Great way to put it I'm feeling the same way! This really showed her TURE self as she said she has alot of self discipline for the other roles she has to play. Great to see her be able to let down for once 🙌
I never really grew up with Miley Cyrus. I never really followed her father's music either. However, ever since Black Mirror, I've gained more and more respect for her. I always liked her music even if I didn't know it was her initially. Now with her new album and subsequent interviews, I admire her more and more. What candor and enthusiasm she has!
At 1 hour and 11 minutes on the counter 1:11:00 I hope Joe remembers what he says about how tyrants are created. He keeps talking about the weirdness of fame, how kings become tyrants because of their absolute power. The Trump Insurgency is that evil he describes. He best speak out against that.
Miley's album Bangerz is what brought me into her music. She had some great party beats but her ballads hit my heart like a dagger. My Momma is a Sagittarius and I always admired her resilience. (Daddy is a Scorpio that kept Dolly spinning on the record player) I had my first daughter in '16 and she came into this world with a heart full of compassion. Her big brother and I have our birthdays back to back (two Virgos) and she is a bull headed Taurean lady ---- with a heart of gold. Her latest jam is Miley's "Flowers". She is going through her first heartbreak. She felt Miley had written that song due to her heartbreak. My Momma explained Miley had her heart broken but she isn't letting that stop her from living her life to the fullest. My daughter suggested this song for me and I was speechless. She found Miley on her own and felt a connection. I told her she is more in touch with her heart than most....she reminds me of her brother. Now, her and her sister (our lone water sign --- Pisces) dance to this tune with their brother. He is their pilot; they need to spin, then spin away! I'm glad Miley is still with us, ever evolving and reaching even the youngest of hearts to soothe the troublesome aches but show that yes: there is a light, shining, waiting to illuminate you as you dance and learn to love yourself again.
Perfectly structured and very impressively written. If you haven’t written a book yet, Spirit is urging me to pass along that information. Follow thru completely and everything is going to change in a big way. No questions, just go do it

