- In this video I turn some refrigerator magnets out of scrap pieces of wood I had laying around the shop. This is a great project to sell at craft shows and you can use up all the beautiful pieces of wood you've been saving for years.

Hi my name is Carl Jacobson,
I started woodworking with my grandfather as a young boy. I continued woodworking through high school, and started woodturning after seeing a turned project in a friends shop. Some of my fondest memories are working with my grandfather in his wood shop. Being able to share our passion for woodworking, ties it all together. We also do a lot of epoxy projects as well as woodturning. - Jak na to + styl

Carl I don't want to argue, but no such thing as scrap. It just needs a home 😊
LOL...Sorry I miss spoke 🙂
Fun idea. Thanks
Neat projects and a neat way to use cut-offs. I've used Lee Valley as a good source for rare earth magnets.
Quick projects like this are so much fun to do and so relaxing. Enjoyed hearing you mention "faceplate" and "glue blocks." I remember my excellent high school shop class 40 years ago when a faceplate and glue block were all we had. Not to mention one glue -- no choices there. Totally spoiled by the various chucks in my collection! Thanks, Carl!
I guess this makes me 2nd. Great idea for craft shows. Thanks Carl. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Thanks Glen, have a great day!
They all look great Carl.
Pendants from pieces like this are on my list for this year.
Take care my friend.
Cheers, Huw
Carl; I use two pieces of scotch tape to separate the double sided tape put one piece of opposite sides and pull them apart.
Cool, thanks for the tip.
Cool little project to use up some of those small pieces that need a home. Thank you!
Thank you John!

Me too! I use them for non-corded pendants!

Thank you Lewis
Great little project Carl! Hope that you guys are doing well! 👍👍
Thank you Steve!
Looks great, I buy my rare earth magnets from Lee Valley, not sure if you got a store close to you though
I started buying seconds from a local hardwood supplier for making my off center pendants and earrings. Some of it is 1/8" thick and I glue contrasting pieces together and turn all the way through the first layer to show the second layer on pendants and then also make the edge of the first layer so thin you see a ring all the way around of the contrasting layer.
Very cool, I would love to see some pictures.
If only I had room on my fridge for one more magnet! 🤣
We're getting close to putting them on the top 😂
Great small. Not sure I could get more than $5.00 around here, but $5 is more than nothing. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Doug!
hi carl beautiful. very good to make money.

Nice project……Harbor Freight has small strong magnets
Thank you, and thanks for the tip. I'll check them out.
