Yes, generals trying to adapt to modern weapons and modern tactics can cause confusion among the ranks, and executions by the Allies were probably more frequent in WW1, but France and Britain trying to employ ww1 tactics at the start of ww2 is evident that that kinda confusion is an issue when starting any new war.
Especially compared to going from traditional war to asymmetrical warfare like what we've been fighting since Vietnam.
During the early days of Iraq, there were US forces deployed on bogus scouting missions, with the real objective being to collect data on ambushes directed at such forces.

Bruh WW1 was far worser then WW2, no one would choose to fight in WW1, they would rather choosen WW2. Instead of being artilleryed, gases, having to be in trenches for the whole period of the war, mud, rats, fleas, diseases, dead bodies across no man's land, forest being caught on fire. WW2 only seems worse because of the amount of battles/events happened and losses, but everyone knows WW1 was just to horrible and chaotic and that the life style there was so bad. And the rule such as no retreating leading to friendly fire, and don't forget you'd had to charge into enemy fire against machine bunkers otherwise you'd be shot by your own officer, who doesn't care about, if you die, as long you make it into enemy lines.

In the second Battle of Ypres, to be precise, on 22 April 1915 at 6 o’clock in the evening, the Germans deployed chlorine gas for the first time and NOT mustard gas! In addition, the chlorine gas was used that night not against Canadian soldiers, but against French and Algerian soldiers. The Canadians moved later to close the giant gap in the front line, which arised, after 1300 French and Algerians died from the chlorine gas and the rest of the trench’s crews to flee. Mustard gas was not used until 1917. Mustard gas was deployed in the night of 12 to 13 July 1917 by the Germans, again near Ypres, against british troops.

Can you please do a video on the WW2 Army 333RD Field Artillery Battalion who were key forces in the battle of the Ardennes and the Battle of the Bulge. My father served in this battalion and barely escaped capture by the Germans. He along with the remainder of his unit was grouped with another Field Artillery Unit and fought in the Historic Battle of the Bulge but never received recognition for it. It would be wonderful if you were to include them in your content.
