Loose Leash Walking: • How to teach a dog to ...
Today I am going over a video from "Solid K9 Training"
I will be giving my point of view on the methods being used, as well as giving the animal(s) in this video a voice. Don't blindly follow what someone says, even if they are a "professional", use your own critical thinking skills and question the tools, the method, and the trainers.
I am using all footage under the Fair Use Act for criticism and educational purposes, and do not wish for anyone to send hateful messages to the original poster. I hope to spread awareness about this type of unnecessary and dangerous practice that is so prevalent in the dog training world and horsey world, and to give these animals a better life. Let me know what you think of it, and what you would like to see next time! Until then, practice Patience, Peace, and Pawsitivity! :3

"if he doesnt sit he gets corrected" .....or....or you could just reward the dog for being calm period regardless of if it sits or not. after all isnt getting the dog in a calm state of mind what they were looking for?
Lol I love it!!!! 🤣❤️
Taylor, I’ll watch this in the morning. I don’t want the stress before sleep. Thank you for doing these. 💙
I don't blame you, I hope you all are doing well 😊
When you say fearfull, it looks to me as if the dog has already recieved strong over "corrections", I call them strong displeasurable experiences as Konrad Most would say. "Never use strong compulsion or intimidation on a fearful animal, we can only seek to use encouragement." The dog is clearly scared of the handler, and therfore learning cannot occure only survival.
This video of Jeff Gellman and including many others just shows that he has no idea what he’s doing. I have no clue how people actually follow him and how they don’t see the pure abuse this guy constantly causes to dogs!
funny how its usually big dogs that people do these videos with
Funny because so many little dogs need a lot of work, or funny because those types of trainers seem to like being abusive to big dogs/certain breeds?
I feel like they get some kind of pleasure from abusing a large, powerful animal that won't fight back. Much like in the horse world 😥
@@K9Tay i never knew how bad the horse world was until i saw raleigh link and her vidoes on horse trainers. i think most just like the spectacle a large animal provides.
Absolutely! Horses attract people who are obsessed with ego and status 🐴
It's tough to walk the line between being a "strong" handler and being a bully. Ive been too harsh myself at times but this is bad. I'd also expect a Corso to be a bit reactive to a soccer match and people running directly at it. Looks like a great dog so give that poor baby a break already.
Beckman was jerking around a Corso a while back. All I saw was a dog doing exactly what it was bred to do -- nothing more, nothing less -- and was criminalized for being protective. The dog shown here really needs a little joy incorporated into whatever this goofball is doing.
That guy shouldn´t work with dogs ....
Poor dog was not confident at all, he didn't even give him a chance to work it out.
Heyy. Have you ever reviewed Kat the dog trainer? I know she has a strong presence on til too and a lot of what she says is flat out lies
Oh really? No I don't think I've heard of her, but I'll be sure to check her out, thanks for the suggestion!
@@ScoobyDoobyDoo666 @ScoobyDoobyDoo666 , is she the woman who shows off Halen’s high headed prancing heel? Halen is her own GSD? Or am I thinking of someone else I won’t watch again?
@@SuziQ. She has two GSDs, one female which I don’t remember the name of and one named Lucifer. She talks the talk about knowing body language but in every single TikTok of hers I see the same thisgs; stressed out dogs, very right and short leash, prong collar (even if the dog is wearing a harness, and a big leash pop to “get the dogs attention.” She also talks about breaking up dogfights by cornering and choking out dogs, saying that that’s the only way. If you want, I can put a tiktok link in a comment to show you what I mean.
Please feel free to post the link, I'd love to see it as well, so I know I'm watching the right person you're referring to 😃
I watch alot of you tube training.. look at this. NOT MY STYLE AT ALL. Lucy everything off leash
