Thats why i love him, he loves his music and dont give a fuck
Also worth remembering Famines comment after the reaction to Split :D : "I think it's really hard to satisfy our listeners today because when they don't attack music to get back at ideas, they expect too much from us. Our fans are frigid old bitches, they had too many orgasms with each album release, and now that their ears are dilated by miles of sublime riffs, they blame us for not making them come anymore. We've mastered the whole new French scene, everyone's stealing my ideas, so who's the Master? Who's the expert? Is it you, or is it me? If I had any advice for my fans, it would be: first, to commit suicide, second, to judge a PN album only ten years later, because you live, eat, smell, smell, judge my works with a rusty brain that dates back to 1993, while I am already in 2088. Honestly, how can we say that PN is dead when we are still able to produce titles like "Aux armes! ", " Songe Viking ", " Aristocrasse " and " Domine "? At some point you have to stop using drugs"
I love it
That's very funny
Finally someone else talking about this band, Wyatt had the only ranking for the longest time.
Peste Noire is by far my favorite band right now, and I couldn’t possibly rank them because my favorite album of theirs changed every few days. I even like the degenerate side of Split.
M8l8th ranking when
haha, a matter of time... and then maybe just directly funding right-wing hate groups...
If that band didn't suck so hard... If you are gonna be a NS douche, at least write some decent riffs...

Based list, but their ultimate epiphany is Phalènes & Pestilence from Lorraine rehearsal in my opinion
The phalènes et pestilence demos are also really good
Favorite: La Sanie
S+: Ballade Cuntre, Peste Noire
S: Folkfuck Folie, L’Ordure
A+: La Chaise
A: Le retour des pastoureaux
Least Favorite: Split
Can’t go wrong with the debut good list 🍺
Yeah there just is no beating it for me. even though the Self Titled, Ballade came REALLY close.

You gotta admit song viking is a banger, though.
Love that shirt
Funny thing is that Famine hates the mixing of Folkfuck folie, and thinks it ruins the songs because of it, I'd love to hear a remaster
Cat's out of the bag now you gotta do an Absurd ranking 💀
A GBK ranking too
I like your list, I'd bump the cheese box up and the la chaise down. Also agree with split, I always listen to the first 3 songs, intro of 4th, the maybe the last song on the aristocrat side (I like Domine).
Ballades has to be the best, especially the song of the similar name. That's my number 1 kpn song.
Also rare to see someone that likes folkfuck. I agree it's very good.

Great video + respect for being willing to stick your head above the parapet by acknowledging the genius of KPN without apology.
Split is my least favourite as well, but I actually think that both the 'traditional' and 'degenerate' side are a little underdeveloped, for the most part. Aux Armes is a fucking fantastic track, the vocals on that track are some of my favourite BM vocals ever, but the other songs are a little bit safe or mediocre by the very high standards that came before. As for the degenerate side, "Aristocrasse" is also pure genius. Kind of achieved the impossible by creating a hardcore rap track with black metal inflected vocals, shouldn't be possible.

You're gonna get called out by Famine for not speaking french throughout the whole video.
Also, none of the albums featured a pretty popular Blackgaze artist, nope. It's probably another person.
🤣
But his music is too beautiful to get him cancelled. Like this Norwegian guy. Let's rather cancel MGLA.

Peste noire isn't really my kinda BM from what I've heard. La Sanie is an absolute masterpiece though.
Split would be a great album if Famine chilled tf out with the edginess. Yes all black metal has to have edge but come on, some of the lyrics and imagery come off like a 6th grader who watched The Boondocks and misinterpreted it. Good music tho
Lmao true

S+ 😂
Hmm, recognized two of the album covers and went to find them, but must have deleted them out my library. Having a quick relisten, I'd say Peste Noire are ok. Theres so much better black metal out there that I just dont see myself making time to relisten to them. It's like a cheap horror film, fun to watch, but ask me a week later and I've forgotten everything 💀
Bet it's the NS part of it that bothers you actually.

Erm mate, that 2018 album was pretty poor...
Split is in S tier for me. I really like the first half of the album then the trap beat part slaps harder than Chris brown slaps women😂
Love all their albums. Split is so underrated that I’m certain 99% of the bad reviews are from people who’ve never heard it. The first half of the album is better than any album in most top tier black metal bands catalogs. The second half is still amazing considering it’s hip hop in a language I don’t understand. That’s why the second half is more black metal than most black metal. The second half and the cover are what I love about Peste. It’s blasphemy in the age of woke

Nah this is not the wave this is embarrassing as fuck. Maybe for the basement bm fans who think they’re sense of extremity is unique and somehow necessary but no for normal people or maybe normal bm fans I should say this is just weird and racist that’s it,crazy tho did not expect that 😄

Lame riffs for a lame band
Your daddy touches you I can tell.
To be honest, Split for me isn't a bad album at all. People are just gimps who can't get over a little Rap beat on their precious Metal and I think that is pathetic. I listen to Split probably more than any KPN album tbh. Perhaps that calls attention to just how listenable/accessible this album is. I can put it on any time any day and love it. Songe Viking is also such an amazing song that just gets me so pumped up.
For me, Folkfuck Folie is the least best album that KPN has put out. It's not a particularly bad record, but for me it's just not a strong album whatsoever. It's by far the least memorable album. Again, not a bad album by any means. They really haven't put out a bad record. It's chaotic as fuck, but I find myself not really remembering it much.
Ballade is a great album, so I can see why you like that so much and yes, it really is KPN personified. I personally think the latest album is the closest to that kind of utterly French vibe since Ballade really. The lyrical themes centred around Anarchism, Nationalism and France gives a similar feeling. Really though, it's hard to even talk about the first 3 albums with the latest 3 albums. The first three were actually Black Metal. Raw, unrelenting, chaotic and folky. Then they had a couple of albums (L'Ordure and Peste Noire) that were a little more experimental and punky sounding, with slightly better production, before putting out the last 3 albums which to be honest, most people don't even consider these ones to be Black Metal anymore at least in the traditional sense that is. The production got way better and in my opinion the music, although still just as brilliant and interesting as ever, became more listenable as I said.
Either way, there is essentially something there for everyone and I think that most people will each have their own favourite album and it will be different from the next person. My favourite is Split, but I don't think it's the best album if that makes sense. I just find myself listening to it the most, along with La Chaise Diable. The newer stuff seems to fit my vibe more I think, but I can still slip into a raw, folky Black Metal mood and listen to the earlier stuff.
Yeah I don't get it either. Everyone loves Folkfuck but I can't seem to get into it after trying. I preferred the demo versions of their songs.
