Today I am judging the best white t-shirt. These are all 100% cotton crewnecks from affordable to luxury. I want to see if such a basic clothing item is worth investing in. I ranked them all based on the same criteria. I kept the ones I like the most and sent back the ones that did not stand out or were not as great of a value, hence why some still had the tags. Nothing shown is gifted or sponsored.

Madewell shirts are my favorite! I have some that I bought 3/4 years ago that are still beautiful. No pilling, color hasn’t faded. I have them in tons of different colors. I’ve been interested in the Everlane shirts, so I’ll have to place an order!

Please do a Best Of Series! Please do a best of black leggings!! Some go sheer after 2 washes, and some start pilling right away- so many people like me live in black leggings. A good pair of black leggings from an ethical brand would be such a popular video! Love from Canada!

Some great basics brands I've found with ethical business structures are Franc and Organic Basics. I have white shirts from each that are super soft and opaque without being heavy. Hope this helps you, Bethany, or anyone who reads this!

I really like the levis white tee with just a little stitched logo, not everyone's cup of tea but lasted me now over a year and still looks and feels amazing ☺️ It's got a medium fabric thickness and looks really good, similar to the 195$ shirt 😊

Love this! Do many more, with all of the categories, please. I would love to see all of the brands featured having more ethical standards, though. For me, I wouldn’t consider buying from Madewell or J Crew. I would love to see a white sneaker comparison, or straight leg jeans.

Entireworld makes my favorite Ts, I love their "easy t" and the fact that they list all the measurements in the description of the garment. They're also a small company and use mostly organic/recycled cotton :)

Thank you for the video! I'm glad you mentioned Jesse Kamm because I'm interested in white tees that are not sheer and have longer sleeves. Sheer tees are not practical in the Midwest! I bought a men's Uniqlo Alexander Wang white tshirt and it is the best white tee for me in terms of thickness and sleeve length...not every women wants a teenie weenie tee shirt. I don't know the ethical standards of Uniqlo but it's the best I could find regarding my preferences.

Thanks for this video. I hate having to constantly replace poor quality clothing but I also don’t want to pay a fortune. Cuyana was the perfect price point and you are right about their drapey fit, slight sheen, and tightly woven fabric. Unfortunately their short sleeve crew neck white T has been sold out since about Oct/Nov and they have never restocked (I’m on the notification list). Their black slim turtleneck and black long sleeve T have become workhorses in my closet. Im buying their crew and v necks in black, navy, and stripe. I wont need to buy these color Ts for a VERY long time. Excellent quality and softness. I am extremely impressed. Thanks for the vid bc I had never heard of the brand prior 🙏🏽

@@bethanyleonardo Thanks for replying! Since summer is coming up soon a video on shorts would be great. Especially shorts that are made of linen or ones that are more classy/structured (an example would be the pixie market shorts featured on your IG). For the fall/winter, a video on turtlenecks/mock necks. Those are two items I have the hardest time deciding where to purchase them from because while it seems like every store is starting to have them, they vary so much in quality/price/fit/durability!
I love the ethics aspect you considered when purchasing. My income is GAP T when on sale. I don't shop online. I'll look into the GAP and their ethical production. Thanks for the review.

My favorite white t is from Lafayette 148. It is a scoop neck. Also Burberry makes an amazing scoop neck tee. They last forever and wash beautifully.
How see thru is the Burberry one? I rather have my shirts not show thru
Love this video! I’m really rough on my tees since they’re part of my signature style. The madewell tee really didn’t work for. The whisper texture really emphasized my bust and I didn’t find the fit very flattering. I’ll be trying Everlane next! I’d love your thoughts on the best everyday flat, wool coat, or life style sneaker.
Yes to more videos like this. Max Mara has a one shoulder t shirt for this season that I felt in love with. Went to Macys found a white t shirt in the men department and i did cut it similar to the MM the material is nice thick and cut was of the sleeve was ok but no the same like a drope shoulder from MM, so I am still in the hunt for a white t shirt with drope shoulder.
I get all my tees from LDB Paris, they are just perfect for the price!

Thanks so much for this video, very informative! I have had many issues finding the right white tee or black tee for over ten years. Either the shirts are too see-through, too glittery, too cropped (I don't like crop tops on me), and since I have found your channel I have had more success in finding the right basic tops, jeans and other items I haven't bought. I am being more kind with my skin and my health, and planet earth so now I am shopping thoughtfully and purposefully. All I wore over the years were hand me downs or thrifted items. It's great to find out that there are stores out there creating items repurposed and upcycling fabrics. I will be checking out the mentioned online stores. 😊❤️🎄 🎁
I like the Everlane Tee, and I also like Eddie Bauer Favorite Tee. They are thicker and hold up well.

Universal standard makes AMAZING tees. I think they are a bit of a blend, but the fabric is the softest and so drapey. And they have sizing for everyone- I believe sizes 00 to 40. And you will like their sleeves!

I would really love to see an updated version of this exact video, as I am getting increasingly frustrated with appealing drops in clothing quality, even by brands that were once known for good quality clothes or at least basics. There's countless posts about how the same item was bought 5 years ago and nowadays, but the quality has dropped significally.

I know you probably won’t see this because this video is a little older, but I’ve been hunting for the perfect *portfolio* of white tees, and my current fave besides the everlane one is from BLDWN. Omg. It’s $78 but it’s unreal. Highly recommend.
