Re your accident investigation procedures, noticed you used Terry’s name, not saying he is going to leave and work for O’ Donnavons, but always best to use a persons position rather than name so if he leaves you are not having to reissue every copy when you have to update, just a suggestion

Suggestion: maybe get a giant magnet like in the scrap yards to go around the whole yard to search for loose metal

Create a magnet attachment for the shovel. Drive it round once in a while.
Pretty shocked that you're a Tory to be honest. The Tories sold off the housing stock under Thatcher and then didn't replace them. And in more recent times: It took the Tories 14 years to reach the number of new homes built per year that were built when Labour were in power. And when you factor in the population increase - they haven't reached the same level. Also currently there is no guarantee that proprieties will be replaced under right to buy, which is one of reasons that there are no new homes. The last 10 years have been terrible for businesses with the uncertainty around Brexit and then the poor responce Covid and energy prices.

We use have a vehicle with a magnetic bar suspended at the rear of it. It was the full width of the vehicle and was beneficial to our company

Good man the tyre man, my first job in the army, when I joined at 17 and a half was working with our transport NCO, for 6 months until I started my courses (radio tech). I spend 6 months changing flats and tyres, cleaning and painting our trailer fleet, terrible work but by the end of that 6 months, all my other jobs were a breeze after that (20 year veteran), well apart from operational stuff ... always remember that hard work
Danny boy! literally your editing team is doing such a great job putting the content together that it just flows like a river - the music choices and editing teams are solid but to whom ever is recording all the content especially the pieces where the trucks are getting loaded or moving in and out of sites - big ups to you man! your angles and energy recording those pieces are spot on!! - love it man!!
Challenge: (A rather tame 1 imo) For 1 week have your team rent you a very small car to carry out your daily activities in. Also, in the mean time Terry gets your defender😊

I'm ashamed to admit i stopped watching these weekly videos at epsiode 126 and I spent since Tuesday binge watching trying to catch up 😂 finally i made it.
Daniel. I know you have been using the area behind the weighbridge but I do want to suggest that if that is part of your yard as there appears to be a rail spur is it worth considering building an new yard so you have a clean and dirty yard with the area fully concreted to prevent cross contamination of the new prime product. This could allow you more space to accommodate the range of materials but also provide you a good space to store for example your plant hire equipment and space for your cement operation (potentially also scope to eventually relocate your townie and tyre fitter to allow a reconfiguration of your admin complex and car parking area to a truck free zone)

Agree with the new ideas: We started out 30 years ago as painting contractors. We expanded into general construction and have seen rapid growth over the last few years

Ref going around the yard with a magnet, you can get magnetic bars that fit on forklift tines which will cover a much bigger area more thoroughly. You can also get these for roadsweepers I believe.
So excited for the new channel. I’ve enjoyed the vids thus far so an extra channel = more fun. Also I suggest the basic go to 1 chip challenge to whomever loses. Cheers another great vid.

Ashville should consider investing in a Forklift mounted Magnetic Sweeper (have previously had an Eclipse one on a site). Goes on the forklift/telehandler/forks on a digger. Great for yards where the risk of nails etc quite high and would be a saving if it saves you just one or two tyres...
100% Daniel's Challenge should be to go and work for Mr O’ Donnavons for a Week!!! I will post when the site is live......but had to get it down in writing.

1, do not openly accept responsibility at the scene
2, do not say sorry
3, do not become frustrated or angry
Three points that in the eyes of an insurer make you automatically liable and at fault
You should come to western australia and see some of behemoth iron ore mines. Trains 2.3kms long with 40,000 tonnes of iron ore in them. Reclaimers that can dig at 11.5k tph 😄. Wagons that go through car dumpers and turn upto 3 wagons upside down at a time to unload them its impressive but its always bloody boiling here.
Hey Daniel just a thought, at my job we have magnets on all yard vehicles that collect nails, rebar, and screws. Hangs between the tires a couple inches off the ground. Might be worth finding some strong magnetized bars that could help with tire puncture problem, atleast in the yard.

Just a suggestion but after your piece to camera about over flow of decorative stone then you stood in front of the empty skips would it not be possible to put overspill into the skips keeping it clean
With the accident reporting document, you could add a 3rd drop down on the excel such as "Answer Here" so there is no confusion of which cells you have filled out and which haven't been edited yet

You can get magnetic sweepers that are like brooms or ones that you suspend from a forklift. They aren't all that expensive.

Hey Daniel, they sell 60cm magnets with wheels for the exact same use as your tire fitter's stick but larger and stronger. It would make it easier and faster to go around with it in the yard and they're pretty cheap!

Look on google you can get hang type magnets that hang on chains at the bottom of the counter weight of your machines they use them on container lifters you could also fit them to your lorries,but the draw back to that is their be picking up road crap wherever they go hope this helps.

Danial, Do you know that rubber will cut easier when wet, therefore thats why tyres are more prone to damage, try knocking a nail in a dry tyre and then do the same with pouring water on the same tyre and see the difference,

how about getting the cold weather liners for the hard hats for your outdoor staff so they area better fit for the hard hat for your staff and looks a lot smarter then a woolly hat under the hard hat
