This is probably going to be a 7-5 season, I don't see how we can come away with a road win in death valley. I think Jimbo should get his last shot next season with the introduction of the 12 team playoff. If he doesn't get in, he gets fired, simple as that. Max played his heart out though, got nothing but respect for the man with him sticking with this program.
Who knows, LSU got whipped last year. It's still possible to end the season on 9 wins which is still a respectable year. 9 wins used to be rare and still kinda are. Sumlin had one, Jimbos had 2 and I think 3 if they would have played the bowl game in 2021. I don't care how much money Jimbos paid, doesn't change the reality of winning and losing. The big contract is such a distraction and A&Ms fault if anything. I think Jimbo should finish his contract and his status reevaluate it then
The question is, what do you do at OL coach? It obviously a problem but how do you find someone good enough when you may only have one year left? Are we going to go through two more QB injuries next season and just repeat the cycle?(rumor going around Max has broken ribs) Jimbo has made some very poor hires and many of the guys he retains do not develop or coach well. This is a huge mess and unfortunately I think we know what we are going to get. The guys is incredibly stubborn and it is sinking his time at our program.

What is the reason why this offense line is not getting the job done? Is it poor technique , footwork and leverage or, are they not physical enough, is it the way they are being coached or is it because a lot of these o lineman come from high schools that run a spread offense where they were only required to block for just a couple seconds compared to a pro style offense where they have to block way longer than they are used to which requires more stamina
I'll take D, all of the above! A little of everything. But they looked like they had some life in them when they found the right combo for running. This was probably one of their better games IMO, but most of all, I think it's confidence. When they are in their wheel house, like they were on about a dozen plays today, they looked as good as any. Those running plays opened up the passing game too because they could go more one on one, straight up, and not so much stunting. Of course they had their complete blunders too!
I feel like there are plenty of excuses, I just don't want to hear any of them. I guess thats just another way to say, no excuses! He's long past put up or shut up!
No doubt! I think he's in a deficit mindset though right now. No excuse, but when you are pressured every play, it's hard not to get that feeling of being attacked out of your head each play. He could have easily thrown 2 more as well. We got lucky they didn't get converted. But he made progress, ever so slightly.

Particularly at Secondary! TJ Rushing has just really not done what is necessary to build our guys. Inexcusable! There has been a lot of blame to go around, he needs his fair share. Secondary is pathetic save Bryce Anderson

Yup, lose to Texas and miss the playoff would be a full in death sentence head coaching wise.

Stewart was out with a lower leg injury but not sure about Chappell and Harmon's injuries.
