before he can determine who he doesn't need. Matip's going to be released too so a top class CB is probably the only addition we need...if Salah stays that is.
Amorim likes working with youth & he has an abundance of talent to help realise their full potential! Quansah, Elliott & Bradley have all been superb this season. Jones has really come on leaps & bounds the past couple of seasons. Morton & Carvalho are both having excellent seasons on loan at Hull City, whilst Gravenberch will have had a season to fully settle into English football & have a full pre season at the club for the 1st time & Bajectic will hopefully be over his injury concerns. Not forgetting Clark, Mcconnell, Beck etc. He mainly uses a 3-4-2-1 system but may not necessarily use that here. If he chooses to keep TAA at RB inverting into CM still it'll shape a 3 at the back naturally anyway. We'll wait & see what he wants to do that's IF he does agree to be Klopp's sucesser?
At Sporting i ve heard he uses the left wing-back as the more advanced of the two, maybe the most sensible thing with us is to use the right wing back as the more advanced with Trent.. I feel like the solution to Trent is a lot easier than we think. Amorim will just want to allow Trent to play his game at the end of the day, and we all know what Trent's game is. But yeah as for the talent pool Amorim will have at his disposal at Liverpool.. He must be getting excited already!.
What you talking about man quansah elliot Jones and player's like gomez tsimikas are not enough there not aggressive in their tackling or running
@@alejandromate4071 Amorim is not excited, he´s a very humble and racional young coach and at the moment all he wants is win the league and the Portuguese Cup beating some records.
As for the left and right wing-back it all epends of the oponent he´s facing
Sporting CP supporter
Great watch love josh and dan , anyone that hasnt had a look at josh's substack needs too if you like this youll love that
BANGING Substack. Really really enjoying it myself
Really interesting show lads, well done. I like that Dan challenged and offered his own ideas, even though in every case when they disagreed I felt that Dan's ideas were wrong (e.g the idea of converting Jones back into an attacking midfielder), and Josh was right. At the end of the day Josh is the analyst and he is a true student of the game, and Dan is more the presenter who is there to question- so fair enough.
Sometimes a presenter (and this is not just Dan btw) will put forward a crap idea and then feel they have to stand by it.
Thankfully Josh doesn't have the ego aspect of many presenters, and he will back down if a better idea comes forward.
But either way, it was really interesting chat.
Great show and discussion. I honestly don’t think this formation works in our league now….with so many now ramming the midfield with full backs stepping in or in any other way, this formation loses the midfield battle. I think he will have to change for not just the squad but also the league. Higher standard with more midfield control focus is not what he is facing now.
Loved the video! thanks from a huge red fan! I totally agree with the left sided centre back need. I am not sure if I understand one issue correctly. Why is no one talking about a new WC number 6. We seem to have too many number 8s. Gravenberch could be moulded because of his physicality but if you look at the top teams Arsenal have Rice, City have Rodri, we have Endo but for how long? A more dynamic number 6 in the Makelele or Fernandinho mould would be a dream. Finally I'm a huge Mo Salah fan but Edwards might cash him now rather than wait if the right offer came. It would give the new manager a huge opportunity to shape his team. Plus finally I believe Harvey Elliott is special. Give him another year or two and I think we are going to be purring even more. What do you think!? Am I far off?
Amorim will either bring hjmund or ugarte....
Brilliant show. Thanks guys.
Glad you put that rider in at the start. I think and hope Amorim is in the bag, but we're unlikely to get an official confirmation until the season is over. A lot of folk are talking like Amorim is a done deal. He may be, but we need to be patient before we know for sure.
Given Edward’s new position and the fact that FSG will probably be looking at more of a “head coach” role vs a manager who has say in the entire squad make up - wouldn’t it make more sense if the person who gets hired to have had conversation with Edwards/ FSG and for them to have an understanding that they will be adapting their approach to suit our squad make up?
If Liverpool have been playing 433 from academy upwards. I think the new manager will be adjusting his formation to allign with klopps system rather than the other way around
The thing is under Amorim we could play 3 different formations and even switch between them during a match with the players we already have. Let's just say our best XI is Ali, TAA, Konate, VVD, Robbo, Endo, Szob, Mac, Salah, Nunez, Diaz. There's your 433 and let's say we start a match in that shape. Trent can invert to make it a 343 box midfield system. And if we want to make it a 343 wing back system from the 433, have Endo drop back into defence and push Trent and Robbo forward a bit(so a back 3 of Konate, Endo and VVD with a 4 of Trent, Szob, Mac and Robbo). The point is we already have a lot of versatile players. Tactically we're quite flexible which is a testament to Klopp's vision and work.
