China bullet trains: Capsule soft sleepers
Vložit
- čas přidán 4. 01. 2018
- ** WARNING - Capsule sleepers are no longer available on the Beijing-Shanghai route. In addition, sometimes the China Train Company shows capsule sleepers on some trains but they are actually regular soft sleeper compartments. Travellers only find out while getting on the train. **
China overnight bullet trains now have a new category of soft sleepers referred to as "capsule sleepers". These are individual sleeping compartments.
These individual sleepers can be found on overnight D trains. On these trains, the speed has been reduced to make sure that travellers get a full night of sleep.
These are available on overnight D trains between Beijing and Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing and Guangzhou and Shanghai.

As far as the interior is concerned, this is one of the most beautifully designed comfortable sleeper I have ever seen.
Dhrubajyoti Kumar Ghosh yes indian govt too tries to release such kjnd of trians but somehow some crooked person trian ki ma benhen kar deti hai like tejas

I have travelled on Bullet trains in China, I must say they are quite nice, there is absolutely no noise or vibration inside the coaches, its almost like flying...great
No turbulance at all
I was lucky enough to have traveled on this train earlier in the year. I don't think it's fair to compare it to the compartment sleepers of generations past, but rather business class on long haul air routes, the level of privacy and lay flat bed, along with the cleanliness is unparalleled. There was onboard wifi, although it was spotty at times, and I could not fathom that I was moving apart from the times when the train was going around a bend. I paid $86 for a top bunk from Shanghai to Beijing, plus $12 for an overpriced bento box. It's a dream really, as it negates the need for a hotel room, the arrivals lounge at Beijing did also have showers, albeit quite spartan, rounding off the overall spectacular experience. I also noticed that all the platforms in china are level with the trains, and this sleeper had designated accessibility bunks on either ends of the carriages to accommodate those with disabilities. A+ for China Rail, better than any product I've seen anywhere else, even European and Japanese overnight trains. Hope they roll out more of these.
China is on the right course! Thumbs up!!!
Wooo so nice China is really a very developed country and railways are just wao , lots of respect from India
India would be the next stage for development .! Keep fighting!!
difference is
we do hardwork
they do hardwork + smartwork
@@unapologetic7291 and skill, determination, and patience.
The train is far superior to air travel in China (in most cases) and these new trains look MUCH more comfortable to the older sleeper cars.
It is a wonderful way to save time and money (on a hotel) and arrive at your destination in the early AM and hit the ground running
DavidisDawei what is price of ticket?
It depends where you are going Guy and which "seat/bed" is selected. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, if you wait to book your ticket the week before you want to go, the price will be MUCH Higher. Book Early for the best rates
I think the regular sleeper train ticket from Beijing to Shanghai is about $ 120
Depends on the route. Check the prices on our website: www.china-diy-travel.com
Not really. Train ticket prices are fixed and never change over time. The only thing is, if you wait too long then they may be sold out.
I have traveled both planes and trains in China and I gotta say the train is by far nicer.
planes are suck everywhere.
Because there are no turbulence on trains. I cannot sleep in planes for this reason.... ever.
And way comfier than night buses.
snarkyguy planes will become useless if all countries have functioning bullet train system
Abhishek Pawar Even better yet Hyperloops 😁
Awesome way to travel, I am definitely coming to China
Awesome new stuff! Now I can travel from Shenzhen to Beijing by train without sitting for over 10 hours in the train
I took one of this sleeper train from Shanghai to Beijing, it was very nice, inexpensive and comfortable. I love it.
dragondescendant1 where can i buy the ticket from?
I bought the tickets at the train station, the best way is to get them on line. If the train is full, you might not able to get them at the station, you will be wasted your time for nothing.
which city to which city did u travel and whats the duration im looking at say from shanghai to shen zhen?
google Chinese bullet train, you will find everything.
Ghost Mcqueen say 12306.cn if you can understand Chinese. Or just find a travel agency.
Very good idea to travel and it saves time ...it looks very clean and comfy .
it is very clean, I was in one of those.
ThomasG10mtn, not as bad as Los Angeles and tinted water at Flint Michigan. When you can't afford hotel in good area, you would stay in some ghetto, is the same in every country you go.
ThomasG10mtn, U.S. is the biggest air polluter until they moved factories to China, China is complying with the Paris accord, while Trump is pulling out. China has aggressive air quality control policy, with the most renewable energy program in place, while U.S. has none, you are farting through your mouth, you are disgusting.
ThomasG10mtn, when somebody attempting to change the subject in the middle of a debate, I know I have already won. I know facts have hurting your little girlie's feelings, you know the old saying, when you can't stand the heat, you should get the hell out of the kitchen.
lol, clean for how long?
What a civilized way to travel, you get a similar amount of space as you would flying First Class with any major airline. Your own private pod with a lay flat bed and more than enough space for all your clobber. Bet its also much much cheaper.
10 hour trip in this train from Guangzhou to Beijing costs around 190$.
I travel once every other year back from the US of A to China to visit grandparents. I’ve loved the comfort of sleeping on overnight trains and the speed of the high speed trains. This is honestly a dream, the reduced speed is a bit disappointing but to be honest it’s really impossible to have both without compromise.
Reduce speed so you don't have to weak up @2:00am, it's over night sleeper train remember. being a person live to travel round world my self it's the best thing that would happen to any traveler who touring the country at tight schedule.
Guy, the reduced speed is for purpose so that you stay on train over night and arrive your destination early next morning to begin your day. Otherwise you would arrive at 3 or 4 AM. What could you do there????
its small but looks comfortable . when i was little i have troubles sleeping in trains . Now i would love to go on one of those , so i can sleep all the waaaaay !
You're still young.
X Bbgþroad
Your neighbour will start loud snore. Forget that sleep.
These look great, hope they bring similar ones to Europe
You guys in Europe don't need these kind of train, you can travel from one country to another one in 3 or 4 hours.
City Night Line
@@jacklengfavor but not if you live outside a city and want to take a train to a metropolis in the country next door. The problem in Europe is that each country tries to isolate its train network. Cross-border connections are bad
Thank you for taking the time to put this video together - very helpful!
I’ve traveled a lot on the old sleeper trains in China. I really like it
So cool!!!
Very modern train, love the design, feels very quiet and toilets for any style of use too👍, certainly worth visiting china🤗
Looks like a fabulous idea.
Beautiful!
Your videos are worth of more subscription.
the best train ever I have seen
Nice train. One more item added to my bucket list.
love this! going on my to do list
China is already a developed nation....The station, the train.
Look at the overall infrastructure..
Although there are still many poor parts.
China's development is patchy n uneven. There are millions living in poverty, both in urban n rural areas. The overall Chinese mentality is still medieval, though outwardly China looks progressive.
@@terrytay1774 , There are still poverty in China. But China approach to poverty reduction is a customized solution based on the cause, location and other factors. China is experiencing extreme rapid growth, but they do not want to leave the poorest behind.

