    Thank you very much. I use a g920 myself, but what I really like about your videos is the way you explain things. What they do, how they work. I've been trying to fiddle with my g920 trying to understand. Hours I've spent. Still not happy, then you put this video out. And it all falls in to place :) Not using the exact same as you, but I use yours as a reference. It helped a ton. Happy racing.

      Do you have any idea what I could do to stop my wheel from shaking back and forth anytime i’m not holding it really tight, it ends up doing it way worse in cars with drift suspension and i’ve tried everything i can think of to make it work properly but it still won’t. I have a g920 also and this happens on carx so it’s not just a forza thing

      @@evanloeffler6772 It's the FFB feeding back the road surface and car movements. It's something you have to get use to with a wheel but turning down your FFB will definitely help 👍 also soften your suspension off a little on the springs , damping and rebound.

    From my fingertips on a logitech. The vibration setting turned off cuts your road and slip feedback in half. Its not like a controller where it has little rumble packs for vibration input. The vibration on the wheel is its actual feedback its putting in with the motor for your real wheel harmonics, so slipping, bumping, buffering. All that is basically lost if you turn vibration off. Then its only up to actual motor tension and load in a turning situation to actually give you real road vibration feedback. Thats how I understand it to work. I could be wrong. But I've tried it for a while off and on and back off for about a week the last time I messed with wheel tuning and it completely deadened the experience with it off.

    Hello, thanks for these settings.
    I upgraded from a TM 458 spider wheel (Red) with 270 rotation, and no FFB to a TM TMX with FFB and 900 degree rotation.
    I have tried several different settings videos and this one seems to suit me the most.
    At first your settings felt great but the rotation of the wheel was what kept screwing me up.
    The amount of FFB and understeer correction would throw me right off the road nearly every time.
    After I reduced the rotation to my familiar 270 it was night and day (largely due to past familiarity).
    As a tip for people struggling to get comfortable, I'd offer these tips:
    1) scale up to 900, crawl before run.
    2) squeeze the throttle in, don't floor it.
    3) use blueprint mode to disable npcs
    4) just like scaling up to 900 rotation, you should try to scale up car performance levels as well (A, B, C, etc)
    Good luck guys, and thanks for the video.

    • @ForceFedFetusFillet
      @ForceFedFetusFillet Před 7 měsíci

      @@prakhararora3303 one tip I can definitely suggest though is changing the sensitivity on the wheel.
      This is NOT done through a settings menu.
      You have to hit both paddle shifters and the Y and B buttons simultaneously. This will cycle through THREE sensitivity modes.
      This will probably help you more than any settings will.
      I used to use the third setting.
      *when you disconnect the wheel from your console the settings revert also.

    If anyone is wondering, this is hands down the best explanation video on FH5 wheel settings ive come across. He is right about all the other streamers and youtubers who ask to put what we think settings mean down in the comments. If you dont know dont make a video guessing what they are!! One a side note, Im using a DD1 wheel and I cant quite pin down what setting(or combo of settings) im missing. I cant get it to feel quite right. Now I know they have had massive problems with direct drive wheels working right in this game. Hell, we couldn't even play the game without crashing unless we rolled back to 3 year old drivers! Im still on those old drivers because they STILL haven't fixed this yet. So im not sure if that is the issue or what. My wheel always feels "loose" in the middle when I'm driving straight. like there is no immediate feedback maybe a couple degrees or so left/right. once I'm past that it feels ok. Ive spent probably hundreds of hours trying different tunes/settings. Im almost exactly where you have your settings at. The problem I think im having is on my DD1 I can change wheel settings on the fly. Like FFB intensity, damper settings, and even rotation. Im also on PC. But im wondering if the games settings are clashing with the wheel settings. So for example, I have set my wheel rotation to 900 or sometimes 540 when i need to drift or something. I dont mess with the steering sensitivity in game. I know you said you dont have the option on console. But do you think it would be better for me to leave the wheel rotation on say 1080 or 900 and change it in game only? Next question, is what do you think your default rotation is at? I know you dont have that option on console but I guess im asking what do you think the games default is? Example: if the game defaults to 540 and ive got my wheel settings at 900 and left the game sensitivity on default what am I actually at lol? Its very hard to tell lol. Also I'm deff going to follow your gamertag in FH5. I'm always looking for wheel specific tunes! Thanks for making this video. sry this was long!

    Love your video, have only been racing with a wheel for 3 months this is the best wheel setup for FH 5 so far but I am having an issue with the wheel throwing the car into a spin out on some turns and drifting well its next to impossible , every attempted drift results into a spin out . The best way to describe whats happening , it feels like the driveshaft broke while racing down the track throwing the car left or right and spinning out of control if you have experienced that in real life you know that feeling you get in the wheel once the Driveshaft breaks . BTW I am using a TMX , and on a PC .