Whatever formation Amorim uses I hope he recognises the talent we have in central/attacking midfield and finds ways to utilise them(for example maybe sometimes tweaking his 343 WB formation to use 2x10's in the front 3 instead of wingers/wide forwards). We've so much talent there it'd be a crime to have 8 players fighting for 2 positions. And players like Jones, Elliott and Gravenberch wouldn't be suited to a double pivot imo. Not to mention I don't think it'd be a good idea to play PL football with a 2 man midfield. And the thought of playing with 5 defenders doesn't fill me with a whole lot of excitement tbh.
I seem to be a lone voice saying this. I fear this appointment
@DomLeer Yeah I pretty much fully agree with you. I'm not a fan of the 343WB formation, I don't really like the idea of 3 CB's and just one man on both flanks. It was all the rage in the 90's and still is in Europe, but like you say it gets exposed in the PL. Remember us utilising that system in 2014/2015 under Rodgers? When the wheels came off they flew off.
I am a fan of the box midfield though, the way City implement it. But it works for them because technically they're superb and they play at a low tempo with the aim of retaining possession and waiting patiently for the opening. They don't counter attack at all. So their way of playing it minimises the risk of turnovers and getting countered. We're not like that at all, we're all high tempo and impatient looking to force the opening while being less technically gifted. Too often it leads to turnovers and us getting countered for fun. The box system for us is just too chaotic imo, especially against the better sides.
And yeah I agree, if it ain't broke don't fix it. A bit of investment, possibly a CB and another midfielder and we should be good for a title challenge next season.
@DomLeer Yeah I agree with you. As great as City are there are times when they engage in self-indulgent nonsense. Walking football. Keeping possession just for the sake of it. It's a hallmark of Guardiola. I remember countless times his Barca and Bayern teams would carry on like that away from home in the CL, effectively trying to walk the ball into the net. Puke football and no need for it. His teams sometimes bore you to tears; there's no need to play at a 3/10 tempo refusing to go for the kill. But in saying that, when his teams raise it like Barca did and City did last Spring en route to the treble? There are few teams better in the history of the game.
You're right about us being able to retain the ball better than ever. We now have the midfield to finally do that. It's just Klopp's tactics and instructions telling them to pass at high speed and pass into space and run that overrides what they could do in a technical sense. I love our football too, but sometimes I just wish we dialled down the intensity a bit and became more of a controlling team so we tire other teams out a bit more rather than losing the ball and go chasing. Just 20% or so.
And the finishing has been poor among the forwards all season. They've missed a volume of chances. Nunez just doesn't have elite intelligence or composure, Diaz is great at everything except finishing, Gakpo lacks a bit of quality and heart, Salah is ageing and potentially on the decline and Jota is a killer but injury prone. We may have to revisit that area in the summer and Victor may be the man for us. But I definitely think we need another CB. Matip has been great for us but he's 33 coming off an ACL injury. With Ibou being so brittle, Quansah being a kid and Gomez being more of a full back now, I think we need another. And one who's in their prime and robust, i.e. can play 3 games a week.
I hope so. The 3-4-3 adds an extra CB which in turn makes several (young) central midfielders, near redundant. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
No obvious position in the 3-4-3 for the likes of Jones, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch etc, before you even get to the Trent conundrum. That is a lot of potential that will go by the wayside in the 3-4-3.
Josh is wicked. Smart, good analysis and seems like a good bloke! More content from Josh pls
His Substack is proper
Love these type of analysis shows...any chance of doing a deeper dive into Sportings Tactics?
Actually excited to go to back 3.
Trent at RWB is perfect , having cover for him in behind.
He can go on the outside get the crosses in and come inside , let Salah go back to outside rotations.
Exciting times some squad for any top coach to come into
I have to disagree with this formation being suited - heres why:
Far too many central midfielders and forwards to fit and keep happy, thats without Trent potentially moving into the middle.
I just cant see how this works. The defence i can see because were due a reshuffle here but the fact we did a reshuffle in the middle last summer seems bizzare to me that FSG allow this to happen, when it will likely upset the team cohesion, new signings and whether they want to leave or not could be a situation where they stay due to pay and whether they get the same deal elsewhere, feels like a bad suit to me. FSG dont give you money unless you sell, so it could be a big problem keeping all these players happy.
