As popular as this game is, its incredible they did not implement any native support for the most popular FFB wheels/pedals out there..
It’s so sad how difficult Forza makes wheel compatibility… I don’t get how Ac a 10 year old game accepts every wheel with ease and this new multi million dollar made game isn’t as easy
cool setup with the CS and swapping rims, not many people do it but its a good idea since you keep your buttons and paddles
I didn't know you had this video tucked away!!!
Thanks to this, the FFB function works well. However, when FFB is enabled, the lower FPS is still the same. It seems that the game needs to be updated ^^
thank you
Your FPS drops when wheel is plugged in?
@@DansGamingVan FFB on the wheel will drop the frame of the game.
If only the wheel is recognized without FFB operation, there is no frame drop.
@@user-sl6te1ig2h interesting, hopefully you can drop graphic settings to make it run smooth!
fps is low because u run compatibility horizon mode. if u use vjoy (for which u can find instructions on moza site) the fps will not be affrcted...
does it also work with the moza r5 and do you have to do the on and of thing evry time or only the first time
Hey, would you mind letting me know if this would work on the moza r5 aswell? I’m planning on buying it so I need to know since I play forza quite alot❤
You can go to the MOZA Racing CZcams channel, they uploaded a video 12 days ago showing you how to make the wheelbase to work with the game! and I think it is compatibale with all wheelbases from the new r3 to the r21
The RPM should probably work after telemetry ports are configured, yet to check that, need to fix FFB first, thanks for the tip.
Any luck with either? Think lights are possible to get working on fh5 or BeamNG? I am clueless to telemetry stuff
Are you able to use your moza wheel to navigate the forza menu? It seems I can only use mey keyboard or mouse
thx bre i want test it.
is it posible to put your xbox forza horizon 5 accout on your pc account?
In FH4 recognizes it without doing anything, but there is a big loss of fps when connecting the steering wheel, a pity.
awesome.. is this method the same for the moza r5?
Do you have any recommendations for Advanced Control Settings tuning for a Moza R5/R9 at 900 degrees on FH5? Catching slides at default settings at 900 is impossible, and something feels all wrong. 540 is actually a lot better, but I know with deadzone, sensitivity, linearity tuning, etc, 900 can be made to work well. Looks like yours is well dialed.
Thanks!
I am running 100% plain drift presets and turn the FFB up to 80% + driver mod! It took many many hours to get decent at skids, just keep practicing and playing on 900 rotation and you’ll get it no doubt!
YES I GOT FFB. I had to UNCHECK “pedal horizon compatible mode” even though I have Moza CRP pedals they work just fine being usb to PC.
YEEEEEEEESSASSS. I can use this funny clutch pedal to cruise in Forza! YESSSSSSSS.
Sick🔥
Thank you dude!!! Appreciate you, was talking to OBB about you the other day
@@DansGamingVan what?!? Haha, no problem!
Does the force feedback still work in forza you mix Moza Wheel Base with different brand pedal?
Doesn't seem too . I did this an mine dont work stil
after binding everything an rebooting my pc making sure the moza app was running in admin an activating the forza compatibility the wheel reset and it has worked since
Are you on windows 10?
Do you get fps drops while using the wheel?
I get fps drops using the wheel.
Does this work with r5 base? im planning on getting one
My Horizon settings just shut's itself off? And my pedals aren't compatible apparently? (SR-P pedals).
yee I just ordered your base from moza cz my th tx looking sad vs this feeling, I really want to get it as soon as possible!!!
I hope you used my link!! 🤞🏼😂
@@DansGamingVan I was tryed but its just open shop and nothing else :DD
I just ordered a r5 bundle. I hope it works good for fh5 xbox
🙂 awesome and thanks! What shifter and ebrake are you using? I want to get a shifter and ebrake as well for my r9
I just posted a video of my e brake review! But will be upgrading the ebrake very soon
Great, I'll wait for the new video as I am testing out the thrustmaster shifter that should arrive soon. If not I'll try the fanatec shifter
Is there any way to make the Moza wheel work in pair with the Th8a? If I try doing so with my Moza R5, it goes all well, but if I use the Th8a, I lose the force feedback, it is kind of frustrating since I used to play with stick shift all the time.