Love this!!!!!!!!! Yes Miley! And I love the way Joe encourages her and almost helping her see that she is a great person who has been through some shit! Finding someone with there own autonomy is vital!
My 8 year old grand daughter wrote a book about coming from a divorced home. It’s about not being in a traditional family. It was the best therapy in the world for her. Some song some write and in Miley’s case, she does both
I did not expect this. Two things that stood out to me; Miley’s fight against the media and the way they try to portray her. And, the fact that Joe is able to have this platform. To get real people on and you are able to see the real person. My perspective on Miley has completely changed. It’s a wake up call in a sense. The media can really distort and twist someone too appear in a way that will generate the most clicks. Hats off to you Miley.
It’s tragic really that people are so naive to media manipulation, but it happens literally every day. People rarely even have the headspace to try figure out the multiple sides to an issue that is vaguely portrayed in the media, let alone the wisdom to weigh it up.
As someones whos never heard her music or watched whatever show she was on, I didnt really know what to expect but I definitely had a negative view of her. My opinion has changed for the better.
she actually speaks very well and it's very interesting hearing her speak. Her celebrity persona is very different than herself. Was her fan since her disney days still am.
@@KristinaInTheShower it's aite everyone entitled to their opinion just stating mine. I'm bias cuz miley hannah montana days were my childhood and to see her evolve, go through hardships and find herself i just found it nice to see. Just my opinion haha.
The best interview Joe has done in my opinion. Thoughtful, insightful and engaging from both Joe and Miley. She is so down to earth, grounded and self aware despite her supreme stardom and spotlight from an early age that usually wrecks adulthood for such kid stars. Composed, self aware of her privileges, her weaknesses, her strengths and having the clarity of mind to have perspective, relationships to make adjustments in all areas of her life. Props to Joe Rogan for being able to get guests to speak freely and easily and authentically like this. Miley sounded not at all disingenuous at any time during this interview. Watched this twice. An excellent interview that gives a deep insight into Miley as a clearly Intelligent woman with many many layers of consciousness.
My favourite parts: 36:58 People will blame you for their own insecurities 49:40 Being praised is like getting high and you will eventually crash 1:04:27 Reflecting on growing up being praised all the time 1:27:58 "If you cannot love yourself, how in the hell you're gonna be able to love anybody else?" 2:05:38 The disco ball
Was never a fan or follower of Miley - not for any particular reason other than I'm older and I didn't think her music would fit into my taste. However, I watched the Disney special on Endless Summer Vacation and gained a whole new perspective on the woman she has become. Did some internet searches and found this interview. Well worth the watch/listen. She's an amazing artist and I am now a fan for life. Also, Joe and Miley mentioned some books and I have ordered them. Very intelligent conversation and a refreshing look at a child star who seems to have her shit together.
This woman has been thru WAY MORE than she'll ever tell, and more than 99% of people will ever experience. I don't envy anybody who grew up in hollywood
@@DavidBruce69 Do you have any idea how evil hollywood is? Specifically to child stars? Being rich and famous doesn't equal an easy and happy life my friend
I don't deny it was hard for her. But with all hard work and pressure she still had loving family and a lot of assets which allowed her to make mistakes, get best doctors to make up for them and e.t.c. Far more than one percent of all people in the world are fated to live in dirt with no way out.
@mark mark - definitely agree. Being famous sounds awesome, but she's next level famous. Imagine having dozens of paparazzi everytime you leave your damn house. Everything she did has been judged. It's good to see she's on the right track out of that, her music now is absolutely amazing
Never listened to interview with Miley. Wasn't really into her but great to see how cool she is! You are such a good interviewer Joe and so kind to your guests. Live you!❤
You can tell she's done a lot of therapy. All her cues come out hard, she's very self aware and recognizes her issues, and how she gets over it. You can see where she mentions an issue and that is aware of it, but is still able to go on the right path after it anyway.
Yea ur absolutely right you said it perfectly. Honestly it’s so dope... really makes me want to start therapy as well. She’s seems so at peace with who she is and what she’s been through. Very wise.
Isn't it interesting how a book can change your life. I think that Dr. Daniel Amen's work is so important. I am so glad that Miley has been lucky enough to have him in her life. This is a wonderful conversation, Joe. Thank you..!
i relate so hard with when she talked about being called cold by everyone just because she leaves when things are over & how she has guilt for it (AND the caring for dogs part too omg). i have NEVER heard ANYONE talk about it and i feel so understood right now 😢😢😢 OMG and she said she likes watersigns?! bro i’m a scorpio sun and sagittarius rising (miley’s a sagi) and i’m feeling so understood rnnnnnnnn
I didn’t dislike her I just wasn’t a fan. The constant negative publicity about her may have clouded the judgement, not sure. As to why these podcasts are great cause u get to hear the individual for who they really are
@@PM-xj5fp Yeah I get it I too have judged people just by rumors and tabloid articles and headlines, it's not really fair to the person. They're just people at the end of the day like the rest of us. 1:07:00 me singing “I’m just an ordinary girl” 😂 such a weird duo to me but I love it tbh. Joe is honestly like the supportive spiritual dad I never had
I think he is treating her as a child. Instead of listening he keeps giving her life lessons. He comes across as not intelligent enough to realize what he is doing. I just wanted to listen to her perspective and he just wouldn't stop giving his life lessons :)))
I was raised with a mother that essentially did what the kind of books Miley wants to write. She talked to me about drugs, (what they do, situations that could happen etc. ), human trafficking, child abuse and all of the bad things in life. my suggestion on having books like this is occasionally there should be a “GOOD exists and it takes active action” message, to add to the books. Add a couple good things that are done/you can do books. Of course They wont counter balance the negatives of the world but it makes life less bleak to the reader
This is one of the biggest surprises I've ever experienced watching an interview. I know/knew NOTHING about Miley Cyrus and only began watching because I was curious to know why Joe would have her on the show. I now think she is one of the most incredible artists I've ever heard in an interview, especially for her age. But even more impressive is the Way Joe encourages Soul searching in his guests, addressing some of the issues Miley has had to overcome in her life as a child star without ever insulting her or demoralizing her; in fact, he does the exact opposite, asks questions in a Way that empowers Miley to speak and reveal her Soul. Honestly, one of most incredible interviews I have ever watched. He must be an amazing father to his children, he is so non-judgmental, and so refreshing to watch. Good job, Joe... Youth need to watch more interviews like this.
Watching JRE has personally helped me through depression. You can listen to this podcast as you go through the day and always feel better about things.
Miley, love your work and your strength to be real and show your authentic, vulnerable self. Inspired my daughter, and many others; I’m sure, to do the same. My dog also used to sing. Perfect pitch too and he definitely had his favourites. Xavier Rudd, Bliss n eso, Eminem and Johnny cash… he just HAD to sing haha. We were a singing house, not TV and he fit right in. Keep shining gorgeous. Thanks Joe for your interesting, thought provoking, interview style. Where you let people be themselves and take them further than they perhaps thought possible. The world needs more people like you (both) in it.

* my buddy, miley cyrus..
She's also Hannah Montana
No questions, just go do it
@@joeydmx1983 Wow thank you! I just made a comment the other day that I need to write a book. I was waiting on a sign to show me if it would be worth it. I got your reply and about dropped the phone.
Totally. Hat s off to her dad too. Loving it that he has to drive to get Internet. Yes!

An excellent interview that gives a deep insight into Miley as a clearly
Intelligent woman with many many layers of consciousness.
*insightful
My favourite parts:
36:58 People will blame you for their own insecurities
49:40 Being praised is like getting high and you will eventually crash
1:04:27 Reflecting on growing up being praised all the time
1:27:58 "If you cannot love yourself, how in the hell you're gonna be able to love anybody else?"
2:05:38 The disco ball
I loved "I hate being behind myself"
"I did not have a great idea of reality at that time" very few people can self assess this way.
Joe was very fatherly to Miley in this episode and it's honestly so sweet.
Definitely nice 👍🏼. Probably cause he knew her initially from seeing her as a child star from his kids growing up watching her. Nice to see it tho
I now have a newfound respect for Miley Cyrus. She possesses a much more depth than I'd expected.

You can tell she's done a lot of therapy. All her cues come out hard, she's very self aware and recognizes her issues, and how she gets over it.
You can see where she mentions an issue and that is aware of it, but is still able to go on the right path after it anyway.

I think he is treating her as a child. Instead of listening he keeps giving her life lessons. He comes across as not intelligent enough to realize what he is doing. I just wanted to listen to her perspective and he just wouldn't stop giving his life lessons :)))
Miley's covers are what made me a big fan. She's the same age as my youngest. So I've watchered her grow and mature over the years. Just love her.