Endo, mac, sob, trent in mid. If your not excited to see that then your boring, its been 7 years of the same style and formation.
@@junioradult6219 I'm boring okay, I'm not a casual like you. The formation causes more problems - it's my opinion, don't let that twist your knickers kid.
It's been 7 years of fantastic football, in a fantastic system 🙄🤡
Yeah, you're right. Just leave Amorim where he is.
@@antwan37 I'm not saying that, it's more about the formation he deploys, if he comes and doesn't play that formation or is more open.minded and fluid in his approach then I am happy for him to come, it's just he uses this formation which I can't see working as I said above.
Really good show. Enjoyed it. But it confirmed to me my thoughts. Any 3 at the back system isn’t a natural fit to the current squad and doesn’t maximise the strengths of the squad imo. I like the look of Amorim but hope he would tweak his tactics.
My concerns. Wing backs in this system are really offensive, more like wingers. I’d say that only suits Bradley in the squad. Definitely not Trent. I don’t think it suits Robbo either.
One of our biggest strengths is our midfield strength, but a holding two doesn’t utilise that. Imo only Mac, endo, bajetic are well suited. Dom, Jones could possibly do but not a natural fit imo. Gravenberch/Elliot it doesn’t suit imo.
Then In the forward positions, our biggest strength has been our 5 forwards into 3 and the goal threat. I’m not so convinced on Salah playing inside. Diaz/jota I don’t think it suits. Then you are putting pressure on Nunez as the 9 which I’m not sure about.
For me a 3 at the back system really doesn’t utilise the existing squad at all. Alternatively think about any 4 at back shape, 433, 4222, and you have so many options
This season is killing me but I love it. There is no team on the planet more exciting to support right now. It may all end in tears but what a hell of a journey.
Klopp has been amazing and we need to enjoy his last couple of months but it's hard not to think about his successor...
I think I'm all in on Amorim but that's possibly cos there's a very short list of viable alternatives. He seems the best option but we can't not worry if his style if football will suit the EPL and the current squad (as good as it is) doesn't really fit that great imo.
We will need to give him time and if it doesn't click straight away remember/ ask who out there could do better/ handle the job?
Centre back and someone clinical in front of goal. The way jota plays he will always pick up injuries. Great show.
I have a feeling that Trent will take Thiagos spot when he moves on and be a backup right back.... Jo Gomez might return to being a center back and be a backup right back as well
do you mean Trent will spend most of his time in the infirmary? 🤔
@@TeZapeo 🤣🤣🤣🤣 no, I mean the allocation of a mid fielder
Why is everyone so adamant that Amorim will play 3 at the back? He currently plays the 343 formation at sporting as it suits the current sporting squad. The Liverpool squad does not suit 3 at the back formation. We will continue to play in transition with 3 at the back but we won’t be playing 3 cbs.
Has he ever not played 3 at the back? From what I heard he’s literally always played it, so why would you assume he would change now.
@@marcusbkhonestly couldn’t tell you but what I’m saying is he will now have much higher quality of players to play with and our current squad is not built to play with 3 cbs. I cant see it happening, surely he will want to make use of our depth of midfielders and attackers
I really hope he adopts a system that can include Curtis and Harvey, but 1st choice has to be Mac and Dom, I think they will be options and there will be times where you need something different so fingers crossed, exciting times indeed
I'm not necessarily sure he comes in and changes things entirely in terms of formation, however, if he does and Salah goes (with the money being mentioned, it's hard to look past it) then I think Szobo is the ideal player to step in to take that right sided forward in that position. It means we could sign another forward who is more fluid and not exactly a Salah replacement along with the left sided centre back. I do think Trent as the right centre half in a 3 would actually work really well in him being able to step in a have the whole pitch in front of him to create.
Szobo plays as left winger in Hungary national, and I think he played on the left in Leipzig too.
Diaz has amazing work rate and attitude. Wing back entirely possible
We have been trying play 3 4 3 anyway with Robbo as lcb abs trent further forward, I don't see any issue with 343 except the left wingback role, I could see Diaz or a new signing like adringa plays that role
0:50 start
It's obvious to me that Liverpool have built a solid 433 team for the last ten years. There's a recruitment and style there that has proven success. Why change it by changing manager? The club may have to make so many changes that it sets them backwards. The current squad is not a 343 squad. It is miles away from it. Amorim could be a disaster. Prefer Ange Postecogly, a 433 guy.
