Wagyu Sirloin or Filet Steak? - Tokyo - Japanese Teppanyaki
Vložit
- čas přidán 15. 08. 2024
- Both steak cuts have a marbling level of A5 (highest score). A5 Filet steak is usually less marbled than A5 Sirloin or Ribeye Steak. While Filet Steak is gentle, tender and beefy, other A5 steak cuts require more care during the preparation: becomes the internal temperature too high, the steak becomes unpleasantly soft, greasy, mushy.
The Filet Steak goes for 16,000 Yen (141 USD) /100g, the Yonezawa Sirloin Steak for 15,000 Yen (132 USD) /100g. 10% service charged are added. The weight of the Filet Steak in the video is 120g.
i learned that if you watch these videos on a full stomach it won't hurt as much.
"as much" being the key words here... literally just put the last bite of my dinner in my mouth as the steak hit the plancha and here I am... drooling.
Polin Hem yup and im starving now
@@henlolneh LOLOLOL yes the drooling never goes away but the hunger pangs arent as bad

Im eating while watching this video,
Does anyone else watch this to relax ?
Yea but i dont realy understand how Japanese people make me relax and make me feel like i am home
Yeah relaxing while smoking weed
I masturbated to this video. It’s rather hard to come quickly.
to droole you mean
oh ya!
Best Teppanyaki video I've seen. No unneeded seasonings or sauces. No hitting the spatulas together every 2 seconds like some kind of knife thrower. They didn't cut the meat as it was cooking and let all the juices run out. And after cooking it they RESTED THE GODDAMN STEAK. Teppanyaki usually ends up being more about the gimmicks and the experience of it than the actual food, but they did everything perfectly here. Very impressive.
They love hitting them spatulas together in rapid succession.
"resting the steak" is a gimmick. Ask a professional. If you want your steak overcooked like an idiot, then fine... but if you eat your steak the way it's supposed to be eaten, then "resting" it will cause it to be overdone in the center.
I leave mean comments Or take your your steak off before it's finished and then let it continue to cook as it sits, dipshit.
Gordon Ramsey is a professional enough chef, and he tells us to rest our steaks!!
@@I_leave_mean_comments Resting the steak is absolutely not a gimmick. When meat cooks, its juices gravitate to the center of the cut. If you allow the meat to stand away from heat before serving, you give it time to redistribute and reabsorb its juice. As a result, the meat loses less juice when you cut it, also making the meat more tender and juicy throughout. As for overcooking, how hard is it to remove the steak when it is 1 stage more pink than desired? Then, after resting, you have your perfect done-ness without a plate full of juice surrounding a dry steak.
I love your detailed description of the steak weight, service charge, amount, ECT! Thank you!!
So eating this expensive menu item and getting paid with a million CZcams view seems to be a good strategy...
I like this feller . Seems like a nice fart smeller .
You get paid roughly $1000 per million views.. ($1 very 1000 views) more if you include ads

This guy is awesome, no flash just solid skills. Started with Wagyu, he almost lost me with the butter until I realized he was going to butter baste the steak. he also used his spatula like a total pro.
The sheer precision of the execution of that meal is awesome.! That chef knows exactly what he is doing. No flair just precise moves and techniques. Love it!!
The level of quality here is just insane. Thanks for sharing.
He listened to the customer.. it mattered
After what I just ate, this looks much more appealing!
Ya you've been a bad boy 👀
@@FeelingPeculiar 😂
Oh Lordy, I'm here imagining the smell while the chef was preparing the meal, yumm!
Great video as always, thanks.
This is like the ASMR of steak videos. I love watching asian chefs work, especially with Wagyu.
That chef sets a wonderful benchmark for those food types!!
My hat is off to recognize his passion for cooking!
I like the interaction at the beginning, Who jokes about something so serious!
Waiter: How do you cook your steak? ... Medium?
Aden: Well done.
Waiter: Eh.. M-medium?
Aden: Well done.
Waiter: W-w-well d-done? Y-yes o-okay..
(Poor guy almost had a heart attack there)
The chef was Internally sobbing and thinking "sacrilege, sacrilege!" 😂🙊 I'd be guilty of causing him this pain too. lol
jellomix2 At least the waiter said he was joking at the end.

I laughed so hard, I started having a coughing fit for a few minutes. Worth it.

Love this chef - smooth as silk.
Impressed with how neat and clean everything is👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Great Chefs. Ty for sharing 🙂
I like the way the chef plates the beef without touching it, so many American chefs touch the food while plating it.
i want you to know that the style with which you use to bring this experience to us is incredible and your stuff is among my favorites.
thanks.
In suprise to the saying “ less is more “
when you think you can eat more than 16oz steak youd be suprised to feel full with only 4oz and slow eating.
Beautiful meat. I would prefer the filet with that wonderful marbling.
The amount of care, when the chef cuts the steak..... 50 shades of wagyu right there.
This Chef is GOOD. He knows his craft... wow...
CZcams: what should we recommend now?
CZcams recommendation: there is a pretty neat cooking video
CZcams: perfect!
Life goals right here, to travel the world eating what ever sounds good
The after-meal line of coke was a nice touch.
lollllllllll
Sat and licked my screen the whole time!
Wow steak looked great but what he did to that rice was amazing I can’t even imagine the flavor profile
That is a master of precision and patience. Well done.
@Dawn groundhog67 why does it matter just let the people enjoy the video
The juice was the fat he kept pouring. Agreed with last person there. Lol skirt steak probably the best they had :)

