SCP-1931-J “The Eternal Ballroom” Object class: Safe (Euclid class pending) Description: SCP-1931-J is that of a 1930’s-looking ballroom, albeit not decorated in the slightest, aside from the cream white wallpaper, and the decorative carpet indicative of the era. Though the building itself has been abandoned with no signs of voluntary upkeep, the ballroom(s) appear to be in mint condition. A looping track of “Heartaches” by Al Bowlly plays constantly through the room, but degrades in quality as the ballroom is traversed into. SCP-1931-J was located at ████████ in 2016. It was discovered by a group of teenagers exploring the abandoned building attached to the Anomaly. As the teenagers went through, they discovered that the ballroom never seemed to end when entering through the sets of double doors on either side of the ballroom, however, they began to experience rapid progression of signs of dementia, as memories they had long cherished had began to grow faint, and blurry. When regressing back the way they came, their memories began to return. One member of the group stated that one friend had gone extremely deep into the ballroom, tied with a rope around their waist, and had brought a rolling chair, in case they had stopped.