Levels on the mics are peaking.
u say Amorim has a WingBk that cuts in+Inverts, i tink Elliot is that option 4us then at rwb crazily enough, he has bags of energy, will get up & down..already holds the width 4us on righthandside to let Salah move closer to the box when he gets subbed on in games..id sell tsimikas & got Nouri, he is so technical, cud b like a grimaldo 4us, then keep robbo as your energetic overlapper..bradley b energetic overlapper on otherside..nice balance either side with both options..Gravenberch deffo biggest square peg in this new system..techy lwb & left footed cbk most needed 4me in Summer
Liverpool’s midfielders:
Gravenberch, Jones, Szoboszlai, Clark, Mac Allister, Elliott, Endo, Bajcetic, Morton, McConnel, Carvalho +/- Trent
Liverpool have 11 midfielders to fit into a 2-man midfield with the Amorim formation of 343. This formation is maybe ruining our development this year to develop a well rounded midfield with collective quality
Amorim builds out from the back using a 2422 structure and vertical lines. Alonso has taught his team to avoid standing in a vertical line so players do not have their back to goal and instead uses a strategy of diagonality. If we want to remain at the top, it's small details like this why the top clubs are top. Amorim maybe needs help for these small details like Klopp has had in Buvac, Krawietz, Ljinders. Sporting lost 5-0 to City before they sold their good players like Nunes, Ugarte, Palphinha.
Jurgen Klopp came to Liverpool and adapted TWICE tactically from his famous 4-2-3-1 in Dortmund. We had one 433 tactical system now we have a new 433 tactical system. It's critical for Amorim to not come in with a dictatorship style but adapt to our squad.
In super tactical detail:
Amorim wants his creative double pivot midfielder to have 50-60 touches to have half of what he should be having. And Mac Allister said himself his best position is at 10. He has the number 10 shirt. He didn’t sign for United because he’d be played alongside Casemiro with Fernandes ahead and he wanted Liverpool because he could play as a 10 his father talked about this. In a 433 he can rotate with Szoboszlai with who is higher up and who is deeper. Being a creative double pivot is better suited to Trent because the number of touches the double pivot at Sporting plays is 50-60 which is low and half of what say a De Bruyne has. Mac Allister would defo want more touches but Amorim wants that position to quickly progress the ball with few touches with the creative double pivot in his formation, but looks like the defenders get even more touches when midfielders are best suited in their DNA to have the most touches moving the ball around by dribbling and passing.
Only Elliott really would work as a hybrid wide / inside forward CAM but Salah’s there, not even Carvalho because he doesn’t like playing wide at all as it’s a hybrid wide / 10 role. And Szobo’s best position is in the RCM role in that no. 8 shirt which Klopp identified and changed and he’s galactico level there. Moving him back to an inside forward CAM is a downgrade, as Szobo is a complete midfielder. If playing Elliott Salah rotation you’d then rotate a winger with a hybrid inside forward CAM on the other side, so whenever Salah starts it would maybe be ruling out Diaz, whenever Elliott starts it rules out Salah ….. and this is all reliant on a left wing back or right back playing wide and high. Let’s be honest we know Trent doesn’t want to spend the rest of his career out on the right especially far right width if Salah or Elliott are there, Trent wants to play central… and even if he accepts a more central RWB role it means the right side Salah or Elliott will have to play out wider which neither want….. and with Amorim’s formation we would only play with 2 forwards rather than 3…
And we need a manager to come in who can play Trent centrally. Again do you think Trent wants to be that wing back out as far right as possible pushing very high up the field? Nope. Also what players actually want to be wing backs ? no elite level club use wing backs and using wing backs plus a back 3 takes away our midfielders in the centre that WE HAVE at Liverpool.. our midfield players could well leave like Jones who is very good and Arsenal want. He should start over Mainoo for England or rotate with him at least
Right now we can easily rotate 11 midfielders into a midfield 3 and that’s what all top teams currently utilise, 433 or 4141 or 4231 even. No CL semi final level team in Europe uses a back 3. Defending with a back 5 in a 523 is ridiculous for a top level European team? Amorim has to be flexible and not rigid if he comes to Liverpool and adapt to the squad to some degree. He can’t come in and say “this player fits my system, he stays and this player doesn’t, he changes or goes”
343 is a formation where we will use defenders over the midfielders to pass the ball around in the middle. Midfielders are naturally the best players with the ball to be in possession and creative in the middle ? But the defenders of amorim are so involved! e.g. you want Kroos Casemiro Modric or Busquets Iniesta Xavi being the ones passing the ball around not defenders ? Coates goes into the midfield at sporting come on .... ?
