She had the balls to defend her son to the wife of the man he murdered, murder she very well may have seen parts of, including his dismemberment and burial in her backyard.

In my opinion: The symbolism of so called Satanism would be hilarious. The upside-down pentagram would actually mean woman or in reference to Venus (i.e.: Jezebel). The goat's head was an old effigy for going your own way by your own wisdom.
I'd have to hand it to mental illness (if it exists) to create such an emotional proposition from taboo.

The sign was specifically for cops, people who would impose rules. I.e. the sign was totally in line with the zero rule policy.
