Thank you sir,I'm three years into my recovery, searched the web high and low for info and help and this is the most accurate honest relatable clip I've watched. The warning about methadone suboxone is just. If I'd know I'd still be taking it 3 years later I'd never have taken it. I wasn't told any of that. Big love love to all on their journeys to recovery and to your friends and family's that stand with you. We are warriors
I was on methadone for 20 years I was up to 115 mg I wean myself down and now it's been two years without any opiates I prove people wrong some people say you cannot get off of methadone well I guess I can Pat myself on my back that might be a start for some self confidence🙂
Same. Not for that long though. 4 years. This was exaggerated and full of false info. It doesn’t get in your joints or bones… you don’t lose your teeth because of the methadone.. it doesn’t split your fingers or make you brown… you don’t wake up throwing up everyday and end up in a car drinking a bucket of methadone vomit lol. Not when youre at a stable dose. If that’s what it was like everyone would just keep using…All of that sounds like dealing with a dual habit and not using the program correctly. Yeah it sucks but not any of that lol. Unless you were to cold turkey.
how was it?? howd ya do it? working on tapering off.. 5 years on,, hate it. body .. well bones n teeth,, n stomach everything hates it.
wishing u well
@@nevereverforever0010-uf9su it was pure hell the only way I did it was by weaning down little by little till I got down and I was only taking 5 mg mg a day it took 15 years then I retired and I didn't have to go to work the first night was horrible second night I took two-and-a-half mg I stayed in bed under the sleeping bag and kept my eyes shut tight and wiggled my legs for a week then I noticed it was a little better every 24 hours before I knew it I was on day 7 and the next day was a little easier before I knew it I was on day 30 the pain that was way worse when I was at 115 mg I couldn't make it more than 2 days I was on day 30 and I never look back she just kept going and now it's two years! I have a tough time believing it myself but I did it! I started taking kratom one year ago and I got my motivation back before that I had zero motivation. Now someday I will get off of Kratom but not right now I have a hell of a mess to clean up and that's an understatement🤣
I'm currently withdrawing after stopping at 9mg just over 2 weeks ago (was over 100mg at my highest), but I'm mostly okay, & I'm hopeful that it will pass in time. Good job btw! I was on the program for 7-8 years, while my parents have been on it for 20+ now. It's awesome to hear that someone managed to get off after so long! Props.
wow! nice job, i wisah you all the strength and will power to get sober and clean an healthy. wishing you protection and success in your journey to sobriety!! god is good amen!!
I’ve been on methadone and suboxone. currently am on methadone. I’ve never experienced the side effects he talks about. Once you get take aways, it’s like taking any other medication people take.
I know someone on methadone 3 diff times. First time they just stopped cause they didn't listen to proper detox and went crazy. This last time they did a slow detox of 2mgs/wk, then 1mg/wk, while INCARCERATED, and it took them just as long to get off as they were on it, but had no withdrawals when they finished. Only issue was they said was anxiety. I've been told by numerous people it's much easier to get off then Suboxone because you can get down to 1mg. It is possible!! Along with soberity! You just have to want it. After years of putting any substance or medication into your body, your body can't take it anymore. Pray for everyone still struggling with sobriety or mental health. Sending love, prayers and peace! 🙏 God #1.
What you have overcome not many can. You’re incredible.
I'm so proud of you! You've come so far and the fact your helping others going through difficult times, shows your true character. I will never judge you for what you've been through and I'm so thankful you are living a better life.
He talkin about methamphetamine. Not methadone
Ye I know wtf
No no no...... he's talking about methadone!
both
Its hard to kick hardest thing ive ever been through
People are different some need suboxone some need methadone than its on you to start tapering and get off. If you know what you are doing its totally possible...
Im on methadone since 2006 140mg.my lite work . Working and kids family. But it have backside. I dont know how to stop… they dont want me to stop coz i go banana on deeper shit sometimes and they scared i go die or something.. my lite work pretty well and im not rdy to risk everything..
12 years after a long pill habit kicked it was 2 months of hell
Problem is people use on top of methadone , i think burphophine injection is the real game changer
Ice is meth. Meth is methamphetamine. Speed is amphetamine. He is confusing meth with speed.
Can b done though with some want to and some tough love
Every person is different. People need to realize this and find out what works best for them. He’s glorifying suboxone and I wouldn’t kick a dog in the ass for a truckload of the crap. I weaned off it and it was freaking horrible. Worse than heroin withdrawal! I weaned off of methadone after two years of taking it and it was a walk in the park compared to suboxone. Went from 120mgs to 17mgs. Of course I stayed constipated from the methadone but you’re going to do that on opioids. Other than that I had none of the side effects he’s talking about.
Exactly what I just commented!
yo, was it honestly easier to get off methadone? i've been on it for 2 years & some change... I've just always assumed that it'll be sheer torture to cold turkey it, but i feel like it won't be too bad if you do a xtra sloooow taper [or at the least, slow enough to not feel like rubbish. I lived in thailand and the clinic there just sells you (uber cheap tho, free for Thais)
@@mksu2991it’s fine if you taper off slowly by lowering your dose over time.
Same. I’ve never experienced the side effects he described from methadone. I just feel normal. Don’t even feel withdrawal until 48 hours without any
I've been on methadone for 23 years. I'm down to 7 mgs & it's been a hell of a struggle. I can't get out of bed to do anything I need to. I'm going to make it happen. I've come this far & just so ready to obtain my life back. Again, it's been very hard on my energy & just don't feel well whatsoever. Peace to all
Watch the video before commenting, he ends up on methadone after morphine, meth and opiates.
Methadone & Morphin = Opiates
teeth stomach sweating lazy sugar craving so much omg. im dow to 45 i didnt like it.. was up high for a while but its awful
ill stay off it soon but worried.. need a month down to get off this shi. kk . got it
This guy sounds like his brain is melted
Sort the title out.heson methamphetamine not methadone.
16 days clean from a 30 Yr opiate addiction and was on methadone most of that time, I think methadone should be banned it is truly an awful drug..it stalls everything in your body. I had a really bad leg infection about ten yrs ago and It left me with a lot of fluid on both legs, every bit of it has gone now..had I known how bad it is to get off I would never have even tried, it is the pitts I hate the stuff now..thanks for the video and congratulations for your success..
After ANY amount of sleep myself and others would wake up feeling as though we never dosed that day. That's why I stopped cold turkey taking 240mg of methadone every day.
Jeezus 😬
Hey I swear that's what happens to me I'll doze at 7 am on sat ,sun. Come home go to sleep for two hours then wake up feeling like shit smh it's the worse I wish I never got on it 12 yrs
My surname is even rarer
Sure is!😊
Did you taper when you got off, never heard about these side effects.