Klopp has done so well to bring in 11 midfielders all young bar Endo and a culture of rotation in the middle of the park providing depth and protection against crazy schedules players have. Amorim utilising 343 at Liverpool is a mistake. He just can’t be rigid latin like that.
Everything for me about Amorim which isn’t football related can fit Liverpool well but the priority is football as we can see is the problem at Manchester United. This = players + tactics. We have the players plus culture, structure, staff, stadium, academy, infrastructure. We just need a good tactician who understands football very well
We need to realise the management of the club didn’t have plans in place for post Klopp and with the unexpected announcement of Klopp to leave, no-one in the club clearly is / was prepared for post Klopp. If we had some targets lined up it would have been the situation to just bring them in earlier. Everything right now is damage control. Klopp’s character and work at the club we were just all in love with thinking only in the moment and the club wasn’t thinking about anything other than Klopp, and wasn’t prepared for the future
IF Amorim comes in and IS flexible it will be the ideal scenario. A stroke of luck.
It's hard to take but continuing with the 343 in the premier league and our squad, that is a mid division football style for teams that don’t have dominance and quality in the middle, who look to get 7th or 8th. We all need to band together as fans and push for Amorim to not go to 343.
Bro ain’t nobody reading this book!!!
Longest comment I’ve ever seen. I’ll have to come back to it.
That was a fantastic analysis of what's to be. Better than tv pundits
Start a CZcams channel explaining tactics. I'm often lost and can't follow these details during matches. Would be great for a solid channel to undertake explaining this stuff to idiots like myself. Your name seems suited for it as well.
cool but everything you said is wrong.
vertical play isnt inherently bad at the top level. brighton does it. bayern have done it alot. amorim plays with 2 6s and 2 10s. 4 midfielders or repurposed wingers. 4, not 2. inter play 3atb and is a cl winner quality side. chelsea did the pl. half our midfielders can do what you say only elliot can do. amorim moulded a role specifically for matheus nunes, to do exactly what gravenberch does for us today. given the quality of our centerbacks and the fact that amorim shifts one of them into midfield for buildup, there is no reason why trent will not be given that quarterback role.
I want to see the 433 on defense and then Trent inverts as a CDM . I love the back 3 but I think back 4 is always necessary. I love Nunez but I would love to see an false 9 with the 343 attack also
Alisson
Konate Van Dijk Gomez (this should be Inacio haha)
Trent Szobo Mac10 Robbo
Salah Nunez Diaz
This is probably the 11. Jota, Gakpo, Harvey are your rotation options up top but I'd look to strengthen this. Endo, Baj, Jones and Grav are rotation for the pivot. Bradley and Tsimi rotation for wingbacks, and Gomez and Quansah will be the backup CBs. If Trent really wants to be in the double pivot, then I would do Trent and Mac10 as the pivot, play Szobo as the left playmaker and then Diaz becomes rotation there, but if this happens we will probably sell a midfielder
You have no dm in that lineup. Just saying
@@junioradult6219 True, but I think with the three CBs it could be a lineup we use for games we should dominate. I think he actually goes Endo and Mac10 and plays Szobo where Diaz is similar to how Pedro Gonsalves does.
Liverpool playing with 5 defenders?
@@Timaldo8 Amorim plays with 3 CBs and 2 wingbacks, so yes lol
Where's Dan and Chloe's caps from? I found the place before but have forgotten it
Threads for Reds mate
Yeah that system isn’t going to work with our squad.
You.dont have a clue. You run off emojions like a .....
In old language, Trent might end up playing as the 'sweeper' in a back 3 under Amorim, akin to Mattheus for Germany.
I'm not convinced..... One of his hero's is Mourinho. Loved him so much went and spent time watching training at United. In a poor league, different formation to what we use now which means all levels (U18, U21 etc will all have to change)
The team we have now under Klopp has Endo in a 6 sometimes coming back in between Ibou and Virg to get the ball.
How about Ibou Endo and Virg in your back 3
Bradley Trent Macca and a new left wing back
Then your front 3
Not feeling this. I need time I guess.
