Kani Kusruti is an Indian actor who has worked in several movies across languages. Her forthcoming film, Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light, had been selected in competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The film has won Grand Prix prize in the Cannes Film festival this year.Directed by Payal Kapadia, the film starts two Malayali actors Divya Prabha and Kani Kusruti.The film was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
She first gained recognition in 2009 with the film Kerala Cafe, where her performance was critically acclaimed. Kani won the Best Actress at Kerala State Film Awards in 2020 and the Best Actress Award at the Moscow International Film Festival for her performance as Khadeeja in the film Biriyaani. Kani was born to social activist and rationalist parents Jayasree A. K. and Maitreya Maitreyan. They had decided that they wouldn`t get married and raised Kani in an unconventional environment. Kani began her acting journey with theatre and was very well appreciated for her performances there as well.

An interview with abundant scope but dhanya reduced it after the first episode by prying into her personal life and making judgements on the same. You should have asked her more on art, cinema and acting.
But ppl need insight as well.. and kani is someone who you can look up to for it.

❤❤❤❤❤❤ Watched all at a stretch 😘😘😘 She gives a lot new insights n perspectives about life n relationships n especially ones’ self.. People are diverse n we need to understand n accept ourselves first n then the society or people will do the same towards us.. She do have childhood issues like anxious attachment style n fear of abandonment n thts being seen in her adult relationships too.. Her father kept telling he would go after an age n thts the cause she cant let go of her ex partner even after not being in relationship.. even she might not be realising it.. these r not any mistakes.. thts life n mental health issues.. Anyway i too have all these issues n struggling a lotttt myself.. n the saddest part is that even if we want, we cant let go of certain people in fear of abandonment n tht itself can make us weak more too at times… 😓😓😓 N people really cant understand us even if we try to explain.. also we ourselves either cant understand it ourselves or even if understood cant do it in fear of abandonment… mental health is beyond anything we can do after a point…😓😓😓❤️❤️❤️ And Dhanya, great way u conduct these interviews… 👏👏👏 alao great effort n applause in bringing such awesome people in ur talks… ❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘 Thought evoking interviews by u always…❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