    Man thanks for this video - it was really helpful, however I am new to drifting with a wheel and I am still struggling quite a bit (I run a Logi G923). I feel like my wheel doesn't want to smoothly and completely go from centering to counter-steering like it should, and like it appears to do for other FH5 drifters (when watching wheel cams such as yours) when trying to transition my drifts.
    I can initiate via weight transfer (or clutch kick or ebrake) and then catch & hold a single nice drift with decent regularity now, and I FEEL like I am starting to "get" what the wheel is trying to tell me mid-drift, but when that first drift has run it's course and it's time to transition the other way, it all goes sideways (pun somewhat intended). In transition, my wheel centers, but only about 80-90% of the way, if that makes any sense. What this means is that when I am trying to transition a drift, as the back-end of my car comes around my wheel starts to center but regularly stops self-centering mid-transition (when the wheel is basically centered, with front tires pointing more or less straight forward), and if I want to get the back-end to continue to come around enough to be able to catch and hold that drift going the other way, I have to let my wheel center like it properly should, then grab it and chuck it (hard) into the drift, but then almost immediately I have to stop and initiate counter-steering on my own. In practice this means I look like I am trying to mug my setup when transitioning a drift - just grabbing & chucking my wheel all over the place, fighting it like crazy.
    When I try to be smooth and let the wheel do a lot of the work for me (like you see with other experienced drifters on this & other games) the drift goes no where. Modulating my throttle input doesn't seem to impact this much. Even if I overcook a transition with way to much power & wheelspin, my front wheels center themselves coming out of the previous drift, but won't start to counter steer going the other way on their own (they just stop at center and stay there instead of continuing on into counter steer like it FEELS like they should) - I just slowly spin out, unless I VERY aggressively initiate and then stop/catch the counter steer angle needed for the drift.

    First off (Thank You). I just bought the G920. I have the Xbox series x. I have been struggling but, after watching your video things are making more since. However, I have new settings that I have not seen before on any video. In advance settings I have Steering Rotation, Steering lock multiplier, and steering speed sensitivity. I'm not sure how to set them. Plus, I was wondering if I could hook up to my computer and set settings then re-hook back to the console and if they would work. Thank you.

    Just a tip for the deadzones - if you possess the G920 "Driving Force" edition, I'd recommend cranking the outside brake deadzone to like 90%, since the brake has that annoying resistance block, which makes it almost impossible to push the brake fully. Handy in SIms like ACC, but in Forza, this makes no sense.

      open it and take out the rubber block and you wont have that problem :D easy fix the brake will still be hard to press but you can fully press it in and brake proberly

    first and foremost, hats off to you for actually look into it and not just shit out a clickbait video
    and i've got quick question about drifting, do you think its easier or harder with a wheel with less then 900° or are both the same? i have a g920 and the countersteering is really weird cuz the wheel has to "move" a longer distance before i can feel it catching the car
    edit: i now tested em out and ye, i love it like this, way more immersive and fun to driv, but also a bit harder, but i'll get used to it :D

    Using g29 Using mechanical trail scale 0.9 I can't feel loss of traction, I have to lower it all the way down to 0.1 or 0.2 then I can feel it anything over that and the wheel is numb. Edit, I read that the g29 wheel damper scale should be tuned down as it can drown out the ffb, Loss of traction feel will try this when I get home, also centre spring scale possibly turn down, according to a post the g29 torque isn't as strin as thrust master so will benefit from less wheel damper and centre spring ,can't wait to try this out.

    Don’t have this issue on my controller, only on my g29 - when I’m cornering, the car does not like to turn in nicely. Even on the fast corners which you can take near enough flat out on controller, the wheel just doesn’t turn in and it feels like the brakes are on leaving black lines on the road. It’s like having horrendous underwater and brakes jammed on at the same time.
    Any ideas what this could be?

    Just upgraded to a g923 today from tmx f458 with no ff and I must say you’re right about most these other CZcamsrs not fully knowing what they’re talking about. You’re settings feel the best and I’ve tried a couple CZcamsrs so far. I’m still trying to learn how to control my drifts and not spin out but for racing this helps a lot with keeping control of the car. But for off-roading and rally races would these settings still be the same with the off road scale turned down?

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for the great feedback 😎👊 Yes I use these settings for offforad aswell. You may find on a G923 you may need to turn the Offorad scale a couple more points as for somereason they feel slightly stronger. Alot fo the spinning out can be sorted with car tuning 👍 I've released a how to tune video a few days ago. Use the suspension tuning guide to help add grip. Lower your Tire pressure in the rear 20/25psi.Adjust your diff down on Acceleration and half on Deceleration, Use toe out on the front around 0.5-1 and toe In on the rear 0.3-1 . These will help you keep the rear in control. Once I've done the drift video I will be doing a video on How to tune Drift cars 👊

    18:25 Good demonstration for how the wheel is supposed to do the work of countersteering for you. Unfortunately I'm only feeling centering forces with your settings. Any idea how to fix that? (I got a TMX and my drivers/firmware are up to date)

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  Před 2 lety +1

      It's the weight changes in the wheel that let you know what's going on.. the centering is the wheel trying to pull back center for countersteer , if it goes lighter or the weight reduces you are losing traction. Unfortunately in FH5 there isn't a very good feeling of understeer unlike other games like FH4 or even FM7 where this was easier to pick up on. I hope this helps

    • @AdamsApples

      @@wheelspintv6864 Hm well I seem to have restarted my game and enabled this new BOOST setting in the Thrustmaster control panel so my wheel works now. I find it sometimes confusing defining all these terms correctly, but it was the alignment forces (mechanical trail scale) that does the counter steering for you when drifting, and that's what I was missing. The centering forces on the other hand will always pull the wheel to center position, no matter your speed or drift angle... at least thats how I understand it given the forza wheel tuning guide.

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  Před 2 lety

      @@AdamsApples I use the center spring for the weight of the centering to "self steer" the mechanical scale is the alignment of tourque from the different settings combined.