I was all in for Alonso or Nagelsman
I’d think maybe a 3-5-2 system with jota and Nunez upfront and mid as dom Mac and maybe endo or trent
I’d go nunez and salah up top, salah is getting old and I don’t think he can be that winger any longer.see him more of that creative striker now who can get goals and assists.personally I’d go
Nunez. Salah
Szobo
Diaz. Macallister. Trent Frimpong
Inacio. VVD. Konate
Alisson
This only works if Trent can adapt to a cdm role which I doubt
Thoughts on curtis playing the inverting lwb (as we’ve already seen he’s capable at fullback), and also endo playing in the back line
Idk how he’s gonna set up but I think it’s time we start Trent in midfield.
Endo
Trent mac allister
That midfield would be a cheat code
Forgetting Jones, when fit he was our most important mid. Trent is playing RWB in this system.
@@ajcampbell79 Jones is incredible but he is not better than mac allister or Trent. Like they said in the vid Trent is not best used as an up and down RB, he’s always meant to be a playmaker, just get him on the ball as much as possible. Also why would you make a talent like that defend?
@@Do27gg I assume the same reason he's always been there, this way you get all three on the field. Although from the looks of this show it sounds like Dom is more likely if Jones' goal threat isn't as high?
@@ajcampbell79 well the reason he was a rb was because that’s the position he played when he came into the team and he just did so well he’s now seen as a RB. He was a midfielder all through the academy and he said it himself he prefers playing midfield so I doubt he won’t at least push back on being asked to play rb next season
TOP VALUE boys👊🏾
I want new tactics and new formation. So i am excited about this new manager.
I have one and only one dream with any new coach to take over liverpool .wich is to keep Thiago and unleash him .we've got a diamond in our squad but unfortunatly klopp couldn't find the best way or the system to make the magicien thrive in it.
The physical klopp system will come to an end with the new coach .where Thiago could do his magic like he did in Bavaria and catalonia the technical way not the physical of klopp.
I really dream of watching a duality of Macca and Thiago or even macca-thiago-Trent arnold
We need to give thiago a new and real opportunity.
It'll be no surprise at all if Michael Edwards and the team take on a manager that no-one is expecting. It's not 100% certain that Amorim is coming to us.
If Trent stays could see being played as a right center back alongside Virgil and Konate but he wouldnt being playing they most of the time instead drifting in to midfield to support Szoboszlai and Mac
Amorim could reinvent players into different positions. Hope supporters will be patient with Amorim, if he comes
Out
Gravenberch
Thiago
Matip
Salah
Bench
Endo
Bacjectic
Curtis
Elliot
Potential in
Alan varela
Koopmeiners
Ait Nouri
Inacio
Hincapie
I could see endo dropping into a center back role
Yea he can play that role also rb if needed
This sounds like nonsense Liverpool and wing backs just doesn’t sound right to me. Why would we want so many defenders on the pitch.
with this system I would honestly not be that much against selling Salah and Diaz, we got a lot of midfielders and central attacking players who fit much better here and could use the game time, we could then invest the money into a left-sided CB, Inacio for example, we could be looking at a new left wing-back, potentially a right wing-back cause if Trent wont play there we only got Bradley unless Ramsay impresses, so getting 80-100m for each would be very much worth it
Four midfielders
Jones Macalister Bajcetic/Endo Elliott/Szobozlai. as someone pointed out Szobozlai hasn't played particularly well since before Christmas and Elliott keeps getting better. Jones keeps getting better
The problem is not him.he came here as a genius and he still is.The role he plays here now is the problem, maybe the training.Do they train him properly if he is not his best?????(at home he is immediately genius again.how come?)
Thought Dan was brilliant today filling in for Chris
Ta mate ❤
Edwards being a stats man makes me think Nunez time at the club is up
Szobo is NOT a good fit for the double pivot!! However, that may well be where Trent gets played alongside any of Macca, Endo, Gravenberch or Jones depending on opposition, fitness and form...
Apparently Amorim is a done deal.
Good, as someone who lived in Lisbon until last year, I really came to enjoy what he is about, and think his attacking instincts will sit well with Liverpool in the immediate post-Klopp era.
According to James Pearce of the Athletic, it's not a done deal. Officials from LFC have denied all reports.

According to Sky Germany. It's all media lies and spin at present.
