The "kiss of death" at 6:12 was actually edited out in the original TV broadcast on Cartoon Network. I guess it was a little too much for a kids' cartoon channel, haha. In the TV edit it just showed her pulling the clone towards her and then cut to his body falling to the floor.
The battle of Kamino also brought the zero class ARC troopers out for the first time. these troopers are the first batch of clones ever produced. they were trained differently with more mandolorian training than clone training and are well versed in all weapons. they also have somewhat less stable personalities as the later batches were more modified. The troopers were also slightly modified to handle torture easily and be tough as rocks and very hard to kill. The zero class was usually were deployed to very contested worlds and were given very specific missions of assassination or taking out high ranking leaders or taking out certain posts. they were rarely ever seen as they were supposed to be a black ops squad.
Press F to never forget Ninety-Nine. This won’t be the last time you see Echo and Fives. Also are we gonna talk about Kenobi making a very rapid ascent to the surface and not getting the bends?
This was certainly a 'meat' episode. You two are getting closer to a seismic shift in these episodes. Since there are two episodes per week it will take a couple to get to several back to back major arcs coming your way. I wished there were three per week but I will keep cultivating patience! Just. A. Little...bit...more!!!!! 😁
I love seeing the journey of Fives and Echo. From Rookies who struggled to complete their training, to official members of the 501st Legion under Captain Rex, to now ARC troopers, some of the most elite Clones in the army. I love them both so much.

i tolde YOU .. u already can see how much speed and action this show is picking up now.. the first 2 seasons are more like an introduction .. now its starting and it will blow you away . and SHE will cry hard . even kenny will shed a tear .. i kid u not .
As much as I like Clone Wars, I do prefer Rebels. HOWEVER, it never reaches the highest highs this series gets to, and this is such an episode. Perhaps the best stand-alone episode of the series, its outstanding on all fronts, action, boss moments, emotion, set-pieces and every one of the main characters are given time to have their moments. I agree that Ventress steals it though, she's the definition of the femme fatale here, and that moment of such evil where she impales the clone on her lightsabre and kissing him as he dies, is fantastic, its so over the top and brilliant. RIP 99, your sacrifice gets remembered.
You guys should definitely check out the 2003 animated Clone Wars series. It's everything good about TCW and then some. It's by the same guy who made Samurai Jack whose name I can't spell.
