    when I worked at bobcat we pulled the entire cradle out , took the exhaust and radiator out and would bolt a chain down as tight as we could get it then use a cherry picker , first one took me 2.5 days , but after doing a couple of them i was able to pull the assembly , swap the engine and have it bolted back in , in 8 hours , then top off the fluid and test run it the following morning

    Supermaning those back engine bolts looked like a real uncomfortable challenge. I like fixing things, but get irritated when I have to get cramped to do it. 🤯

    Great videos. I have a question on a Bobcat 742b. How many bolts hold the engine in. It's a Mitsubishi 4G32 engine. There is so much mud and oil clogging the inside I can't tell if there are only two or four. I took the two out (the door side of the engine) but can't tell for the life of me if there are two more inside further? love it if you could help me out with this one. Thanks

    Good video, sound quality was good too, thank you. My daughter and I just finished up exchanging engines in her Bobcat 753 C-Series. This was our first, thank God it’s finished, I’m not a fan of working in tight spaces. We are all smiles now and finding out the other issues with her 753. The issue we are having is the travel speed forward is slower than reverse, is that normal? Also, the left control forward is jerky. The pump seems to have good flow, the right side is smooth forward and reverse. Could this be a wheel motor issue? Thank you in advance! God bless. Tripp located south of Atlanta, Ga.

    • @tetradgroup
      @tetradgroup  Před 2 lety +1

      Sounds like your steering linkage is out of adjustment, adjust arms further back for more forward speed. The jerking more than likely in is wear on steering centering blocks on top of pump. Blocks can be flipped and bearings rotated for more life and adjustment. I've wanted to do a video on steering but haven't had a good machine to demonstrate on yet. I used to love just east of Atlanta, Walton county.

    • @tetradgroup
      @tetradgroup  Před 2 lety +1

      In some cases it's actually easier to pull the skid. Just make sure drain holes in bottom of frame are clear so the hydraulic oil can run out into a drain pan. Even after draining the tank you still lose lots of oil from disconnecting hydraulic hoses from the pumps.

    • @tetradgroup
      @tetradgroup  Před 2 lety

      @@brionherbanson73 for theost part yes, no need to change pump. The reeferotors are designed to run at constant RPM so you might have to change governor springs and add a start spring from the original engine. The governor linkage may need to be drilled to accept start spring. Also most reefer engines do not have a hole for a dipstick, you might have to drill the block and add an insert for a dipstick.