Lads I can see Endo playing CB and being that central figure during the buildup. If Salah goes then I see Elliott and Dom playing the right side. Also, if Diaz stays then he can play LWB.
Robertson is a bad defender, he's top tier going forward but he's lost all confidence defensively since the system changed. He seems to be afraid to make a tackle and just backs off letting the winger have a free cross on most occasions.
Can change. Vvd had the exact same issue for a while when he came back from injury
....you didn't mention Konate at all
Let amorims keep the same formation as klopp does and see how we get on first
Its been 7 strait years. About time for a change
Whats going to happen with the futures of Salah,Van Dyke and Trent will they be at anfield next season?
This would be my 3-4-3:
Ali
Ibu VVD Inacio*
TAA Endo
Szobo Mac Allister
Salah* Diaz
Nunez
*Im hoping Inacio is a viable incoming along with Amorim
*Harvey needs to be the long-term replacement for Salah on that inside right
While I agree with the premise here, Salah's replacement can't be Elliott, he is ineffective as a RW, even in an Amorim system. He isn't fast or physical enough
great content, we need a better 9, we’ve already seen this season Nunez struggle technically, besides running fast he’s a poor dribbler, poor in confined spaces technically and interlinking play, low IQ.. the 9 under Amorim is even more isolated and all around tested ability wise
I never want to hear someone talk about Trent at RCB every again. Great show otherwise
Trent in the double pivot 6 with Mac or Endo.
I can see Trent leaving to Real Madrid, Bradley being main rwb, we sign Ait nouri for the lwb with robbo slowly coming to the end and he goes back up to Scotland in a year or two
Let’s bring back Rob Jones and Mcateer!
Kieran Tierney is the left centre back for Scotland not Robertson
Elliott's staying partly because of his work ethic.
Disagree about Endo, perfect sitting next to MacAl playing as double pivot
According to my son, this will be the lineup:
Allison
Konate VVD Quansah
Trent Robbo
Maca Endo
Jotta Nunez Salah
Endo can probably play CB.
So do you think Robbo is gone under the new guy because he will not sit on the bench as he would lose the captaincy of scotland.
Jones is first out the door. No room for sentiment.
I really don't like way Amorim plays, think Dezerbi style suits us much better. Feel people's hearts swayed on Amorim coz of his looks personality and better English. Hope I'm wrong but can't see 3 at the back working for us.
With how erratic Nunez is, y’all trust him too much.
Every single CZcams channel is saying he’s going to come and play his formation. I think he’s going to look at the squad and play a formation that suits it. Exactly what Klopp did. He went from his 4231 to a 433 because of the squad.
Abel ferreira is the one we should be going for
it will be turbulent times
Good luck playing that system against any top half premier league team, they'll have an extra man in midfield with us now losing a man
Edwards and Amorim will be bad news for us.
You don’t think that Amorim can adapt his system to Liverpool’s players?
Who knows, Amorim might change his set up, coming into the premier league. Time will tell?
All this chat, is assuming his formation is set in. The premier league vbieing so strong, he may adjust his set up a little
Left sided cb + robust mobile dm at the bare minimum+ forward/winger
Sold robbo, matip Thiago, diaz +Salah at the right price??
Now I'm hearing that he's hasn't being offered the job yet i don't if that's a good or bad
I really don't want Carvalho back at the club. He's nowhere near good enough.
And did you rate Elliot from day one?
Name a top and successful club that plays 3 at the back! None
I think Trent will go to Real Madrid. I don't think he fits in Amorim team
Whats stopping Endo being the man in the middle of the back 3
About 1 foot of height😊
@@dbassplayer9415 Tell that to Martinez and Mascherano
@@ThatRyRyGuy Mascherano played defensive midfielder 99% of the time. Martinez is shite
@@dbassplayer9415 He was literally a centre back for Barca
@@ThatRyRyGuy more Aerial duels and bigger player in the EPL
3 4 3 defensive style for sure, those players who have been there a long time will find it hard to adapt from Klopp's full on pressing style, yawn continental football coming.
Elliot is better than Grealish now!
No way should we let him go
what are you talking about amorim for he"s not even here
I was listening sky sports saying he hasn't being offered the job I be worried if he didn't take job
Its either going to be very good or very shit
Dans mic sounds terrible
Wing backs and Liverpool 😂😂😂
Nunez Jota Salah
Diaz Szob Endo Macca Trent
Ignacio Virgil Konate
