The balls of steel that Clone had to just grab the container from Ventress pulling it.
I also love how that clone momentarily looks back to see if he got properly backed up.
So badass

Dammit, you cut out Anakin's best line in the entire episode!
Ventress: I suppose you expect me to surrender...
Anakin: Actually, I plan to let the Clones execute you, right now!
absolutely

@@99thJediWarrior *Anakin rolls a 3; loses 75 Dark Side Points*
Damn, that's such a Darth Vader line :D
Ah yeah it's the battle of kamino. Oh yeah it's.... this episode....

There is so much to love in this episode. The space battle, the lightsaber fights, the clones defending the barricks, that creature saving Obi-Wan twice. So good. RIP 99.
The almost sexual way Obi Wan always talks to grievous
@@DarthCaedus7 Grievous had a crush on kenobi he was in denial about all that time.
when Eric tears up, I do too
We all did
Rip 99
I saw him and only thought: " I feel you man."
We all do
😭RIP 99
Yesssss
99 is a legend. I’ll never forget him til death
Would upvote, but it'd ruin everything. In case some plonker decides to bugger it all up, that comment currently has 99 upvotes at time of typing.
No one will forget him or the rookies
You'll remember him after death
We need to get it to 199 now
He’ll be honored by Clone Force 99.
The Bad Batch.

that trooper deserves a reward for that catch !
Yoink! Denied!
8:50 that moment when Eric starts tearing up because he knows the outcome of this scene 😭😂😔
This episode reminds me of the story’s of production for the clone wars, where filoni would go over budget for some episodes and George would fill the remainder with money from his pocket, I feel like this was one of those episodes. There’s just so much high quality content in this episode from the space battle at the beginning to the light sabre battles and the amazing stories with the clones.
The fight choreography between two actual humanoids is part of why it's always such a treat when they show Dooku actually having to fight with his lightsaber, rare as that actually is. The amount of work they put into his fighting style, with the one-handed fencing moves and the elegant way he weaves and dodges oncoming attacks, it's just so damn fun to watch.
It's a loooong ways away, but I can't wait until we get to one of my favorite Dooku moments in the show. "Sometimes, things are just *that* important."
@@elliotkouame3849 I told you everything you needed to know in that room on Geonosis.
99 was a a true soldier
Eric getting emotional over 99. Never change, guys, never change.
Shaak Ti is my favorite character. What I love about what they've done with her character is that every episode she's featured in is completely focused on the Clones. She is truely Clone Mother. And there is more of her to come 😁 (which means, more compeling Clone narrative) ❤
I’ve been waiting a long time for this...
Me tooo!
Screen Riders Ha ha ha😆
... Majestic Tragedy
I'm just really happy that this confirms that they are watching the uncensored episodes. It's just way more impactful.
Lorenz Weber you can tell on the episode rookies too. For reruns on Cartoon Network they used the censored version that they just cut the word hell out of. It was present on their video
99 forever.
Still havent seen even one of my top 20 episodes but these r getting better
same bro
Definitely. Can't wait for them to get to mid-season 3 and further.
@@todo3602 I I am hyped for whole chosen one arc...my favorite in the whole series or the ahsoka arc.
For the Love of Film, I find it interesting that you typed out "one" instead of "1" but you typed "r" instead of typing out "are".
I remember watching this episode air live. 99's death was the first time a tv show truly made me feel sad for the death of a character
2:34 - That was an ARC 170 Starfighter, like the ones in Revenge of the Sith, not a Klingon Bird-of-Prey. Granted I did look and from an angle, there was a minor similarity.
I feel like this episode is the official point where the show enters the territory of greatness.
This episode is DEFINITELY in the top 5 clone wars episodes. Also can we get an F for 99, Colt, and Havoc?

Even though I know he briefly appears but I can never manage to spot Hammer

An awesome episode! Truly an example of how amazing Clone Wars really is. As for General Grievous fleeing most battles, think about it - what chance does he have against the Force? He usually wins against Kenobi in a saber-to-saber combat but the moment anyone uses the Force against him there is pretty much no real way he could win. At least not without cheating.
This has to be one of my favourite episodes of Clone Wars, it's just so well made, great story and action. Love the clones. 99 is a true hero!
6:23 I cried the first time I watched that moment as well
It was that cry of "99 no!" from echo when 99 took the first hit to the leg, that with the score hit me right in the feels
10:12 The 99 death scene is great and all, but that’s definitely _my_ favourite moment in this episode.

