For around 5 years now, Team Fortress 2, one of my all-time favorite games, which I have spent over 3,000 hours playing, has been filled with malicious, cheating, AI-controlled bots that instantly kill anyone they see. They can capture objectives, walk around, kick innocent players, and they have perfect aim. Valve's anti-cheat is completely ineffective at stopping them. TF2 has had a lasting impact on the culture of the internet, and thusly an impact on all culture around the world. It's in a terrible state now. Here's some evidence. Please spread the word. Even if nothing comes of this, I still like protesting. I met all of the people I care about through TF2, and I believe in media preservation. By letting Valve get away with neglecting their properties, you're telling other big gaming corporations that it's A-Okay to do so. DO NOT STAND FOR THIS. We are lucky enough to actually have a community that cares.
If you don't think this will work, well, fair enough. I'm doing it because it's fun, and I want to see the game in a working state again, and I absolutely hate mega-corporations blatantly ignoring the consumers. Valve used to be the good guys. I don't want Valve to not be the good guys. I doubt Valve wants to NOT be the good guys.