Oooof that’s strange, it should work on Pc but Forza is so dang weird
Easy solution is sell the th8 and get a Moza shifter… it’s loads better too, if you do, use my link to order please hahhh
will this also work in forza motersport
also i tried some other stuff but didn/t work just want to know how to use moza r5 on fh5 on my pc without adding other weird software. also tried to configure all of it through forza settings to get it to work like with Assetto but that didn't work so i am clueless
Its still not working for me i have a r9 with fsr wheel but my pedals arent moza, so any solution
tried to do it to my brand new moza r5 seeing as i thought this vid could work, however i have no movement or nothing after trying everything
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you dude!!!! Love seeing tiktok names on CZcams!
Hey I am trying my luck here, but I recently got a Moza r9, I used to play FH5 without issues with my Thrustmaster TX and Fanatec Club V3 pedals, now with the R9, the steering axis is not recognized under Vjoy, if I am trying to go without Vjoy, in FH5 my pedals are not recognized... Quite a strange result, the pedals are recognized under the Fanatec app and Windows, but not FH5, works perfectly fine in Dirt Rally 2.0... If anyone has an idea it would be more than welcome. Many thanks!
Sorry for late reply, it seems FH5 doesn’t like MOZA and other sim brands products being mixed together.. everyone who has issues with FH5 + R9 also has mix matched pedals. Maybe shoot an email to FH5 so they’re aware of the issue
@@DansGamingVan Hey, after 10h of troubleshooting, I just used Vjoy, configured all the elements one by one, plugged the wheel first to be recognized in Vjoy, then the pedals and then the handbrake, all connected on a multiusb, then it worked on FH5 with great ffb, don't need to plug unplugged even. Moza instructions were not too bad, they just forgot the vjoy configuration part.
Thanks for the follow up though!
Brooooo you a g
moza racing they recommend using windows 10 for compatibility with forza horizon5 wheel but i am using windows 11.
I want to know if forza horizon5 can be run on Windows 11 as a moza racing product.
Any help would be appreciated.
Yup! I’m sadly on 11 lol… Link in the bio to order Moza hardware, it gives me a small commission :)
I have a moza r12 base and cs rim with fantec csl elite pedals and fanatec shifter and usb handbrake i can configure everthing except the steering it wont let me select steering to map and the rim wont move, any ideas TIA
Dangg I think Forza doesn’t like mix match brand builds, although I’m pretty sure a friend of mine got his Moza r9 and fanatec pedals to work.. keep messing with things, try different orders of plugging in, turning on, and booting up the game.. possibly need to use v joy, good luck
I know I'm a bit late to be commenting: what should I do if Base Forza Compatibility Mode is grayed out as "Not Supported"?
What base do you have?? Possibly try to just follow all the other steps and see if it works
Thank you for the reply: I have an r5, but I have since solved the issue. A firmware update made the setting available.
Didnt work for me for some reason. have tried a few things including making sure its running in admin and everything. Forza just wont understand I have a wheel connected. Any ideas? R5 btw
Side note, unrelated: Been watching you on tiktok since your start, love seein ya!
Do you know of if the Moza R12 will work with FH5?
I’m not sure.. but I’d think it’s possible
@@DansGamingVan I hope you right as it will be arriving soon 😁
@@DDD-xx4mg I’ll have my fingers crossed for you!! Forza is very picky, many people complain the r9 doesn’t work on Forza, but they just aren’t setting it up right… I’d imagine if r12 doesn’t work naturally maybe it will using VJoy
@@DansGamingVan Do you think I should cancel and maybe go Fanatec for better compatibility although I do prefer Moza from everything I’ve seen so far as I’ll probably want to play the upcoming crew motorfest and test drive. Sim racing is great but sometimes you just need chill and drive around an open world
@@DDD-xx4mg I enjoy a cruise on more arcady games too, honestly thats totally on you.. I cant say moza won't be compatible on those games, but I definitely cant say they will be compatible either... I havent looked into it enough to have a good answer, fanatec are good, just pricey, and expensive adapter to get aftermarket wheels on their bases is all
I do this and nothing works. I wish large tipple A game would work.
For me its not working some how i managed to MAP the wheel and pedals but still no FFB....
I am new to Direct Wheel Drive and using Moza R5
Dang!! Still no luck? Might need to try VJoy
When I connect my pedals/wheel my controls are all out of wack. (Ex. Gas pedal looks right) when try to reconfigure in the forza setting I can’t get anything to remap to the appropriate action, furthermore I get this endless scrolling up. Anyone have any help?
I’ve done every step on every CZcams video I could find including this one and still don’t work lol
What is that wheel
I can get the FFB to work on the Base, but the SRP pedals arent registering so i can map them. Any ideas on why the pedals arent working with FH5?