So cute train is and thank god it was extend to full night sleep
nice well planned , comfortable & clean.
I love china
I would be listening as always for the snoring person who would keep me awake. Train looks immaculate
This looks nice! I;m trying to figure out how the different sleepers look on trains and this is the first i'm seeing this style!
Good job
amazing, thank you for sharing,
nice train, and china has someg long distances so overall a very nice idea. Also i love how the train cruises at 150km/h a speed dreamed of for us in australia where we get to maybe see 100km/h with an average of less likely lol
Actually, they slow it down to 150km/h so that the rides takes longer to let you sleep a full night. In daytime the run at 200-300km/h.
i know thats the beauty of it. Even in its reduced speed mode for the night trips its still faster than australian trains. then in the day time it leaves us for dust lol
kineticdeath I take your point but the top speed on most Australia railways is 110kph (probably the same as China’s conventional rail network) and the “Spirit of Queensland” (Brisbane to Cairns) tops out at 160kph. Not Chinese fast, but not shabby.
yeah, it's good that they lower down the speed at night, the full speed is gonna raise to 350km/h soon that way you won't have time to sleep. I took it from Guangzhou to Shanghai once.
Actually I think the conventional railroad in China is 180km/h? I get the feeling that if this train runs at 150, it’s actually slower than most of the conventional sleeper trains...
I have travelled on an old Chinese Green train from BJ to Moscow, highly recommoned!!!!!
高鐵有臥鋪!疫情過後專程去大陸坐,讚
坐这个之前要做功课,不要买成绿色车底的动卧了
I'm very happy for China.Keep up the good work
Speed reduced to 150km, in INDIA the fastest train has a max speed of 150km😂😂.
China will be among developed countries in some years and india will remain developing country for next 1000years.
In India high speed train will be much more profitable.
@@AndrewManook yep i agree. And our conventional system is also improving.
May be next 5year we will have trains running at 200kmph on conventional and 320kmph on bullet train.
Arpan gupta our fastest train is having 160kmph. Lol how can you reduce 10kmph.
You must understand that we don't have the infrastructure. People won't pay that much. How many pay taxes? There is corruption, lack of political support, lack of money and overall a lack of civic sense. In India, it would take 1 maiden journey for this train to lose its standards and equipment on board. People bring down the quality to their standards in India. Tejas express had broken lcd panels... I mean that is done deliberately. Thieves and greedy people everywhere.
When India gets on the right path, it will develop very fast as well.
WOW! Wish we had this.
LOL tho I'm Chinese I never thought of this way to save money for traveling, u inspired me great lol
I was traveled in one of those.. good one.
simply amazing !!! nice train for a great country !!!
well done china
Good looking train.
very nice trainm.
the night train from Kunming to Beijing on Friday night is the capsule sleeper train.
This is so cool!

