The chapter 1 events were absolutely top tier, they made you feel terror and excitement because of how you couldn’t do anything (yknow, except for the vault). Nowadays you are part of the events
i hope for chapter 4’s event most of the map blows up leaving a quarter left of it and we get a combination of the chapter 1,2,3 & 4 map this map should have Pleasant Park (Chapter 1) Tilted Towers (Chapter 1) Retail Row (Chapter 1) Salty Springs (Chapter 1) Greasy Grove (Chapter 1) Steamy Stacks (Chapter 2) Lazy Lake (Chapter 2) Holly Hedges (Chapter 2) Coney Crossroads (Chapter 3) Risky Reels (Chapter 1) Reality Falls (Chapter 3) Sleepy Sound (Chapter 3) Shifty Shafts (Chapter 1) Frenzy Fields (Chapter 4) Mega City (Chapter 4) Slappy Shores (Chapter 4) Shattered Slabs (Chapter 4) Sweaty Sands (Chapter 2) they should have all those POIs and then halfway through the season they should add midas and the agency
I was really sad when i heard about the end event just being another advertisment. i miss these events, fortnite used to have a special kind of magic to it.
The suspense at 2:33 is so good at creating tension it gives me chills, especially when the dramatic theme suddenly starts playing as the rocket falls to the zero point. Truly a once in a lifetime event that I doubt will ever be matched by any game ever, super glad I was there to see it.
one thing that i didn't notice till now is how the bubbles around the pois with rifts above them dissapear as the rockets start to come in, thought that was really interesting the iconic battle bus sound as the blackhole absorbs everything is also chilling, ominous, a final cry before the island gives up and collapses in on itself. such a beautiful event and the perfect way to have ended the golden age of fortnite
The reason there is the battle bus sound, is because if you were at the live event, the explosion sends you flying in the air, and the black hole sucks everything in, you see some parts of the different POIs fly by you as they get sucked into the black hole, and then the battle bus flies by you. Definitely check out some player perspectives of the event
It's probably that after the 7 used the rifts, they either lost any remaining energy or were overloaded, forcing them to close. Since the rifts closed, the rift zones couldn't support themselves and collapsed.
first time i saw that blackhole my mind broke, id never seen a game quite literally off itself, especially one so popular, for a few days i was pacing around in my room talking to myself for hours, before realizing another map was coming like a few days later and i was a little disappointed
@zepos that's the problem, the reason they did that evemt in chapter 1 was because 1. We didn't have High expectations, now that that was their best event. It's hard to succeed that. That's why we r at og rn. To end the season off with the black hole to be fresh
A shame they shortened this event in the rerun, would have loved to actually be in it and not have to watch it through a streamer who doesnt event look at whats going on

Okay I was there for this event it was awesome and I remember how freaked out I was and others were when the game was down for such a long time. But we all have to admit the way that chapter 2 started with the opening trailer cinematic and tosses you out of the battle bus and straight into a game with Ruckus still playing was so, so good!!
still so mad that i missed this event man,way back when it happened i was in the event play...thing-a-ma-jig and like 3 minutes before it started the enemy team got the final kill (back during live events it was team rumble so there was a 200 kill limit before the win) and me and my friends tried to stop them but it was too late,they got the win EMOTED even tho they were gonna miss it too,and i had to do the stupid little mini-event in the lobby

It's probably that after the 7 used the rifts, they either lost any remaining energy or were overloaded, forcing them to close. Since the rifts closed, the rift zones couldn't support themselves and collapsed.
Another reason why is because they break down and becomes tiny little rift balls to create a big enough rift for the meteor to fit in.