Hmmm my SRP had no issues.. unplug replug restart pc then try again maybe
Tried everything. Feel like I should have bought a Fanatec for ease of compatibility
@@Harmy87 hate to say it but it’s not a product issue… the pedals are plug and play.
i have the same problem with srp pedals (
Is this the steam version
Still not working for me I had moza R12
My game shoes crosses over all controls under wheel i don’t know what to do
Forza is not detecting the wheel at all even after following these steps. Not just no force feedback, no controls work at all
I got the same setup, and everything works, its just the ffb just seems dead. even when i follow ur instructions, Would you make a video on ur settings? DETAILED rundown.
What pedals do you have?
did you managed to fix this?

Yah man even when I do all this and open the game and restart my wheel I still get no force feedback I have the same set up you have
Me also, it's frustrating to see other people with same setup being able to play but I can't. Game is not playable without ffb.
better than me, mine doesn't even do anything at all.
How do get the game to recognize the wheel. It doesn't think I have anything plugged in
My buddy is having this issue, did you solve it?
@DansGamingVan no sadly not for 5 but for some reason forza 4 works perfect so I have been playing that lol
@@Skeggyboi5000 dangit, sorry man. If you find an answer let me know!
I can get the FFB to work, unfortunately though my FPS drops to like 37-40 and stays there anytime I touch an input on the wheel/shifter/pedals. I genuinely don’t understand, it bugs me beyond belief because I love this game.
Try closing the Moza app after everything is working possibly… Let me know if that worked!
I have the same behavior after getting the wheel, pedals and shifter all working. Playing with a controller I'm well over 100 FPS. The second I take control with the wheel, it drops to ~60 FPS.
@@DansGamingVan I will definitely give it a try once I get some time too and let you know how it worked!
@@DansGamingVan just tried this morning. Unfortunately still doesn’t work, kind of just seems like I’m stuck at 40 FPS until a new forza comes out with more support or forza drops an update to address it.
beginning to wish i never bought a r9 because i cant play anything
Please help I don't have Instagram I can't get my moza r9 to work at all did all the settings in moza turn them on for wheel base and pedals and it still won't work nothing shoes under wheels presets in game
Try going to the custom wheel button lay out instead of the presets
RPM lights dont work on logitech wheels in forza either so I suspect forza just does not support rpm lights.
How is the biggest racing game so far behind in so many ways?😭😭
The rpm lights work for me tho 😅 and i use the r9 with cs wheel
R5 es wheel lights work, I saw a video with a guy using his
Hey I have a moza r5 and I can’t get the ffb to work anyone else have this issue I did everything in the vid but can’t get it to work
Can someone help me its not work by my wheel have moza r5
Mines don’t even work with the way you showed on the video the support on the moza tried everything from downloading vjoy to following step by step on the moza website nothing even work does not recognize my wheel or the r9 I am stump
When you go on wheel settings there's a layout/profile button at the top with absolutely no indication to do anything but had to click right arrow to select a custom profile
@@DansGamingVan if your telling me in the game I get to that part after turning on forza compatibility mode when I go to control and wheel setting is all blank I had windows eleven before but just managed to go back to windows 10 it works fine in asserta racing but not forza man I wanted so hard to rip the roads too
im having the same issue @@elielhernandezfiguer
so in this way, you dont even need Vjoy?
I got Moza Racing R9 and Forza Horison 4 and 5 from Steam, but I get message "duplicate binding" and cant bind my accelerator and brake pedals in configurator in Vjoy.
I will try this way tomorrow, and I hope I can play it with my wheel.
1:15 I have Forza Horizon 4 and 5, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competione, KraftKart, iRacing, Dirt Rallhy 2.0 so far.
by Turning "Base Horison Compatible mode" ON, does it affect to other game?
do I have to turn it off after playing Forza Horizon?
I try to turn it off before playing other games but have left it on and had no issues. No VJoy needed, could v joy get GTA working with FFB? Lol
@@DansGamingVan thank you. 1:11 didnt work for me.
Base Horizon compatible mode was ON already.
I should have tried turn it off and then turn it on again.
in my case Forza Horizon 4 doesnt even have Wheel setting, and 5 didnt have wheel setting either but, somehow it appeared, but still R9 is not working in the game somehow.
I have the same problem,
in Forza Horizon 4 there is not even a steering wheel setting, installing vjoy also does nothing.
did you manage to solve the problem?