It really shows how clones aren't just lifeless beings in an armor. They really have a soul.
Me: "Star Wars."
Eric: Cries
10:12 the clone who inderectly saved the repuplic
99...thank you for your service!
5:59 I remember watching the premiere of this as a kid and it definitely freaked me out a bit. It was one of my favorite arcs regardless. Hit me pretty hard seeing 99's death even though as a kid, I still barely comprehended death.
I remember watching this episode when it came out as a kid and I cried when 99 died... feels sad man.
My favorite arc in this show is the Rookies character arc throughout the course of the show.
Finally, the guys are up to one of my top favourite episodes of this show.
Rest In Peace to the muthafucking OG Clone Trooper 99. A man who wanted to be like the rest of his brothers, a soldier, and was sent to maintenance instead. Little did he know his brothers saw him as one of their own and made him a soldier when their home was under attack. And he went out as a soldier. Can’t do better than that for a character arc boys and girls.
99 will always be one of my favorite clone wars characters. R.I.P
Man i love seeing Rick and Calvin enjoy these episodes
I´m a soldier like you!
-99.
99 was the man. I love the focus this show puts on the clones and many of their own personal motivations. Its so well done.
The thing that I find so beautifully heartbreaking about 99 is the fact that he died at quite possibly the happiest point of his life. It’s always been a subtle depth to 99 that as wonderful and positive as he is, there’s also a deep sadness because even though he couldn’t physically fight, that desire and purpose for war was still encoded into his soul. His entire life he craved the fight he was bred for and was denied, so serving during the battle of kamino would have been the most joy he ever experienced, a cathartic joy of finally fulfilling his purpose, before meeting a glorious, soldiers end like a Viking entering Valhalla. Truly the purest warrior spirit of any clone.
My favorite story of the Arc Troopers from Legends is the fact that they were scheduled for termination because of how independent they were. The Kaminoans thought they were too dangerous. But a Mandalorian instructor named Kal Skirata basically adopted the ARC troopers when he answered the recruiting call by Jango Fett to go be an instructor to train the clones.
I'm not sure if he made it into Canon, but he is also the one who trained Clone Commando squads.
Does the last scene with the clones remind anyone of Band of Brothers with that music?
I've seen it, and I watch anime too. Lol!
That’s exactly what I was thinking when I watched that scene!
I love how even the higher up ARCs recognize 99 and that he is a national treasure
Eric legit crying for 99 shows how tragic his death was
Poor 99... atleast he went out a solider. SALUTE FOR A MAN!😤😭
In season 1 episode 5: Rookies, I still love on how Hevy made that great sacrifice and giving off a badass one-liner. And I love on how 99 is best friends with Hevy and besides he had his medal to remember him.
2:43 It's great to see the youthful glee you guys exude when recognizing ships that look like other shows ships. You can tell how much you enjoy your work in terms of bringing us content. I wish everyone was able to work in such environments. 😂🤣😂🤣😂 You bring out the kid in me.😊👍👍🏾
2:20
99: "I beg you, bold clone, to permit me, to redeem... my father's name. By serving with you... in combat! My brother trained me, to feel no fear, to make blaster, and armour, and grenade, as much a part of me as my own beating heart! I will earn my brother's armour, noble clone, by serving with you, in the battle!" *Fires blaster, instantly headshots a training droid.*
Echo: "A fine shot..."
99: "I will scrap many clankers."
Echo: "Raise your blaster..." *99 looks at Echo apprehensively.* "Raise your blaster as high as you can..."
Mitchell Hayward Nice 300 reface
Wondered how the conversation between Grievous and Ventress went on the escape ship?
Grievous: "So, how was your mission?"
Ventress: "Not my best but still better than most of yours"
Grievous thinking of 2003: "AAAAAGH!"
I've said it before and I'll say it again, we NEED a figure of 99
Now that I've found this I'm gonna have to watch all 49 just so I can enjoy my favorite childhood show with someone again.
You'r strong men. I mean ive watch the show 3 times now and even watching clip of this episode made me cry every time😭
I love seeing the prototype Phase 2 armor on the ARC Troopers. Can see that there was an actual evolution rather than just all of a sudden they have Phase 2's.
99 might have been a defect in the eyes of some, but he will forever be know as a hero to everyone else
99 was the strongest of all his brothers.
I was at kemino when 99 died sweet man he was the strongest trooper out of us all

