I never liked this subject when I studied back in my graduation, but after I joined the course everything made sense. Dr Hafez is not just very smart, but he also knows how to communicate with his students in a easy way to learn. I passed my exam and I am very grateful for everything this course taught me.
My pleasure! Thank you for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the course including the very tough subjects.
It's very informative from the basic level and the actual science that lies behind the clinical outcomes..thanks for the video...excellent one
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for ur lecture sir. U were actually right in 8.07sec, tat primer is hydrophilic (it is both hydrophilic- towards dentin and hydrophobic- towards bonding agent).
And we use primer expecially in dentin bcoz although the collagen in hydrophilic the surface energy is comparitively low compared to hydroxyapatite.
Nice!
This is what that I have been looking for ....I love it and I love you too sir ! Respectfully .. thank you so much
Hi Shivani,

Really great video and great explanation👏👏
You are most welcome!
Dentin is hydrophillic not hydrophobic as u say at 8,13 seconds into video. . Primer molecules contain two functional groups-a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic group. The hydrophilic group has an affinity for the dentin surface, and the hydrophobic group has an affinity for the resin.
Yup! As you notice I do not get into the details because we do at a later time in the lecture.
Thankyou so much Sir! It helped a lot :)
Glad it helped
omg, that was really good, thank you!
Your most welcome, glad it helped.

Thank u so much sir it's very help ful again nd again thanks a lot ❤️❤️
Always welcome
amazing lecture overall
Thanks I appreciate, share with anyone that may benefit.
Could you please share how does primer work?the primer mechanism. Thanks!
Primer has a hydrophilic portion and a hydrophobic portion, the hydrophilic adheres to collagen, and the hydrophilic faces outward to adhere to resin in the bonding agent. I tried to summarize, we have this all explained in detail in our course videos :)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💛💛💛💛💛💛
Thanks for watching