@@kerwinkarnel nope.
did you get the game from Steam?
could you at least bind and finish the vjoy?
you could bind in the vjoy but didnt work in the game?
if I could use R9 for the game, I will comment here.
@@kerwinkarnel did you follow instructions in the video, carefully, step by step?
This doesn't work.
Plugging in Base only has FFB. As soon as another device is plugged in and activated (Shifter, CRP pedals), the FFB is gone. Power cycling only re-activates FFB if other devices aren't used. Is there something else you did?
Leave everything plugged in and turn the base on before you open Forza
It does work. You literally just watched video proof of me playing Forza with the Moza 😭😂
DansGamingVan There must be something else. Do you have the wheelbase on a separate USB 3.0? I've done exactly as you described (everything on, run Pit, set compat, run game, set controls, power off wheel from base), and tried many other iterations (disconnect from USB, same USB hub, separate USB, only wheel on add others later, only others on add wheel later). Still no results. I am using CRP pedals and TH8A shifter - all work just not with FFB.
@@SFJay1 dang that’s frustrating… I have everything plugged into one USB splitter.. I had to set bind controls on Forza then leave game and try again. You have Horizon mode on and leave Moza app open?
@@DansGamingVan Definitely, I haven't tried running it without the app. I bound the controls like 6 hours ago. Horizon mode on both base and pedals.
Do you have anything updated? I checked the box and it did nothing at all, doesn't work.
Replying to myself to say the main issue was I needed to use the left and right arrows to set up a new configuration for the wheel settings, didn't have anything to do with anything in this video.
now if you can do a video that goes over how to set up the configuration so I have force feedback and correct steering that'd be great.
@@sarsebola4148 Moza put out an installation guide that includes the config file for FFB
Bro I try it’s not. Working pls
My Forza 5 doesn't recognize my Moza wheel at all. Nothing there. I have tried updates and I am now trying to put it moza files in the game folder but it wouldn't allow me. Frustrated.
my r12 wheel base is doing the same thing did you figure it out?
I manage to instal Moza Pitstop. There is updates in there that you have to click on. Then there is instructions to download a file from moza homepage and move it over to the game files but it would not allow me to move in the file there so I have up. @@masonbarr8494

You are a legend, thank you
It’s only working wheel but pedal no work. This is MOZA R9
write if you have solved problem )
Sadly i can't play forza with my r9 because i have an aftermarket steering wheel that doesn't have buttons... 🙁(i can't save my controls because of required bindings...).I don't understand how this problem is still not solved, being a problem that was present on many other fh series, and a lot of people comlaining about it!! (especially controler users). It doesn't fit in my head how someone could make such a beautiful game and still making such stupid decisions ("required bindings"). Makes me hate the hole game for that...!😡
Dang!!! Might have to get a CS wheel for Forza only! Hahahah
@@DansGamingVanhaha! yeah! that will never happen! i don't spend 300 for a wheel that i will use just for binding controls in forza... i now for sure that i will not actually use it because i don't like how it looks...
@@sleit0n hahah yeah I didn’t even want to spend $60 to play Forza let alone $300 hahaha
@@DansGamingVan update: i can play it now because i have a saved profile in wheel controls from the wheel i had before (csl dd) 😅. so... at least i can play it... I recomend u to use vjoy! is much easier, u don't need to turn on/of base, it solved the problem with game clntrolers ordering and also fps is not affected (like with horizon compatibile mode).
@@DansGamingVan but, i still have a problem... the game doesn't rcognize all the equipment that i have, it recognizes only 3 of them and i have 4 (moza r9 base, pedals from fanatec, shifter and handbrake). Did u managed to get all that u have to work with forza, even the handbrake?
this did nothing for me sadly
I think things may have changed since I made this video, i haven’t given Forza a try since making this vid.. maybe I’ll try to make an updated vid
Afraid doing this step by step does not work on my R5
You have my condolences :( I’ll email Moza and ask about FH5, CarX compatibility on the other bases!
Figured it out pal, had vjoy downloaded, once removed it began to work once I programmed each input. If I switched the R5 on during the game though it would kick me out and had to restart the launch path.
This doesn’t work. I don’t get how it just started working for you without any of these killjoy apps and stuff. You could’ve faked this by not showing your inputs. For me this base have never worked once for forza 5
I turn off my r5 and turn it back on but no force feedback
You follow the steps in the video the exact same?? I haven’t used an R5 yet so I can’t speak for them.. but play with it, make sure the horizon mode is turned on, try starting the game and then plugging in your wheel or other variations of order of operations