Eric's face when he remembers what scene that is
I already saw this on Patreon, but screw it I’ll watch it again cause it’s so good.
(1:30) *Calvin* - _"Jango was a Mandalorian, right?"_
*Eric* - _"Yes and no."_
I'd like to know what Eric's criteria for the possible _yes_ aspect was.
*Obi-Wan Kenobi* - _"I recently encountered a man who wore Mandalorian armor, Jango Fett."_
*Alemc* - [angrily] _"Jango Fett was a common bounty hunter. How he acquired that armor is beyond me."_
*-Star Wars: The Clone Wars,* _"The Mandalore Plot"_
Thomas Kelly // Obligatory "I'm not Eric," but of the people who didn't have an uproar about retconning or somesuch when that episode aired, the majority simply ignored him.
Almec's word isn't exactly.. trustworthy. Even ignoring the Corruption arc, he's part of a regime that responds rather aggressively to anyone implying that they are still warriors, almost to the point where there's no difference between a vehement disavowal and an honest no.
Whether or not it's the truth, Almec had no choice but to deny it. Satine would've done the same, as would Senator Merrick and Governor Visla. Their hands are tied while keeping up appearances.
Per Almec, their warriors were exiled and died out "years ago." The exact span of years is not given, but we know Mandalore was having a civil war during Satine's lifetime, which implies that warriors still existed at that point. Now the wiki lacks a birth date for either figure, but Jango looks older in AotC than Satine does during TCW.
Regardless of their exact ages, unless he's as young as Anakin(which is objectively impossible), he has to have been alive before the exile of those warriors, which gives a valid timeframe for him to be a Mando who left to become a Hunter.
The context of Almec's denial and the timeframe of the facts leaves more than enough wiggle room for Jango to be a Mandalorian.
Almec could have been trying to get obi wan to stop snooping around
@@spicysnowman8886 Possibly. I hadn't considered that. In keeping with your same line of reasoning, *Almec* could've said that in order to separate _-Bubble Feet-_ . . .er, *Boba Fett* from *the Mandalorians* in the eyes of the Jedi. 🤷🏼♂️
I died inside when this happened i cried for like an hour
He has a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten
Gosh i love it when they give the clone pilots personalities even when we only see them for like, 5 seconds UwU

I've been looking for this episode on the playlist. Glad it's finally here.
Favorite episode as a kid, just 25 minutes of action and one scene that made me cry every time! Also Ventress is great
I just love how much emotion Matthew Wood puts into simply saying "Kenobi".
Was the bad batch homage to 99
Yes
Yup. Experimental Clone Force 99
99 is without a doubt the bravest and most honorable clone in the entire army of the galactic republic
And thus another domino falls...
99 was not only a true soldier, he was a true *brother* .
For as sad as 99s death is, he died exactly the way he alwysse wanted, fighting with his brothers,
I've been looking foward to this
Will that Ventress scene be cut when it moves to Disney+?
Well I hope not
Sam Rose I don’t know.
It was already cut out when it aired on cartoon network so it wouldnt be the first time the scene was cut out.
Sam Rose doubt it
Sam Rose
Doubt it
After finishing Clone Wars, you should watch some of HFP’s tribute videos to some of the characters like Anakin and especially Obi-wan
Really late here but when the right guy said “that’s a Klingon bird of prey” sorry, that was a “clone” version of the early Z-95 Headhunters commissioned for the republic, it was supposed to serve as a scout/light interceptor, along the same vain of v-19 torrent but cheaper
Clone deaths always hit me hard
0:05 Eric just stop at 0:09 no need to categorize further lol, after this episode they were on board with it being among the best of Star Wars things ever
Definitely one of the best episodes of the entire series
2:33 that Bird of Prey is an ARC-170. A ship that wasn’t done much justice in my opinion. It had a heavy armament that made it a capital ship killer and is personally one of my favorite ships in Star Wars
I love how much Eric loves Star Wars.
9:47 YES! Another clone with jaig eyes. Correct me if I’m wrong Eric, but that makes 3 not counting Rex.
The gunner from clone Boba arc, ‘S.O Commander Blackout’ from the stealth ship (Christophsis), and now ‘rocket man’.
This Episodes NEVER will get bad, old or not totally AWESOME
I always liked how grievous is the supreme commander of the separatists yet still takes part in every battle on the front lines
I may never cry about 99's death, I dunno why, but what I DO know. Is he is a true soldier and a Hero
Reston peace 99 you are a true soldier