Beautiful.
Nice Train
Amazing.
Great! That is the same size as my condominium.
lol
Amazing
16 hour trip at an average speed of 100 mph (160 kph) = 1,600 miles traveled. Chicago to Denver - 1,000 miles, Chicago to NYC - 800 miles, Chicago to Los Angeles - 2,000 miles. New York to Dallas - 1,600 miles. Imagine how much easier long distances travel in America would be if we had this civilized, high speed, over night option. This train makes the case for nation wide high speed rail very compelling. It would be a huge infrastructure project which would create millions of jobs. China is already there. America now needs to follow by example.
PS - You could go even further with privacy in the sleeper car, but the fundamentals are there.
Hopefully one day could travel from China to Europe by these Bullet train!
You’re very lucky to see a double-decker train in China it’s super rare especially bullet trains
Very nice
Looking very nice and comfortable coaches. ☺
It would be more good if full country, from East to West & North to South will linked by these coaches. Then it would be very comfortable journey for their normal people & travellers. ☺
It pretty much covers north to south on the east coast which is where most people are. Sometimes in 2018, it will go all the way to Hong Kong.
Nice.
@@ChinaDIYTravel Is it possible to choose my own bunk in this train in the online booking process?
@@geraldokurniawan2665 Unfortunately, the official railway company system allocated berths on a sequential basis so it is not possible to choose a specific one. For seats, however, it is possible to choose window or aisle.
Age old concept of Indian trains but the interiors is super awesome and clean unlike Indian railways
China is an inspiration to India. Respect from India
D trains in China is slower than G trains
superior
Very beautiful this train China
Wow. I have been living in China for 4 years and have never seen these before! I never knew they even existed! I only know of the slower sleeper trains on the Z train/K Train.
haha it's you. You got a blind date in the new years holiday ?富强 民主 ………你个逗比。lol
In india we are using such sleeper busses and trains from very past away but interior of this train is awesome..
Smit Saraiya ticket bhi utni h
Lol our sleeper busses and trains are trashy as.
印度也會越來越好
Harsh they reduced the speed from 450 to 150. And here in India most trains go by an avg of 60.
Christie Kaiser yes this is true, since last 3 years the railway infrastructure has changed alot.
Awesome
Superb china
Superb
Love to travel china.
Really interesting solution seeming like it's offering privacy as well as a large number of beds. Maybe it could be an alternative to couchettes in european overnight trains
china is awesome... ! from india...india doesn't have this kind of quality
Cyril Gomez it does for many years now, search duronto train on CZcams
thanks !
Cyril Gomez are you from Argentina?
from India ... Tamil Nadu
Cyril Gomez nice, but I admit these Chinese trains look very nice, sleek design
The use of "box pockets" to minimize length of each set of beds is ingenious -- this should be introduced on American trains .
Western media never show this
Kya train he Bhaai
Waah
Top notch
Looks comfortable, but for a family of four, I like the old soft sleepers better.
Amazing..love from pakistan.
I used to travel between Jinan (a city in north China) and Shanghai 20 years ago on old sleeper trains. The beds were so small and I was often waked up by the vibration when the train started or stopped at stations. The condition and speed of this sleeper train is only a dream for me at that time.
Here is a link of the old sleeper train:czcams.com/video/-DmhjvT0bGI/video.html
We have a video about the older trains here: czcams.com/video/tAtMML0_3cE/video.html
Yeah, That is exactly the type of sleeper trains I used to take many many years ago. Now with high speed trains, the travel time between Jinan and Shanghai is less than 4 hours.
yeah, the hard sleepers in this video are exactly what I took 20 years ago.
Be friend, My water I
The capsule sleeper is back baby
wow fantastic awesome train.i wish this could be start in India also in the future.
it will take very long time to build, before building at least 5 years discussing, and ticket is very expensive since you have choosen Shinkansen, it is 3x more expensive than China´s bullet train, your ticket would even be more expensive than in Japan, since you have to import everything from Japan. still wish you can enjoy this technology in the future.
well indian government picked the japanese train we’ll see what they got
Sure,India will get the high speed train in future。It is great solution for any high density country。
have you travelled in 1A Rajdhani?
Well we don't deserve an upgrade until we learn to use (not abuse) facilities.
Wow
Not a fair comparison, but this beautiful concept relates to the sleeper multi axle buses in 🇮🇳which were originally designed with seats for day journey.
Very country should get inspired by China.. Make your own bed! Well done China
This model is called CRH2E, but capsule sleepers are only available on the third generation of CRH2E. So, even if the China Railway app shows “CRH2E”, it doesn’t clarify which generation it is, so this is why you cannot determine whether your train is a capsule one or not before you actually see it.
train ambience/ speed etc and optimal human condition recalibrate.... thoughtful entrepeneurs.
The best
good job china, hope similar trains could be seen in INDIA after some decades.
Our black Indians love licking western ass instead of learning anything from China that is next to us.
China is a very powerful country in world...

Nicely done. Train is amazing. Are the beds hard as a brick?
They are not bad actually but not so thick.
Meanwhile here in India the trains suck big Time. We're really way far behind. Just look at the clean train station.. Forget the train.
Shekhar D. why is it so screwed up? just curious.
I am travelling by train in India tomorrow . Man I got to say that I feel kind of jealous.
china high speed raiway train very cool
China is very beautiful
Great video. Are there sleeper services on all the long distance high speed lines? Is it hard to get a ticket? Are they expensive compared to the day train?
These are the new one, the old one is introduced in 2007, is work in nearly the same way except that they have tradtional "rooms" except these solo sleepers. abut the same price as 2nd class on G trains
