you guys know that i'm a huge fan of efficiency and making the most out of things, it's probably something that is connected to the simplicity addict in me. so this week i wanted to share some tricks i use to make the most out of my wardrobe. i think it's so helpful, and fun, to go through our already existing closets and try to see every piece of clothing with new fresh eyes.

i've rediscovered some of my favourite items this season this exact way. like my vegan docs, my old vintage belt, david's suuuper old navy blazer ( that i unfortunately forgot in a hotel room in paris last week, darn it! ), and the trusted old christmas sweater, does it ever get old ?
by using what we already own in new and modern ways, we can really get the most out of our wardrobe and it will make it feel more versatile and fun, not to mention a whole lot bigger !

I share wardrobe with my whole small Swedish village! We have a freeshop, though which clothes (books, electronics, citchen stuff...) circulate. It's amazing! A big barn full of clothes, everything for free. I haven't baught anything new for ages. It's so easy to try new styles, and when you're done with something you just give it back! ❤️🔆❤️

Oh my god I know this comment is a year old but this is amazing! I'd love to organize something similar in my town! Do you have any tips on how to start something like this? I think the hardest part here would be to convince people to use other people's clothes... they're so resistant to the idea of second hand clothing unfortunately.

Taylor Marriott I have the same issue. I buy quality clothing and it looks old. I bought a pair of black jeans 2 weeks ago, Ive worn them a few times and washed. They look like I’ve owned them for years!
Yes! I’d totally love to see this too!
I hope you washed them inside out? That helps to keep the colour in denim and do not use dryer to dry your clothes. These easy steps will make you clothes look like new for years. And if they still look old after couple wash, return. This should not happen in quality clothes.
Use the 'wool wash' programme on your washing machine with a tiny bit of soap. Yes everyting inside out. Dont use wash softener when washing jeans
@@neitilusikka also, try to not wash your jeans unless it's absolutely necessary. This is what all sales assistants I've asked have told me. Unless the jeans are brandnew or stained, don't wash them. Just hang them up so smells can fade.

It's so funny to see the amount of clothes and layers you wear! Haha! I find them beautiful! But here in Brazil, there is no layering! No sweaters, scarfs, knee high socks or coats most days of the years... So videos with more of a "summer vibe" would be wonderful for me!

@@livamilAVA ^ yes!! but an issue I have noticed is that there isn't a lot of summer clothes in this style or any style I like. I had a hard time keeping my style when going on a vacation to Spain. I'm norwegian so I am always wearing a bunch of clothes, but am lost when it comes to summer since it never comes lol. Get what you mean with the whole America thing tho. Everything is so America centric etc

Sim, meninas, difícil ser elegante quando está muito quente, mas dá pra adaptar usando tecidos levinhos , tops co camisetas larguinhas , lenços de seda... onde eu moro temos todas as estações do ano em um só dia. Sempre uso várias camadas que vou descascando ao longo do dia. Estilo cebola paulistana.

Lilly Coulter yeah same. Also, curvy women wearing these types of lose items are always seen as slobs, not fashionable 🤔 curious that. We have to perform femininity a lot more strictly to be told we look acceptably pretty

I love wearing black only to help me maintain a minimal wardrobe. It makes shopping a lot simpler and getting dressed in the morning is super easy as everything matches, lol. I express my love of colour in other ways like through my youtube channel and going out in nature.

Growing up in Eastern Europe in 80’s/90’s and being 187cm tall I had to shop in men’s departments 😫 - there were no other options🤨 - I used to wear my dad’s wedding jacket as a coat 😋😆 (I was 18 or so)... hm, I might go thrue his clothes again 🤔👍😉

My mom became a known style rebel at her university in the late 50s/early 60s for wearing flamenco scarves as skirts. You can do it, ladies! And gents, if you dare! Really enjoyed these tips, Jenny; TFP : )

I started using the Shoptagr app last year; it's amazing. I've been able to purchase several "big ticket" items at a very reduced price without having to continuously check the various websites looking for a sale. Gweneth Paltrow started that whole scarf as a skirt over your pants back in the early 2000's when the seam of her pants ripped at a premier or something if I remember correctly. That sparked a good season or two of people wrapping their pashminas around their waists. Cool it's back in a way!

Ha ha I share a wardrobe with my daughter (which isn't as tacky as it sounds) I tend to go quite classic and she is quite tomboy, so she nicks my stuff when she wants to look a bit classy and I Nick her stuff when I want to make my look a bit cooler 🤓😍💯
Jenny, fool proof method to convince a boyfriend to wear a skirt: go to Sri Lanka for vacation, wait until he notices all local guys wearing sarong (long skirt), then try to stop him from buying half a dozen sarongs as a loungewear;) Good luck!

Hi! I love your videos so much! I have a tip for when you put on shirts/sweaters and don’t want your eyebrows to come off or your makeup to transfer onto the fabric. I make sure my hair is down and over my face and then slip the clothing item on. 😊 I hope this helps!
I’m going say for a dream person to share a wardrobe is : you my lady and Iris Apfel. As you are minimalist in your style and Iris Apfel is very maxi. But, I am in the middle but having two people form the different stylish plectrum line. Would be so much fun!

This video is great! I had this really pretty skirt that I love but I never wore it because it is a little bit to fancy, and today I am rocking it with a turtle neck ! Thanks. Also, I saw that you featured the brand Matt&Nat in your video, I am proud because it's a Montrealer/Quebecer brand, they need more visibility. It's a really nice brand of vegan leather bags! I am also lucky to have a boyfriend that has way too much clothes so I steel a lot from him. This video helps me style them and make them look more feminine. Cheers!
Thx for this nice video. I think not all the tips would work for me, I prefer to wear simple outfits more than stylish or fashionable. Though I really want to try some of your tips - as upgrading with accesoires like a belt or jewelery to make my simple wardrobe suitable for a dinner or party. This is so great when I have to feed and diaper the toddler and run out of time. I don't need to change, and think OMG what should I wear? I can simply upgrade the outfit i was wearing through the day....
