I think some politicians go in with good intentions, but with time the corruption is so gradual that it’s hard for self reflection to do any good. Until there’s a massive wave of people running to vote for term limits on congress, our problems will not only perpetuate but continue to worsen.

Hell some people even identify as one of the political parties. Their whole identity is tied into one of the two parties.
I’m a guy who leans left. Pretty further left than most Forbes viewers (although I have seen some left leaning content from them as well). I have no idea what the video is about because I pay Matt Gates zero attention. I’m here to hate scroll. This post is in no way an attack on you. I saw in your post the words “broken system” and I believe the system was broken on purpose long ago. Yet we continue to support those that keep it broken to enrich themselves.
The entire political media eco system now is mainly focused on partisanship. Many of the podcasts and videos I watch and listen to tell me Republicans are evil. I try to balance myself out and consume right wing media but they are just the flip side of the same coin. Lol you can watch a video of any event and have two entirely different outcomes depending on which side of the party’s you consume. I would use the Emma Vingland vs Tim Poole debate or even the CNN Trump town hall as an example.
And that is how I believe the system works now. I hate you. You hate me. I don’t know you. You don’t know me. We are fellow countrymen and that no longer means anything. Our job as voters is to protect our corrupt politicians and stick it to the other side’s corrupt politicians. It’s gotten really, really old.

Duped? You do realize that the Mueller report found plenty of evidence of very specific collusion between Trump his campaign and the Russians right? Mueller determined that he wasn't able to properly indict a sitting president which is why no indictment was handed down. This is all in the report it's public record.
If you want a very specific example you can go and find for yourself Trump in a rally asked the Russians to go and find Hillary Clinton's 30,000 emails. The first hacking attempts of the Clinton campaign occurred from Russia just hours after that happened. There's plenty of other examples in the report but that's a very easy one you can go look up yourself.

I really hate to believe that Durham is a swamp creature, I really do, but if he were a surgeon, he couldn’t lance a boil. If you don't hold corrupt individuals or even worse -- institutions -- accountable, then that institution is obviously doing more harm than good. The entire goal of Hearings like this is to identify guilty parties, charge them, learn how it got this bad and then introduce reforms to prevent it from ever happening again. Making a bad faith red team blue team gotcha comment about defunding the police at this point should be the least of your concerns. If there's no justice for the highest levels of crime, you won't have a country left.