Sign of a good chef right here the guy orders well done but he serves him a medium rare
The way of cook is Calm n gentle... My sleep movie
Chef is a true pro, perfect cook, not a word said. I love it.
Very poor knife skills
I love how quiet Japanese restaurants are. You can relax and eat without hearing thumping club music at full volume like practically every restaurant in the US.
You are correct bud
The hell are you eating at? This place looks a bit more upscale but I'd love to know what Ruth's Chris, St. Elmos, Papas Bros or Peter Lugars you went too with club music
Sorry buddy I retract my statement it my not be loud music but the MUTHERFUCKERS are louder then the USA look up Aden Films on Okinawa beef in Japanese Teppanyaki

Looks absolutely amazing and delicious so nice to watch these chefs. Thank you ❤😊
I need to go to these kinds of places, I’m an absolute fan of oriental kitchen, and these steaks just look so damn nice
The steak is very good but the price of this kind of steak is very high.
Oriental kitchen?😂😂😂
i watch just to see the sharpness of the knives
and I'm disappointed most of the times
He was just joking with well done comment. Chef wasn’t laughing lol
W.. w.. w.. well done??? 😭The chef literally cried
My coffee went from fresh poured to cold watching this vid. I didn't take one sip.
I like cold coffee better especially blended with fresh cream....yumm
he still cooked it medium imo , How was it buddy? looked amazing !!!
the countless of times iv'e drooled while watching these videos and went to the kitchen to try to "cook" myself something lmao
That moment when you make the first cut into the steak ...is the best !
I really really appreciate the way you make your videos. Keep it this way, thank you 😊
I always thought "medium" and "medium rare" was the same thing, shows how much I know about eating steak.
Steak cooked on the plate! Flame grilled and slightly charred is a must, especially with such quality steak.
When I had Teppanyaki in Osaka at Keyaki teppan the rice at the end was my favourite haha. Had everything, wagyu, lobster, fois gras, scallops, but of all that, the rice was out of this world haha.
Please stop. I'm about to sell my house and move. This food is amazing!
Hi Aden, can you tell what kind of microphone are you using to film this ? soo good :) thanks
bbc
I don’t think he was using film.
If you don't have a 1000 degree broiler, this or a cast iron skillet is the next best method to use. The butter added makes all the difference in grilling a steak.
The craftsmanship!
How i wish that someone treat me on my birthday here 🤤
Q: wagyu sirloin, or filet steak?
A: yes.
шикарный повар - никуда не торопясь, очень красиво готовит.
You knew it was gonna be good when he starts squeezing juice out the fat. Then you know its gonna be Extraordinary when he starts basting the steak in the fat/butter sauce DROOL
aye that guy is J-WALKING! 12:47 Oooooooooo im tellin
I need two Big Macs before going to this kind of places
The most satisfying teppanyaki video ive ever watch so far
I'm a retired engineer and I traveled to Japan on many occasions business and pleasure. I did enjoy the Wagyu many times in Japan, but base on own personal preference I still love and enjoy USDA prime, loved the meaty prime soft Grade A American beef. Wagyu is great and famous but is too much fat and can only be enjoyed in a small amount. When I ate wood charred American Prime, you know you had the world best steak that satisfied and hit the spot
Uma obra de arte esse modo de preparo! E com certeza delicioso!!

It's refreshing to see one of these guys actually cook a whole steak properly, rather than chopping it up and cooking it that way, a way that requires no skill whatsoever.

The Japanese are impeccable however with cleanliness in such an establishment
Hahahah Look up the stats. More Asian restaurants are shut down or fined by inspection officers than any other type. In Canada 80% of all restaurant violations were issued to Asian restaurants.
The amount of detail and care put into their food, from the initial steps of preparing all the way to serving up in near enough every restaurant in Japan, and meanwhile us in the west are so far behind even in what we consider to be high end establishments.
@@TheUnforgiven69 Do you know how many countries there are in Asia tho? Japan is like a small measly part of it, China takes the cake for the reputation.
@@lokekennee8850 In my city in Canada there is a restaurant closed every week for health code violations and it is 90% always Chinese.
@@TheUnforgiven69 Chinese is not Japanese? The first comment was talking about Japanese, so I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make.
Mother's cooking at home is the most delicious in the world
I think when he asked for the rareness of the steak it wasn’t really a question haha, with a steak that big and marbled the only way to get it cooked through is if you put it in the oven for half an hour
It can be done on a grill, griddle, or a skillet. You just lower the burner temp

Steak isn’t really a luxury in the us. You can get a decent cut for 10 bucks at the supermarket .
So I couldn't sleep last night and now I'm watching this at 7:45 am, hungry af.
Well as someone who eats alot of Japanese. They don't use filet, they use the sirloin and call it filet. So wagyu but even then there is american wagyu and Japanese wagyu. So no matter which they shortcut for cost saving and deeply exaggerate names
Very genius way to keep the unemployment number down, one chef per customer....
Unlike fast food chain, 10000
orders per each employee...
Pay for it, you can have 10 chefs for yourself.
ridiculous, im so happy to live in the bosnian mountains and have my neghbour's garlic and potato (for free and no omg) and my other neghbour's T-bone steak, ribeye, filet for 12 USD/1 kilogram, far from any roads or factories nor farms... have a goodnight
im sure yours tastes better because less theatrics/circus performance, good meat holds it's own and doesn't need kata precision to taste good, given so much attention and energy a Hebrew national hot dog will be mouth watering also.
